Normally a friend and myself come here for lunch. At first we noticed that it's always dead at lunch time and there was a lot of waitresses and three managers on. Wow holy labor. Today we get our food and we look at our plates and they just look sad. My friend ordered a Swiss burger and fries. Her plate comes out with what looks like ten fries and the mushrooms are raw and hard. My food was ok, fries were skimpy and they had no cocktail sauce for the shrimp,instead some weird Russian mayo mixture. The one manager asks if my friend would like for her to saute the mushrooms. ???????Well yes that's the way they should of been cooked in the first place. Then we were told the Fry's had been weighed wrong. They did redo the mushrooms and gave us more Fry's and comped the one meal, but wow come on. Old food was stuck on our silverware and the menus we're sticky. You lost us as customers and lost our money.$11.00 for the burger meal and $12 something for the fish platter. read more

Terrible waste of time. Came in during the weeks. We were seated and the only ones in the restaurant for lunch time. Nobody ever came to our table to get drinks or anything. The hostess went to the kitchen or something so we never saw her again either. They can't be hurting too much during the Pandemic because they couldn't be bothered enough to even get a drink order. Stayed at a hotel in the same parking lot so we ate here twice because it was convenient. The Good-The Tables were cleaned after a person left and again as they were seating you! The Eeh-The waitstaff was ok, they didn't seem very friendly and attentive, but a smile really goes a long way, and these days smiles are covered up, so it was hard to tell if they cared or not. The Bad-The food was not great, my turkey club was cold, like they just took the meat out of the freezer and it was defrosting on my bread cold. Also, the food did not look yummy, no garnish, no powered sugar on top of French toast, it just looked like there is a pandemic and they are just slapping sub-par food on a plate and you will eat it and not complain b/c if you do you seem ungrateful.. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't a great experience either, I will just chalk it up to 2020 and would probably try the place again if I was back at the same hotel. read more

First thing in the door, the hostess was miserable. She asked how many people and sighed with disgust before she sat us, talking over her shoulder and walking away as she was telling us our waitress would be with us soon. My first comment was, "she hates her job." Our waitress was amazing and so kind and that was literally the only good thing about our experience. Very poorly managed. We sat for 30 minutes without anyone coming to the table. Then another 30 minutes before food arrived. Not once did we have drinks refilled or get checked on until we were wanting the check. That took a significant time as well. It was not busy but they must be very understaffed or something. I'm assuming there was a bunch of kids in here prior to us, because they're was syrup, ketchup and other condiments all over the condiment tray thing, and the floor looked disgusting also, but even if that was the case of kids or something being in there prior to us, it still didn't make sense since the waiter placed us there, and there were only like 6 other people inside. Went to IHOP tonight with my family & in-laws. Absolutely awful experience from having to wait over 5 minutes to be seated to waiting over an hour for our dinner & them bringing out the wrong food. When we were trying to figure out who got one of the dishes the waitress brought out, she was very disrespectful and rude my father in-law had, had enough and we ended up leaving. Had a horrible experience coming to IHOP. I checked in and was 5th in line on the waiting list. The lady at the front said it would be 20-30 minutes as they weren't too busy. My wife and I waited in our car for over an HOUR and just decided to leave. I try to give all IHOP locations a fresh start and give them a chance to redeem themselves but they all seem to be the same crappy restaurants with poor service. 1/10 don't recommend. read more

Went at NOON on a Sunday (12/2/18). Waited over an hour to get our food while people who came after us were served before us. Didn't get all our food correct the first time and when it was finally brought out, it was cold and burnt. They ended up not charging us because the waitress was horrified it took so long. This review is only for the IHOP in Watertown only. Very limited menu. Poor service. Did not have the normally expected condiments to accompany the food. Food arrived cold. By the time my meal came my husband was almost finished eating. When my food finally did arrive it was cold and was not as I had ordered it. When Watertown gets a new restaurant, it's the place to go for a month or two. There were high hopes for IHOP when it showed up. Unfortunately, the level of quality is lacking. When you enter a place that is dead, people should not be waiting for someone to seat them for five minutes. The food was ok at best, but I would not add cold tomato's and cheese to an omelette. Everything should be heated on the plate. Just throw it under the boiler for a min. The service was good. We might go back but not anytime soon. read more

This is perhaps the worst IHOP I've ever been to. We were visiting my mom and decided to take her here as it's new to Watertown. We got there and ordered and waited...and waited...and waited. It was 45 minutes before we began to think that perhaps we were being avoided. We finally asked the people next to us how long they waited. They waited an hour so we knew it was not just us. Our food finally came and my food was not warm but I was so hungry I had to eat something. My boyfriend (who also posted a review) had an undercooked country fried steak. When I complained the waitress was very stressed. We soon found out they were recovering from a massive rush. We were trying to be kind but also we were looking at a half empty restaurant. The manager (Wilbur) came out and spoke to us and we soon learned he was on his day off. He comped my meal and gave us 10% off. It's clear that they were trying to do more with less kitchen staff. To be clear, the service was not the problem. It was the kitchen staff. If you have that many people in seats you need to have staff to accommodate the amount of food to cook.
