We were looking for a place to eat while in the area and decided on Ollie Gators. Attentive and friendly service . My husband loved his chicken cheese steak and the French fries were delicious. My garden salad was a nice size and had lots of olives the way I like. I was given a home made veggie burger to take home and try. Will get back to you! Came here on a weekend afternoon which wasn't too busy inside which surprised us because outside it looks like a small hole in the wall establishment. Greeted at the door and seated right away with a bag of popcorn. Nice touch. Waitress brought over waters and was very kind with taking our order. Music is playing and the wrap around bar was pretty full. Seated about 15-20 people I would say and there's TVs all around to watch anything you'd like. Started out with the Santa Fe Rolls which were very crisp and hot out the kitchen. Packed with chicken and dippings to enjoy. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was very tasty as well. Didn't taste like "Nashville" hot but just regular spicy hot, if you get what I mean. Bread was toasted on the inside but soft on the out. Crispy chicken and cooked perfectly. Blue cheese on the side makes the sandwich that much better. The Reuben was stacked high with corned beef and it was great. Top Notch Buffalo Wings!! Stopped in with my girlfriend after shopping locally on a Wednesday night. We've both been to Ollie Gator's before but it's been years, and we've both been meaning to get back. It was a lot more crowded that I expected it to be at 8pm on a Wednesday but that's a great sign. Tables were filled and we got the last two available bar seats. It seemed like there were lots of locals and the people we talked to were regulars who were very nice and gave us some great recommendations. We stuck to basics with our drinks. Yuengling drafts and Surfside iced teas. My beer tasted like you'd expect a draft beer to taste so no complaints there. We ordered 4 different items to split. Loaded fries, wings, chicken quesadillas, and pazotti bites. All the food was fantastic, especially for bar food. Their fries are hand cut, thin, and are so much better than frozen fries from a bag. We ordered the chicken quesadilla after seeing one come out of the kitchen. Crispy, cheesy, with big pieces of cubed chicken and it didn't disappoint. We initially ordered our wings with traditional Buffalo sauce but the people next to us told us to switch to their "Rondo" sauce which is described as "Sweet Heat" on the menu. Fantastic recommendation as this was one of the best wing sauces we've had. The wings were meaty and bigger than I typically prefer but they were cooked perfectly to my liking; crispy, easy to rip off the bone, moist and not dried out. These wings quickly climbed my list of some of my favorite wings in South Jersey. The pazotti bites were also enjoyable and reminded me of the pazotti balls I used to get at my college bar that everyone loved. I can't believe I had overlooked Ollie Gator's for so long. The atmosphere and food were all great for the style of venue, divey, which is exactly what we expected going in. They carried some decent local craft beers on tap which is always nice to see. The prices seemed fair, especially for the portion sizes. The bartender on shift held down the bar mostly by herself it seemed even with a full bar and tables. No complaints from me. We ordered a catered package for a family get -together of 10 (4 teens/6 adults) chicken tenders ( perfect), roast beef with gravy- ( our favorite), pasta with cheese stuffing and Caesar salad - would have liked a little more dressing). I had this spot bookmarked for just about six months. After returning from a trip to NOLA this past January, I was desperate for some creole cuisine once again. I finally made it here on Friday and can say this: If you'd like some Louisiana-inspired eats, this is a great spot! Disclosure: They unfortunately do not appear to sell gator. Sad. Moving on! It took some circling to find the place. My GPS got confused and took me past the Canals, but it's actually in the little shopping center behind it on Rt. 73. From the outside, it could use a nice upgrade, but once you're inside, it has all the feels you want from a divey, comfortable, lived-in pub. You can either sit by the bar, at a high-top, or in a separate dining room. Since I was with my mom, we chose the dining area. I loved the decor -- all the NOLA signs (sigh!) -- and our server was really friendly. She handled my mom's incessant questions rather well. They offer a bunch of great drink options, but it'd be even cooler if they could contract with Berlin Brewing in the future since it's only a few minutes drive away. For my visit, I chose a summer brew from Double Nickel. They seem to be everywhere these days! My mom chose a moscato. I finished it for her and it was really nice. Perfectly sweet! For my meal, I chose a combo dinner because I am 80, but also because it was an incredible deal. For $11.99, you get a soup or salad, platter, and dessert. I chose the chicken tender platter. It came with five pieces of crispy fried tenderloins that were so tasty. I just wish the honey mustard cup had been a bit larger. My mom had the same problem with her meal. She ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. While she loved it, they only gave her a tiny cup of gravy on the side, so she asked for several extras when it was time to box things up. I also felt like my salad was a standout. It was so colorful and flavorful. Most house salads don't seem to come with olives, but this one had both green and black! That made me so happy. My dessert was also pretty good, but not exceptional. I ordered the "Oreo creme" and had it to go. It was nice to indulge in later on. Ollie Gaters Pub isn't around the corner from me, but I did really enjoy my visit and will likely make a return visit to try more from their expansive, super affordable menu. read more

Had a nice meal here. I had Tuna Combo meal and tuna was cooked just right. Hubby had Hot Roast Beef Sandwich also good. Waitress was nice however only gave it 4 Stars because music was too loud. Eventhough I have lived in this town for almost 20 years, I have never been here before. So we tried it the other night and was pleasantly surprised. Walking it it totally has that dive bar cheers feel, like everyone there knows each other. But there's a dining area behind all that so don't be intimidated. We sat in the dining area. We ordered the crab fries, which have actual lump crab on them. They were really good. I could have easily eaten a bigger portion than what they serve. And then we shared the veggie pretzel bun burger. That was really tasty. Kinda like a patty melt but w a soft pretzel bun. The server was great and twice we got asked by what I'm assuming was a manager, if we were ok or needed anything so that was nice. Gonna have to try and go back soon. Great local pub with its usual crowd. Has great food that goes so far beyond regular bar food options. Sometimes we order from here for lunch or dinner at work. Ollie's is different than your regular bar in that it has a lot of seating for diners who come in for dinner whether you want seared sashimi tuna or their famous roast beef sandwiches and gator tails. I love this place! The food is fantastic. Standard pub fare with a "Louisiana" twist, but it's done well. The buffalo products (wings, bites, tenders) are great, with a spicy hot sauce and nicely cooked chicken. The chicken tenders are amazing. They're so crispy, thick, and juicy. Apparently hand cut and breaded on location. Onion rings, great, Mozzarella sticks, standard food service sticks but good, Fries are amazing, depending on who your cook is, you might think they're from Five Guys. A very pleasant surprise is the Root Beer on tap. It is some sort of specialty brand. If you like Root Beer, give it a try. I've lived in the area my entire life and my first visit to Ollie Gators was a couple weeks ago. Not sure why we've never stopped in but I definitely wish we had because I missed many years of good food! We received a bowl of popcorn upon sitting which was great because I skipped lunch that day. It was family night and they had a face painter/balloon animal twister to entertain the kiddos. My daughter requested an odd looking Olaf but she loved it all the same. We were skipping the drinks that evening but took a gander at their drinks menu which has tons of specials. Next time we'll skip family night, get a sitter, and take advantage of the great deals. Their menu is huge with a NOLA twist. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich which was perfectly crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I do wish it had lettuce, tomato, and/or onion and in that sense the sandwich was was rather plain. My husband and I visited for our first time a few days ago. The place was clean and our service was good. Their placements are funny! They bring a basket of popcorn to the table it was good. My husband practically inhaled it all. I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and fries. The fries were excellent! The sandwich was good as well. I appreciated that the meat was actually on the drier side because it kept the roll from getting soggy before I could even start eating. The au jus was great to add to the sandwich as I took each bite. My husband ordered the short rib Mac and cheese and this is unfortunately where they lost a star. I had debated ordering this for myself as well and I'm glad that I didn't. The short rib meat was decent. The Mac and cheese a seemed like it came from a box. It did not seem lIke homemade. It was really disappointing. My husband ate it as it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't particularly great. If we visit again when we are in the area we definitely wouldn't get the Mac and cheese. They have a large outside seating area in the parking lot and on their curb which is called "the side piece". I haven't eaten in the "side piece", but pick-up contactless curbside orders every Friday. Another great local business doing everything they can to keep us safe during the pandemic. Fun little bar/restaurant. They serve a small bowl of delicious popcorn with everything, whether you're sitting at the bar, or eating at a table. Above average beer selection. Bartender was good, but sitting down at a table to eat, service could have been a lot better. What I really like about this place, is that they guarantee that a manager will check in with you at some point during your visit. And they do just that. Every time I've been there an owner has checked with me to make sure everything was good. I like that personalization, it shows they really care about each customer. I held back from giving 5 stars because of the waitress we had sitting down to eat. She wasn't terrible, I mean, I've had WAY worse, but we had to track her down to order, track her down for refills, and track her down to get the check.
