Long overdue review! Dr. Ikeda and his staff are amazing! I did not have a great previous experience with a different chiropractor so came across Dr. Ikeda and sooo happy I did. He really takes his time with each patient and gives them the care needed! I got in a bad rear end car accident and stopped going to the chiropractor after going for 2 months. But then, flare ups arose and I had a lot of neck, shoulder, and back pain again. After playing Xbox with my noggin propped up on a futon, I started experiencing tingling, numbness, and weakness on the left side of my body (from head to toe). First thought, "Uh oh, not a stroke!" Quick internet search diagnosed a compressed nerve - whew! So, made an appointment with Dr Ikeda and gave him the lowdown. Funny thing, he experienced the SAME thing as me, while doing the SAME thing as me! Xrays confirmed C6C7 issues, as well as, a cervical spine that was curved left - hence, the left side numbness and tingling. I was at about 30-40% two weeks ago and thought I was gonna die. Fast forward to present day and I'm about 99% (slight numbness in upper left lip is all that lingers). Thanks to Dr Ikeda's treatment (electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and adjustment) I can return to RDR2 sans the futon! PS I had complete confidence and trust in Dr Ikeda after my initial visit and his caring calmness made me a believer. This coming from someone who has NEVER been to a Chiropractor. Dr Ikeda is very honest and professional. He explained throughly about my issue and warned me it's not a one-time fix up front. I see him twice a week for about a few weeks, now my pain is almost gone. Even so, I will still see him regularly to maintain my spine. After a day of hiking I couldn't move my neck and came here on the recommendation of a friend. They got me in the same day, did set set of x-rays and immediately got me adjusted. They worked with my Kaiser insurance, are incredibly kind and didn't try to get me to commit to some kind of never ending chiropractic plan for the future. Although, the treatments have made such a difference and the doctor and office manager are so kind that I do come monthly (my choice) and for the first time EVER know exactly what to do when my neck starts to act up, though since coming monthly I have had almost no pain and before I had *chronic* knots in my upper back and neck and low level pain most days. Once in a while I have lower back pain and can barely walk, after 3-6 treatments with Dr. Ikeda I am basically walking normal again. Each treatment is 7-10 minutes of Ultrasound Therapy to healed injured tissue and help decreasing the pain. Next a few minutes of adjustments to back are made to relieve pressure. read more

I had never been completely satisfied with any particular Dr. A month ago my pain was so severe, I decided to give chiropractic another try. Called my insurance and was given a long list of drs,. When I looked up Dr. Cliff Ikedas outstanding yelp reviews, I decided to see him. I am so thankful I did! My experience has been that the chiropractors who accept insurance, are not very good. I can honestly say that Dr Ikeda is the exception! The whole Ikeda staff is super friendly, efficient and accommodating. Carrie the receptionist is funny, kind and great at her job! She and Dr. Ikeda make a great team! I never have to wait when I arrive, as she schedules his pts like a well oiled machine. Very impressive! Patients In and out all day. They even have late evening appointments. So convienient! The most important part is that Dr Ikeda is awesome and relieves my pain! I agree with all the other yelpers that he has amazing hands! On my first visit, my pain was 10+. He did X-rays, showed me immediately where the problem was and treatment began. He used therapeutic ultrasound, shock therapy (I think that's what it's called!)! And massaged bio freeze over my shoulder( my favorite part! ). He explains everything so there are no surprises. His adjustments on my neck, back and hips are like magic. He does it so easily and effortlessly, as I hear all the cracking of my misaligned bones moving back into place. I started going to Dr. Ikeda because I was in a car accident one rainy afternoon. But I had been heard of him from my mom, who had been raving about how he had worked wonders on her back. He took x-rays on my first visit and assessed my pain. I told him that I also suffer from headaches and migraines and he started adjusting my neck and back to help limit my pain. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed from my visits, I almost feel like a new woman! A visit consists of optional time in the massage chair, isotherapy on the injured spot, light massaging on specifics spots if you need it, adjustments of neck and back, and some stretching. My favorite is when Dr. Ikeda cracks my neck, it seems to release all this pressure that has been building up from the week. The adjustments do help if you suffer from bad headaches. And if you read my review and your still not convinced to go see him, let me tell you a little story. My mom was working out at home. She's retired and no one else was home. She did a little yoga and then tried to get up, but she threw out her back. She crawled to her cellphone and called up Dr. He finished with his patient and came right over and took my mom back to the office. He worked on near everyday until she could walk normally again. I Yelp this chiropractor and saw that he had great reviews. After being treated by another physical therapist and still having pain after 1 month, I decided to treat with Dr. Ikeda. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding my complaints. I was impressed in the equipment he used to battery test my pain and what method of treatment to pursue. I treated with him for four months and after I was released from treatment I had very minimal pain. One month after I was released I assume the muscles after the treatment and tendons relaxed themselves and I am now four months post treatment from Dr. Ikeda and I feel no pain. I know many people have many opinions about chiropractors, and I have seen enough chiropractors in my lifespan. I made 24 visits to get spinal adjustments from April to October, 2010 after a car accident on 4/2/2010. The office is located in Torrance, along Crenshaw Blvd., little south of Artesia Blvd. Dr. Cliff Ikeda took some X-ray shots on my first visit and showed the X-rays to me right away. My neck bones were crooked to the left in the middle and my shoulder bones were distorned on both sides. May be because the impact was from the right side at the car accident. He has been in the practice for 12 years as of December 2010, and it's been 8 years since he moved his chiropractic office to Torrance. It was my first chiropractic experience. Twisting neck bones and the spinal, so called "adjustments" were pretty amazing at first. The pain and tingling on my neck, shoulders, and lower back reduced very much on the 3rd or 4th visit. He was very nice and pleasant every time I visited. I will definitely recommend him to any one who needs Chiropractic consultation and or treatments. Dr Ikeda saved my life! I've suffered from sciatica due to my recent move. It reached the point which I couldn't take the pain anymore. I saw an orthopedician and tried physical therapy, trigger point therapy, shiatsu, stretching and exercise. Nothing helped to cure it completely. I was scared of chiropractic treatment but I decided to give a try as a last resort. After 3 sessions, the pain lessened drastically and after 5 sessions, I could play tennis! I had never been to a chiropractor before Dr Ikeda, so I can't compare, but the fact that i haven't had to go to one since him says a lot. I suffered from sciatica off and on for about 5 years. After PT and medications really did not relieve the pain and recurrence of my sciatica despite being really on top of my exercises and stretching I finally decided to give Chiro a try. Within a week of seeing Dr Ikeda I was feeling significantly better and after about 6-8 months of seeing him on a regular basis (at first 2 times a week and then after a while it went down to 1 time per month) I haven't had any sciatica pain. Not only is he a great dr but he also is just a really nice person. His office staff are very friendly and laid back. I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes even when I arrive early for an apt, and when you are next up you get to sit in the massage chair while you wait. His office isn't fancy, don't expect a gorgeous setting, but they accept my insurance and do a great job so I don't mind if they don't have a gorgeous office with fountains and posh furniture. read more

I love his alternative treatments (i.e. Biofreeze, shock therapy, etc.) added to the adjustments. He also adjusts kids which is a huge plus since my older son Brady enjoys his adjustments too. I've sought the help of many chiropractors over the last few decades with most, addressing only a single location of problem. Amazing service and great doctor!!!! I am very happy to meet Doctor Ikeda. I was looking for a good chiropracter nearby my office and this is a great place! It is kinda hard to find but it is not so hard to find it too. First of all, I just walked into this place since I have no idea how it is going to be. But you need to make a reservation to see a doctor. The receptionist asked me if I have an appointment and I said No. She said the doctor can see me if I come back at 7:15. She was very generous and helpful. So I came back to this place and doctor Ikeda took a look my back. He asked me a couple of questions and he explained to me what is wrong and what i have to do. Been seen Dr. Ikeda for 2 weeks now for my lower back and have been very happy. This is the first time I've been to a chiropractor, so I didn't know what to expect and he thoroughly answered all my questions and shares his own experiences with me. Dr Ikeda is the only chiropractor I have ever been to so I cannot compare him to any other. But before I go any further I have to let you know that i have always been very skeptical about chiropractors in general. I started to see Dr. Ikeda last year because i had some awful back pain that wouldn't go away. On my first visit they took some xrays...blood pressue and general medical check ups. He did do a adjustment on my and also commented that my left hip was higher than the other at that time. After my first visit i did feel alot better. A couple of months later when i started to squat with a wider stance i noticed that i would get some pain on my left thigh. At first i thought it was because i was not used to the stance and also the weight but on my next session squatting i got the same pain. So after a lot of foam rolling and cursing i saw Dr Ikeda and explained to him what was going on and he explained to me why i was getting the pain with the wider stance. He then proceeded to do an adjustment on my hip and I am not going to lie on my next squat session guess what no pain and it has not come back. After that i have seen him a couple of times. I love Cliff and his staff. They are always super great and very accommodating when I need to make changes to my appointment. I have been coming to this office for about 2 years.. first when I threw out my back and was miserable. And all the doctors wanted to do was throw pain killers and muscle relaxers at me.
