I dined here with two others yesterday evening after reading raving reviews, so we all went in with high expectations. I am completely perplexed that this restaurant could muster up more than two stars. It is a huge restaurant with a wide open space, a row of booths on either side & a few tables along with kid's tables in between the booths. I like a good hole in the wall restaurant, but this place was something else with zero ambiance. It did not feel like the A/C was on so it was pretty stuffy in there. I regret not taking a picture of the dining area because my description does not do it justice. There was only one man working who did everything & he was polite. The food was flavorless, the fettuccine was very runny/watery, & the slices did not even look appetizing. On top of the lackluster food, the price point was high with pasta starting at $14.00. Overall, I do not recommend & I would not want to try again. read more

Born and raised in NJ so I know a thing or 2 about pizza. If you want authentic NY pizza this is your place. Thin sliced, easily folds. The man even makes his own mozzarella. You can order by the slice and all the different options are presented behind a counter, just like back home. Sound like you know what you're doing and order "a plain slice" or a margarita slice for true NY flavor. read more

My daughter and I were in town for a basketball tournament. Had some time before the game, so we decided to find a place to eat. Pizza sounded good, so we headed on over. We were a little hesitant bc it's a small place in an older shopping center, but decided to go for it. We couldn't have been happier! The pizza is just amazing. Thin and crispy crust. Great toppings. Giving them the benefit of the doubt because it was the end of the day. I hate being that customer but I was looking for authentic NY Style pizza to try tonight and this place was the last one open past 9... supposedly. Looking on Yelp now, I see the hours here are posted til 9pm. On Apple, and Google the hours say til 10. My buddy and I arrived at 9:15 to an extremely dark strip mall. the grumpy dude wouldn't answer the door til after I called the place. Again I'll give him benefit of the doubt cause it was past close at this point against my knowledge. I get home we had ordered a 4 cheese pizza with light sauce. The 4 cheese is not listed to have fresh basil yet ours came with it which wouldn't have been an issue if there wasn't a hair in it. And I don't know about yall but this does NOT look like light sauce or 4 cheese. I'm giving it 2 stars cause I haven't actually tried the pizza yet (it needed to be reheated by the way it felt like it had been sitting out for 2 hrs) and it might actually be good but I'm gonna need some strong convincing to want to to come back here. read more

I have to say if you want real New York style pizza then this is the place. I heard about the place a week ago and I had to try it. I am giving this place two stars because one they said the pizza would be ready in 35 mins which turned into almost two hours. Two the chef yelled at my mother for asking when it would be ready after waiting for the first hour. Yes the pizza was good but certainly not worth the wait. The crust reminds me of Focaccia bread, crunchy and topped with cheese first and then finished with the most amazing marinara I've ever had. Small, hole-in-the-wall pizza place. This is not a sit-down restaurant, it has a few places to sit, but mainly a take out joint. Regardless, THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! We shared several different pizza slices, a stuffed slice, and a spinach roll, all were wonderful and flavorful. The owner is running the kitchen, he is hard working and super friendly. Real New York style pizza made with very professional attention to quality. Sauce! Mozzarella! Thin crust! The owner has been slinging pizza since age 14 ...30 years now...and paid close attention to his his craft. Lucky us, he's brought his gift South. Mostly a take out place, but there are 3 small tables where my family sat and watched the staff work the Saturday night rush and chatted up the owner.
