We went here for dinner while in Florence and had an amazing dinner! We had the Ragu, the florentine steak, and the grilled vegetables for our dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious and amazing! The steak was amazing and a must try if you are in Florence!! Both panna cottas we had were delicious as well! We both loved everything we ate here and would highly recommend this restaurant!

Believe the hype. And trust me, I was incredibly doubtful at first, afraid it would be overrated given the absolute fandom around this being one of Stanley Tucci's go-to. On top of the pain of securing a reservation (they only take these over the phone; no online system), the only slot I could secure even as a solo diner was as soon as they opened, at 6pm, and via a bar seat. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by several of the staff, all warm/kind. One of them offered me a table, even though I humbly mentioned I'd be fine with whatever was convenient to them. I looked around and saw what seemed to be majority American tourists so I had very standard expectations. Well, what commenced...my god. I'm getting chills now thinking about the entire experience. Just the absolute perfect dinner my first night in Florence. Everything on the menu looked fantastic and I was even tempted to order 2 Primi (pastas) but my server discouraged it, said they were quite large. Instead she guided towards the "must" appetizer, the "onion flan with pecorino cheese and truffle" followed by their signature pasta, "pappardelle with wild boar ragù" The appetizer literally brought me to tears as soon as I took a bite. I didn't think I liked truffle but this was life-changing. And the pasta was served piping hot and also to die for. I complemented the meal with a delicious glass of white and red and ended with the utterly divine tiramisu. I will be dreaming about this meal for years to come. So epic.

The Renaissance continues in Florence and their canvas includes fantastic food, professional, entertaining and informative service and the ambiance is pure steeped in history and still creating very special meals. We had been looking at art and visiting churches and museums all day and you can arrive hungry. It is well known for its meat. The desert cart makes it past you during your time to tempt you with even more. We were given aprons to cover our unbuckled belts.

Man this place was something else and If I could eat here every date night I would but unfortunately over 6,00 miles is stopping me. The steak was out of this world delicious and probably one of the best steaks I've had. Be open minded and go with the recommendation of having it rare. The pappardelle was also very good and enjoyed every bite of it. The service was top notch with no complaints, our server was very helpful. The space is small but that's the whole experience of being in such a beautiful old city.

I had heard about this restaurant from various online Italy forums so made a reservation via email (though they normally like phone calls). They asked that I reconfirm closer to the date so I did and all worked out. After viewing a beautiful sunset over the Arno River, we arrived to a long line to get in, but we quickly got a nice table in the back room with the resie. The interior was cute with several boar carvings on the walls. Husband ordered osso bucco, which he devoured. I had the wild boar parpadelle, which was delicious, probably my best meal in Italy. We ordered a nice bottle of Chianti and had a delicious pannacotta with berries for dessert. Husband also had a grappa. Total bill was $115 USD. Service was pleasant, we chatted with the granddaughter of the owner who was working part time while attending university. They didn't rush us out and it was a perfect ending to our last meal in Florence.

It's almost impossible to choose only 3 dinner spots in Florence with so many good options available but I am SO glad this is one of the places we decided on. Between Reddit, Stanley Tucci and personal recommendations from friends this one felt like a no brainer. We had a 7:30 reservation for Wednesday evening and upon arrival and check in there were two lines. One for people waiting for a table with no reservation and one for people waiting for their table with a reservation. We arrived on time and were seated after about a 15 minute wait. The ambiance of the restaurant is super warm and cozy and the service was attentive. For dinner we ordered 3 different pastas to share. I really appreciated that they split each pasta for us before bringing them out. I know that they are know for their cinghiale pappardelle but our favorite pasta was the Chitarra Pomodoro with burrata. It was simple and perfect and I wish I was eating it right now. Tiramisu was great as well if you are a dessert person but I honestly could have also just gone for a fourth pasta. For sure make a reservation in advance and definitely prioritize this restaurant if you are visiting from out of town.

It's been about 10 years since our first visit and though I wondered if we should try different in new places, I'm so glad that we decided to come back. It's an intimate restaurant, but with such cozy and comforting food and surprisingly reasonably priced. The suckling pig was fantastic in one of the best I've ever had. It really teamed with porky goodness. We loved it. I'm so glad we came back and look forward to our next visit.

Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco located near the Ponte Vecchio. I had to try this since Stanley Tucci revealed this was one of his favorites in Florence. You need to make reservations, I tried calling and gave up and went to the restaurant to make reservations in person. Ordered the boar ragu ( a little too salty for me), bistecca, onion tart, truffle pasta. All of the entrees were delicious. Ended the meal with the tiramisu - absolutely one of the highlights of the meal. Service was very prompt - the restaurant was very crowded and I met some lovely people at the tables next to mine. A great dining experience- I look forward to returning!

Made a reservation during our visit to Florence. A cool, cozy but bustling restaurant in a historic building. We made reservations and were seated right away. The bread was delicious and went with everything we ordered. We started with grilled artichokes that were amazing. We went with trying the dishes with the restaurants trademark boar in them - pappardelle with boar ragu and wild boar polenta. Both delicious. We split a half carafe of the house red wine. An amazing and delicious evening in Florence. Highly recommend.

This was our first meal in Florence during a 3-night stay, and sadly, was our least favorite. Perhaps it is the traditional menu that it was known for, as we are more into the modern flair. Or it could be the fact that we were here after having visited the best restaurant in San Mario and arguably the best Italian restaurant during our week-long road trip in central Italy! We asked several servers for the recommendation, and everyone suggested the pappardelle with wild boar and roast suckling pig....the pappardelle was delicious, but certainly not the best we had (I guess it gets tough after having been to 100 countries). The roast suckling pig was a different story...the meat was chewy and not tasty at all. We could barely finish our food and left the restaurant unsatisfied. The service was hit and miss. The bartender warmed up to us after seeing us struggle to stay cool. But the server took a while to take our orders after we were seated at the table. The restaurant was buzzing though, even at late hours. I am sure there must be reasons that drew people here, we just didn't get to taste the food that we enjoyed.

Just had an amazing meal here. We started with the bruschetta Pomodoro which was very fresh. For entrees, the stuffed rabbit special and the wild boar steaks were both fabulous. They catered to our kids making our son a half order of ravioli to go with his meatballs and basic spaghetti and butter for our daughter. We uncharacteristically each wanted different things for dessert and splurged with everyone getting their own. The tiramisu lives up to the decadent hype. The two variations on the "cake of the day" were excellent, and the Panna cotta was light and fluffy. Service was very accommodating and the ambiance was superb.

Once in a while, there comes a restaurant where, after you dine there, you are glad that you took someone's recommendation to try it. Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco is exactly that sort of place. Even without a reservation we were seated quickly and we were fortunate have the nook surrounded entirely by brick. It is safe to say that it was here that I have tasted the best tiramisu I had ever had in my life. Seriously - listen to everyone else on this one... the antipasto di cinghiale and pappardelle were expertly prepared and the ambience is quite exquisite -- in a way that seems storybook and welcoming. Please plan to visit this spot the next time you're in Florence.

I made reservations (we waited 30 minutes to be seated) here based on a recommendation from someone who had dined at the restaurant 15 years ago. For our party, the food was average at best. We ordered their specialty and an assortment of pasta dishes - all average. The best thing was the lemon sorbet for dessert. The restaurant is packed with people, noisy, and uncomfortable. Be prepared to have your seat continuously bumped into if you're unfortunately seated where the wait staff run to and from the kitchen. Service was haphazard. I feel we had to ask for too many things that should have been offered or provided.

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

Not many places actually have yelp reviews, but this one had so many with great feedback. The food looked amazing. When we arrived we thought they were closed, but that is because they moved to a bigger restaurant a few doors down. When we arrived at the front, the gentleman asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. He directed us to the line with no reservations. The line was a bit long, but doubled in size almost immediately. It also started pouring rain during this time and we were ALL getting drenched even with an umbrella. The non reservation line was not really moving unless people left the line. We waited a good hour. As we inched closer and closer, the lines were now both outrageous and getting seated seemed like a distant memory. The staff came out and gave out Sangria and Bread bites to help those in line feel welcome. We did finally get seated and we were so glad we waited, it was worth it! We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, the lobster spaghettini and the chicken breast with roasted potatoes. We also ordered sangria. Everything was so good and our total was 83 €. Prices were unbelievable! We were amazed at the quality, the service and how large the restaurant they relocated to was. It was like a well oiled machine. The food coming out quickly and efficiently. I will 100% be back if I return to Florence!
