Definitely make reservations here. It's off the beaten path, away from the intolerable crowds in the city. It's delicious food made by people who clearly care. If they are still serving it, the "sushi del trippaio" is wonderful. Take my word for it. :-) Also, the trippy alla fiorentina.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me. Took a stroll around the neighborhood in Florence & walked into this gem. It was most definitely worth it. Many people shy away from "peasant food" when visiting other countries, but I think the best way to experience the local flavor is to really embrace the home style comfort foods. Tripe is one of those examples. Ignore your fears, it's delicious when prepared well and this place was above and beyond on the delicious scale.

Not quite what I expected. This restaurant is very casual from the décor to the servers. The server's are very casual in their regular plain clothes and they don't have the warmest dispositions. My gnocchi was delicious but nothing that I would recommend or go back for especially when you're in Italy to have an experience. The wine I ordered by the glass and wast impressed either. Again nothing special.

This is a tourist city. Because of this many of the restaurants service poor food at best. This restaurant clearly prepares all the dishes from scratch. The menu is small and only written in Italian. If you like well prepared dishes then try it out.

Typical afternoon. We were the only tourists here!

Excellent meal, our first in Florence. Not a big place, seems to be frequented by locals. Superb pasta, even for someone like me, who doesn't like pasta. Excellent wines, quite affordable. Outstanding service, with owner being on top of things at all times. Highly recommended!

Rude staff. The place was tiny and a staff scolded us for keeping the door open when we walked in. Popularity has clouded over their heads.

The charcuterie board was big enough to share with 3 but also depends of how much you eat. lol portions tend to be smaller in Italy. However, the sandwich was a nice size. All the cold cuts were fresh and taste was another level. A nice list of wine selection as well.

The staff was knowledgeable on all the different meats and cheeses available and were able to make recommendations based on what you prefer. We ordered a beautiful looking cheeseboard that had a variety of different hard cheeses along with different meats. The presentation was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the entire thing. It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. From a price point perspective, it wasn't too bad, especially if you're swinging in for a snack and a quick glass of wine or a beer.

They made space for our party of 5 right in the center of a loud and and lively main dining room... where the energy and spark was so contagious. Just a marvelous setting for a night in Florence. Prepared dishes were family style. Every single choice was tasty good. The bread and bottles of Brunelo Montalcinos kept the conversation going. Florentine steak was not dry and forgettable. It went well with other pasta dishes like the Tagliatelle Con Ragù Di Coniglio or the Osso bucco, Pappardelle Al Ragù Di Cinghiale . . . of course with the Brunello & Chiati Classico The dining that night felt intimate yet party-like with nary a wiggle room. You don't get that often in the U.S. We never ever felt rushed despite the wait crowd out the door. Manager there was especially accomodating to us tourists. My 5 star rating has a lot to do with their boundless can-do spirit. A country house vibe rustic food with an outsized Italian howdy y'all. We will be back
