The food is average diner food, nothing incredible. The hash browns are the shredded part-cooked kind that barely gets seared on the flat top grill which I don't care for. I wonder if you can substitute home fries or perhaps French fries? Anyhow Irish we could give partial stars because really our experience this morning should be about 3.5 because the young guy the was our server was prompt, courteous and helpful, but the whole experience did not quite reach four stars with the average food. I can't remember the last time I went to an ihop! I was convinced to go by niece who really wanted to eat there. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted and there was no wait (we did arrive around lunchtime). Our server was really nice and attentive. If I could give zero stars I would. Absolute garbage attention to detail. Receptionist allowed another person to grab my order from DoorDash firstly. I thought, "hey maybe shes' just overwhelmed seeing as it is Mother's Day, ill just cancel the order and go get it myself since my wife really wants The Cinnamon World-Famous Pancake Combo." She directs me to the front lobby where they very poorly placed the take out racks in the waiting area filled with customers who are hungry and patience have clearly run thin. As I walk over I see a DoorDasher almost take the wrong order before my very eyes. If not for the other dasher correcting them and saying "William P. is mine, there's a William R. on the bottom shelf that may be yours", yet another customer would have not received their order. Again, I blame that on the business for not appointing someone to verify each order goes to the correct customer. Alas, I get home with the food to my family that, much like the customers in the lobby, have grown hungry and impatient, only to find out the worst was yet to come. As I get the food out we realize IT WAS COMPLETELY MADE INCORRECTLY. Cinnamon pancakes were plain, Extra Hickory-Smoked Bacon Strips was paid (Over 7$) and nowhere to be found, and the Scrambled eggs did not have the cheese that we paid an extra 2$ for. 2$ FOR CHEESE AND YOU CANT GET IT RIGHT?! We've been coming here for two years every other Sunday. Usually it's fantastic, their food is well cooked, the management is always great, it takes us 15 minutes to get in, 2 minutes to order food 15 minutes to get the food. Not this time, Suzan our waitress would be the reason for that, it was the worst, we waited 45 minutes for our food, she did not come to our table besides to ask us for our food order and hand us a check, then she got my order wrong, and I couldn't even catch her to ask to get it fixed because every time she passed our table she ignored us. Then took the plate when we were not finished and it goes on and on. She was completely rude and I get it when you're busy you gotta do the work and get it done fast but it seemed like we were not the only table she waited that felt this way. I ordered the banana ones and poured some nice thick blueberry syrup over them - yum :) I had a sunny side on the side! too. Upon walking in at 12:30 on a Saturday my Girlfriend and I were told there was a 20 minute wait time. We had no problem waiting. When we were finally seated it took 30 minutes to meet our server and an extra 15 minutes to get our drinks. We placed our entire order (appetizer and entrees) and didn't get anything until and hour and 30 minutes later. Server forgot what I ordered and we had her take it off the check. Our server would walk up to our table to tell us the cooks are slow even though there were at least 3 people in the kitchen. This is the 2nd time i dinned here and felt unwelcomed. i got assigned to Server Jordan again and she saw me sitting and she was hanging out in the kitchen standing around. After five minutes she decided to walk over to me and take my order. i remembered how she treated me the last time i was in the restaurant and felt uncomfortable with her so i left. i decided to go back and ask for another server so the hostess gave me Mel. After i was reseated Jordan said something to her and after that talk Mel acted like she didn't want to wait on me. Mel checked on all her other tables except for me. i was never asked for a refill on my drink or nothing. It seems like this ihop is not open to outsiders and people they do not know. My friends and I annually have breakfast at IHOP and they never disappoint. There was no wait for seating and the waitress was very patient and attentive. She checked in a few times so we wouldn't be left waiting, but had no problem giving us more time when we weren't ready to order yet a few times. IHOP was very accommodating to allergies, allowing substitutions when asked. I wish the food was a little hotter, it was just warm, but still good. The chocolate milkshake was rich and very enjoyable. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, and the French toast was very tasty. The pancakes looked slightly overcooked, but I took them in a box togo because the rest of the combo was very filling. I don't know what IHOP the negative reviews are reviewing. I guess I just come at the same right time ever time. I wouldn't say I'm a regular but me and Family probably make it there once a month. Place managed by an older gentleman that has been there forever. He runs a clean, tight ship with usually a speedy young staff. It's mixed there as far as age but even though he seems to get a lot of young people he trains them well as all are polite and attentive for the most part. As far as food, it is one of the very few places I can honestly say I comment every time that the food comes out looking exactly like the beautiful pictures in the menus and it's delicious! I mean please people it is an IHOP! It's yummy cheap eats! The Cherry Hill guy that said we "left full and happy" and gave a three star review......shame on you. I guess next time you should go to the Chop House.......then again you won't be leaving paying less then $30 for your family for lunch. I mean the 2 stacks combined would have been equal to one 2 stack with how SMALL these pancakes were. They were so thin and small it wasn't even worth the price. I got mine like the elf pancakes, just not green and I got a silver 5 with strawberries and whipped cream for my daughter and neither of them came out how we asked for them, so they had to be sent back to be done correctly.
