Not certain why the bad reviews, but for us, service and food were excellent. Went for lunch as Texas Roadhouse was closed. Promptly greeted, sat, and friendly server got our drink orders, recommended various dishes, and answered all our questions. Lunch specials provide more value than fast food places. Food was delicious - pork chop, seafood chowder, burger, and Caesar salad. Would definitely come back when in town and hopefully people give them a second chance. Here for a quick lunch I decided for their ribeye. A flavorful cut of meat cooked perfectly. The waitress was attentive and quick. We have made several stops over the years and have not had a bad experience. I like their local tribute to Fort Drum and its namesake General Hugh Drum. read more

I have been going to Longhorn for a while. I thought they had the best steaks. Last night I order the Outlaw Ribey for take out. I got home to eat it and it was terrible. Recommended by my sister. I tried the porterhouse this time. First time when it was served it was over cooked. We reflected this and they made the adjustment. After a while they served the second one. The second one was better but still a bit overcooked. I like the spices on the steak and it tastes yummy except the fact overcooked. Never again. I went there for lunch at 11. When I walked in they were setting up for 11 people. Hostess asked the waitress that was going to be handling the 11 if she could handle one more. She said yes. I was seated. 11 hadn't shown up. Things started out fine then the 11 were seated. From that point on, I was completely ignored even tho the 11 were seated quite close to me. I was never offered a refill of my drink while I was eating. Took 20 minutes to get the bill. I was pissed! I come here on a fairly regular basis and have always had great food and great service. The dim lighting and numerous options on the menu make it a great date spot. They do get busy during dinner time, especially on weekends, so make a reservation or show up about 30 minutes early. It's worth that wait though. Where to begin? Salad-wilted lettuce, steaks ordered medium rare but were basically raw (blue), baked potato-cold and not cooked through. Sent it all back for re-fire. Came back better, so I dived in. Now, the steaks were so covered in pepper they were inedible- I mean all you tasted was the pepper! Gave up. Paid the bill and left. We ate a late lunch here today due to their Veteran's Day special. They were offering a free appetizer or dessert along with 10% off the total bill. We don't usually dine to much at chain restaurants, but had a very good meal and very good service this afternoon. We decided to go for the free appetizer and had the onion petals. Very good and not as greasy as other chains that offer them. Comes with a sauce with a kick. For the entrees I had the chicken tenders and the loaded mashed potatoes. Both were delicious. I was not super impressed. Went on a Friday night, so maybe that led to my problems, but hard to know for sure. My wife and I ordered the T-bones. My wife's was very tough and hard to cut. Neither one seemed to have much seasoning, something they "pride themselves on". My wife got asparagus as a side, but said it wasn't cooked properly and minimally seasoned. I got the corn on the cob side and it was...OK. Nothing special. The manager did comp our appetizer, and I thank her for that, but overall I didn't have a great experience. read more

my family and i had never been here before and it was a breath of fresh air since we had just experienced an awful dining situation elsewhere. the host was friendly and us right away at a nice booth. our server arrived at our table promptly and was super friendly and informative. our food was absolutely delicious. the parmesan crusted spinach dip was amazing, the ribs and steaks were perfect, and all the sides were fantastic, especially the baked sweet potato. on top of all this, the manager came out to welcome us. she explained how important customer service is to them and it showed throughout our visit. we will absolutely be returning! read more

1st time here. As we were seated, our waiter informed us of the wait time due to lack of staff and increase in customers for a Monday. Due to this we decided to order Appetizers. The Texas tonion and cheddar stuffed mushrooms were the best we've ever had! Each of this items came out quickly along with hot bread and side salad. Our entries were the salmon , Longhorn steak tips and the outlaw ribeye. Our side choice was fresh steamed asparagus!! Each one was as delicious! We could not of asked for a better dinner. What can I say- I'm impressed. One of the best steaks I've had. Cooked to perfection. Seasoned just the right amount. For once I didn't need to add pepper and salt or au jus. Also was nervous ordering bone in cause it's normally all bone - however this was the best portioned steaks I've seen in a very long time. Now the broccoli is BY FAR AMAZING. The Mac and cheese is normally great but it was cold unfortunately my husband said but his fries were good just not as seasoned as normal . The loaded mashed potatoes I got you could tell they were pre portioned cause they were hard on the outside sadly. But the toppings were the great amount. The old fashioned was great flavor however - TINY - not worth 10$ . The berry sangria was amazing except it was all ice and two swallows of drink - so wouldn't recommend based off that. The bread that is served is AMAZING except the server never asked if we wanted more - cause we defiantly would have. Our server was a nice lady - her service deserves a promotion or raise. Service was terrible. The waitress was un-attentive. we were ignored at the table for 30 mins. When we wanted to order the waitress said she couldn't take the order because she was going on break so she will notify the bartender. 5 minutes later the waitress was dealing with another table's check. It took a while before The bartender came over and asks us if we ordered, so, no communication whatsoever. The steak we ordered was cold. We sent it back to the kitchen so they can "warm it up" it came back exactly the same way. Not to mention we waited for 2 hrs before even getting our main course. After a long drive wanted something different than road food. Stopped at the Longhorn with a couple of friends as it was close by to our hotel. Nice mid-tier Went to the bar, crowded a little. The bartender had to service the actual bar, wait on the bar tables, and make the drinks for the rest of the restaurant. I hope she got a cut from everyone! Wanted something a little lighter, so I ordered a grilled chicken salad with bacon. All the cool greens, hot grilled chicken, plus beer really hit the spot! Lights are dimmed but not too low, so it's the perfect setting for an intimate dinner with family or friends. Staff was incredibly attentive. We sat at the bar and were attended to immediately by multiple people even though the place was at full capacity. Drinks were AMAZING, I had the margaritas and my husband had the mules. For dinner we shared the calamari (unbelievably delicious!), I had the steakhouse burger with cheddar (it was ok, just a plain burger but made as well as it could have for what it was). This would be a great option for picky eaters or children. The loaded baked potato was good as well. My husband had the filet mignon which he said was like butter, and our salads came out late so the manager comped our meal which we would have been more than happy to have paid for!! My husbands steak was rare and he ordered a medium rare so i asked for the manager to return our entrees. The manager never apologized instead She gave my husband a lesson on how he should order his steak next time. He's ordered it the same way before in other restaurants INCLUDING long horn and we've never had an issue until we ordered at this location. I ordered the chicken tenders with the steakhouse(?) mac and cheese featuring bacon. Not something you can eat on a regular basis, but that's what eating out is for. The steak frites was a big hit at our table. The broccoli asiago soup was delicious but too big too finish. The Caesar salads were good. All of the meat was tender. Shame on you LongHorn Steakhouse. It's never been my favorite restaurant. Not because of bad food or bad service but because I'm not a big stick eater. Lately we've gone there and not only was the food bad but the service was terrible. Tonight we went and we both ordered steak tips for dinner with a side, a garden salad, and Tim ordered a bowl of French onion soup as an appetizer. Our waitress brought our drinks. Never brought bread which is fine. Never brought the soup. Brought our salads about 20 minutes later and our meals at the same time. I ordered no onions with my tips. It was loaded with onions. I had it sent back and when it was returned to me you can tell it was obviously the same dish I had sent in only the onions were picked out or scraped out of the symbol. My husband asked about his soup and stated he no longer wanted it. The waitress sent a manager over to our table. The manager did not seem to care. He brought the soup even though we said we didn't want it. I picked onions out of my steak tips right in front of him. I said appetizers should come first around the time the sale has come. Not all the food at the same time. Hey made excuses about why the tips were done so quickly, which was not fast, everything else was just slow. It is what it is. But shame on you longhorns for returning a plate back to the customer that had already been at the table once and not remaking the mail. I believe that is a health code violation. BLUF- this restaurant has great food and nice employees, I would stress the bird problem but I dont have a solution so I cant say too much. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and my expectations were exceeded in terms of food quality and portion sizes - which I thought were large enough. Upon walking up to the entrance I noticed that this restaurant has an issue with birds hanging out and probably nesting underneath their wooden portico. You can probably guess what problem this created on the ground and on their door as well... Nevertheless, I entered and immediately washed my hands before sitting to order. This location is very aware of social distancing; The hostess led me to the bar. My bartender was very nice and personable. I wasn't really in the mood for drinks and they didnt try to push them too hard - I liked this. My food was tasty but overall there was way too much salt on everything I ordered, but I could tell underneath all of the sodium was great tasting food. I will be returning, remember to tell them to go easy on the salt no matter what you order. read more

Went here for Valentine's Day. I must say I was not disappointed at all. I got the Ribeye cooked medium rare with a side of lobster tail. It was potentially one of the best steaks I have ever had. My only big complaint was they mis cooked my wife's steak and make it medium rare as well. She cannot have that because she is pregnant.
