Definitely took him to the wrong place because they do not know how to do children's hair and I question whether they are even capable of doing corn rolls. He was screaming in pain the entire time and the corn rolls came out absolutely horrible. Worst job I've ever seen. They blamed it on him being so young. I explained twice that he got his hair done by an amateur almost a year ago not only did it turn out good but he didn't make a sound. That was met with looks of disbelief like I was lying to them. The whole situation was uncomfortable and frankly strange. It turned out so bad that they just told me to "pay what I could ". When I made the appointment she said it would cost 50-80 dollars, no more than 80. The receptionist asked me how much I wanted to pay, I said 80 and she gave me a look like "that's it". It was way more than they deserved and certainly more than the results we got. I really hope they do a better job on adults but when it comes to kids they don't know what they are doing. Do not go to this place especially if you have kids. The first picture was taken after my coworker did his hair with zero crying almost a year ago. The next 2 pictures were taken after getting them done "professionally " by them.

The salon very much reminds me of the old-school salons, full of laughter great debates interesting conversation community involvement and a genuine compassion for black women's health and well-being. Unlike other natural hairstylists who view your hair as a problem in need of management, Renée is invested in the health and beauty of your hair in its natural state. I scheduled a 2:00pm appointment two days in advance. I arrived only for them to be back-up with customers and 4 people ahead of me. After 3 hours of waiting, I finally got in the chair. The hairstylist took another 3 hours just to put the hair color in my hair. My flexi rod curls were completed by the hair stylist's assistant (who by the way did a wonderful job). Sadly we did not leave the salon until a few minutes after 10:00pm. I was in this salon from 2:00pm to 10:15pm. My entire day was spent in this salon. My plans to have dinner and catch a movie with friends were cancelled. I will never recommend this salon to any of my friends or associates and I will never step foot in this salon ever, again.

I have always been taken care by him when it comes to appointments. The first time he saw me, I had not had a relaxer in over three months and my hair was a mess. He had to cut it really short but over the years and going to him every two weeks or every month has made my hair very healthy.
