I would not recommend working with TruBlue…read more We hired them to build a single wall, install French doors, and move a light switch. At first, our experience was great. Wendy, the general contractor, was prompt in communication, provided a detailed quote, and scheduled the project quickly. However, once work began, it went downhill. Their crew was supposed to start work Monday morning. They texted Sunday night and said someone called out and asked if they could start Tuesday. No problem, things happen. I was in a meeting Monday afternoon and got a call from them asking if they could come right then. I had to rearrange the rest of my day to accommodate them but did. They showed up and only stayed for two hours. They asked if they could start at 8 am each day and we said yes, they could come as early as they would like. They did not show up at 8 am on any day, but rather closer to 10 am. The project was supposed to take at most, 4 days. Instead, it took 8. They blamed this on us, for making changes throughout the project. However, those changes were minor (like changing our minds on the door knobs for the French doors, and providing new ones, before they had even installed them) and I explicitly asked if any of those changes were going to hold up the process. They said no. They initially built the wall and it was crooked. We asked them to fix it and they tried, but it was still very warped. The mud was applied unevenly and not sanded well. They applied paint anyway. We had to ask them to redo this. They did and the wall is now straight, but the mud and paint overtop are still uneven. They installed trim poorly and unevenly, leaving rough edges and gaps. They did not patch the holes that the nail gun left or paint the trim. We are now stuck doing this. They moved the electrical switch to the incorrect place on the wall, despite me marking exactly where we wanted it and confirming placement with them in-person beforehand. Now it's too late to fix that. They didn't lay proper protection down on our floors and they were coated in white from dust and splattered paint. They said not to worry and they would scrub them. They didn't. We are left trying to remove debris from the hardwood floor cracks that is proving difficult to get fully clean. Most importantly, they re-wired the electrical incorrectly. Our switches don't work properly, or at all sometimes. We've gotten several quotes from other electrical contractors and they've all agreed -- This was a botched job. We are now looking at spending $4,000 to fix their mistakes. After all of this, we just wanted Wendy and her team out of our home so we wrote them a check to be done with it. Wendy never followed up on the quality issue updates. With us, after initial consult, their team's communication was poor and the quality of work/craftsmanship was very much lacking.

I am absolutely thrilled with TruBlue of Union County. They sent Tom and Tyrek to install a shower…read moredoor on our bathtub last year and I just had Lucas install a screen door. They did a superb job! All of their technicians are very polite, professional and knowledgeable! Their employees are perfectionists. They truly went the extra mile to make sure everything fits perfectly, works perfectly; and to make sure customers are 100 percent satisfied with their work. I highly recommend TruBlue of Union County for all of your home improvement and maintenance needs.

My project is just starting, so this rating could be premature, but likely will not go above 3…read morestars. Kitchen Tune Up in Charlotte becomes very slow to respond - if they respond at all after you pay a deposit. Make sure to get your contract itemized before you sign it or every nut, bolt, caulk, glue stick, will become an additional cost. It became obvious as to why they did not itemize - to hide costs. They will call items ancillary and want to charge you extra the second the contract is signed. Also, painting, they didn't include painting with a full renovation. I was supposed to sort that on my own.

Very expensive and work took months and months...they gave us a quote for countertops that when we…read moreagreed to came in at double due to their salesman measuring incorrectly. Their response was oops....and to blame it on the granite company...we were left with trying to find our own granite supplier or pay double in the middle of the project with a torn apart kitchen...Salesperson was unaware of company offerings...we were told they did not offer pull outs for existing cabinets but the foreman told us they did..Our custom island came in incorrectly and we had to wait forever to have it corrected...we had a good foreman Danny but he left mid project. At the end we just paid the balance even though the last of the work was left unfinished just to get them out of our house. The office always has an excuse as to why you are not contacted or notified about things...It looks pretty but was an expensive, long and painful process.

WoW!! thank you to Knot Yet Cabinet Works for transforming our home with our new dream kitchen…read more An "Exceptional" overall experience. Starting with our initial meeting with Hannah, she was instrumental in taking our ideas and inspiration photos and using it to design our Kitchen. Thanks to all the hard-working professionals at the shop that build and painted our cabinets to our exact specifications. Have to give special acknowledgement to say thank you Charley who created (by hand) our custom range hood and stained it perfectly to match our wood floors. From day one of installation, Roger, Anthony were true professionals, they took their time to install and adjust each cabinet and doors to ensure a perfect fit. I also want to recognize Hank for his outstanding customer service and making minor changes on the job site at our home to address our all our cabinet concerns. I cannot say enough about how professional the entire, Knot Yet Cabinet crew has been during the cabinet installation process. They are all true professionals; the craftsmanship of these custom cabinets was well beyond my expectations. Absolutely love working with this company from beginning to end, their attention -to-detail and flexibility to design custom pieces truly set this company apart from other cabinet installers. If you're considering cabinet replacements, I would highly recommend, go visit Knot Yet Cabinet Works in Rock Hill. You would be happy you did like I am.
