I'm so happy to have found Dr. Yajima! I used to go to another chiropractic in Torrance but after 4 or 5 months, I felt like I was just another number and I felt pressured to keep buying more weekly sessions even though I was feeling much better. They didn't take my insurance so paying out of pocket became very expensive. The treatments I got were good but it really did feel like a machine and I was just part of the rotation with everyone else. I have been visiting Dr Yajima for at least 4 years now. At first it was to help me with a back issue and now I see him for a monthly adjustment. He does a wonderful job keeping me pain free. If I skip a month my back does get sore. I have had a bad back for over 30 yrs now. I used to wonder if seeing a chiropractor actually did anything or if the pain would have eventually went away in its own. After having regular adjustments I definitely feel (at least for me) they are needed. Dr. Yajima is absolutely the best! I got a massive pain on my neck and shoulders all of a sudden and could barely move my upper body the other day. I went straight to his office and found out it was a really bad "torticolis" : a crick in the neck. I was surprised and scared because I usually did not feel any tension on my neck or shoulders but he told me That's the problem- I was just insensitive to pain or tiredness but my body was totally exhausted. It was so easy to get in to see him (had availability on Saturday which was very important to me) and his staff was so courteous. Dr. Yajima and his staff are attentive to details, helpful, and friendly. I have seen other chiropractors before, and I just stayed with this office for the better results. My overall experience with them has been "Whoa! Nice." I appreciate that the doctor is respectful of my other health conditions, which may have made it that much more difficult to provide me with chiropractic care. He was sensitive to what I am comfortable with and what I am not. He went with my flow and just help me get better. I also greatly appreciate that I was never once bothered by being sold extra "out of the scope" services or products, like I was at another place. (No snake oil here, people!) This office just sticks to what you go in for and address what needs to be done. I also didn't get any annoying spammy calls like my husband did with another place when he took a pause/stopped treatment. This office called only when they have asked for my permission to receive "A" reminder call and "A" voicemail. (Singular! Not plural!) Oh yeah, and the Dr. is probably one of the best "smooth small talks maker"... ah, I really don't know how else to describe this ability but I find it important to mention. (Hey! This ability is important!! You know how long it feels when you are facing down, getting adjusted/massaged and the silence/conversation got awkward? Yeah, that didn't happen here.) It's actually pretty amazing when I think about it... It was almost like he knows when people don't feel like chatting. He just allows the comfort of silence to sit in. I have a pretty bad neck injury and was experiencing a lot of pain in my neck and down my left arm. It was really hard for me to sleep and go throughout the day without feeling miserable. During my first consultation with Dr. Yajima I noticed that he asked many questions and was writing everything down that was being discussed. Just the note taking itself gave me a sense of comfort knowing that he is tracking my status. I would meet with Dr. Yajima twice a week and every meeting would start off with an update of what my activities were during the week, location of my pain, my pain level, and so on. Every meeting he would adjust his treatment depending on how I felt. He would also give me stretches and exercises that I could do at home to better manage my pain when I don't see him. I can honestly say that after seeing Dr. Yajima I feel much better than I did when I first saw him. I first started seeing him twice a week but now it's been tapered off to a one month basis. He has given me a better understanding of my body and how to manage my pain. This is much better than having to go to surgery! First of all, Dr. Yajima diagnosed all the symptoms I had had and figured out what kinds of treatments I should get. Within a month, I was back to normal or I would say even better than before. Dr Yakima is a professional. You'll get an immediate feeling that your in good hands, the place is super clean, not big but very personal and you know you're with a team that pays attention to detail. Dr Yakima is super friendly and it's not a hard sell like a lot of other chiros. You'll get placed in a room after reviewing your issues and he will crack and do some stim and work with a chiro blade to really focus the pain. I was in so much pain at the beginning, and after 1-2 sessions I now swear by chiropractors. You realize a lot of your pain is because of displaced posture, in my case in my upper back, and after getting things to set back how they need to sit, your pain will slowly go away. You'll need multiple sessions to really get things to work again depending on your pain but youll probably get a mix of some cracks (basics not the y strap or anything crazy), stim, and some mobility exercises. Quick sessions, on a rotation basis. Highly recommend this clean and local establishment. read more

Dr. Yajima, I love you! I have been to a few chiropractors in the past..none compare to Dr. Yajima. He is VERY thorough. He listens. He asks questions. He informs. He lets you ask questions. Not only does he give great adjustments, he has MANY other procedures and techniques that he uses. AND the way he adjusts my neck, it's not the scary way that some chiropractors do...where it feels like they're going to break your neck. It's more gentle and just as effective. I recently took my girlfriend's 80 year old grandmother to visit. She has had back and hip pain for close to 50 years. After her first visit with Dr. Yajima, she was hooked. Not surprised in the least to see that this doctor already has a five star rating. I phoned right at closing time on a Friday and asked if I could come in the next day. Despite having a full schedule already, Dr. Yajima offered to stay past his usual closing time on Saturday to have a look at me after I explained that I was in extreme pain. I have seen many doctors and received all sorts of scans and tests over the last decade after having a recurring problem with my leg that caused extreme pain. I went in to see Dr. Yajima and he quickly figured out what I was suffering from and treated me. I went in there unable to walk and after only two sessions over three or four days, I was able to move freely and feel better than I have in almost a decade. Dr. Yajima is a true professional and a caring and talented chiropractor. I have two ruptured spinal disks and a tail bone injury. I also have rotator cuff issues. Much of this is due to sports and martial arts injuries when I was younger. Dr. Yajima was able to get me out of pain in times of severe flare ups and keeps my injuries maintained so that I am relatively pain free and can go about my daily activities normally. Today, I put in long hours at work, go to yoga class, lift weights, go on rigorous hikes in the mountains and I am slowly getting back into the martial arts. Now that I am in my late 50's, of course I have to make adjustments for age and I need to train differently. Nevertheless, I am back in the game due in large part to Dr. Yajima's care.
