I read reviews regarding long waits and i'm guessing they are referring to the IBJI doctors office and not the Physical Therapy office.

I had struggled for about a year and a half with an injured Achilles tendon accompanied by hip pain and other issues that resulted from the Achilles issue as well as inactivity from WFH for 18 mos. I had gone to so many practitioners trying to find relief. I received shockwave therapy, a cortisone shot, two MRIs, and an EMG to detect nerve damage - I spent so much time and money all to no avail, and then I met Denise. I was attracted to her practice because she promotes a holistic and a "Whole Body Approach" in her treatment methodology. From the first visit, I knew this would be a different experience than what I had been experiencing. Denise listened to my concerns and let me know what she thought was going on. She even brought out a poster of the entire musculoskeletal system and showed me which muscles were being affected and what needed to be done to correct and activate them. After just a few weeks, I noticed marked improvements and my movement was much improved. After two months, I was virtually pain-free and most importantly Denise gave me the tools to help myself. The exercises and education she provides really address the individual needs of her patients. With her knowledge and expertise, she helped calm my central nervous system and break the cycle of pain I was experiencing. Since completing my round of treatment, I've continued to get better and stronger and I've even begun working out with weights again and keeping active. I'm so excited to have my life back and really appreciate and value Denise for taking the time and using her expertise to help get me there. I intend to make her a part of my ongoing healthcare routine!

I saw improvement with each session and I am very close to being done. She gave me some good exercises to keep working. Also, the OT commented on how I plopped in the chair. My friend who is a nurse told me it was my quads (i worked on them and sit gently now) Why did they not tell me that? You already have a wonderful group of passionate and dedicated professionals, including Liz, Kurt, Dr. Emily (OT), Ian, and Chrissy. Their expertise, encouragement, and commitment to their patients make a tremendous difference. As a stroke survivor, I would also like to offer a suggestion. Please consider investing in overhead harness systems for gait and mobility training. These systems can be incredibly valuable in stroke recovery, providing additional safety and support while helping patients improve their walking ability, balance, and overall gait. From my perspective, they can make a significant difference in the rehabilitation process. Thank you again for the excellent care and support your team provides. I am truly grateful for everything Cadence has done to help me on my recovery journey. Sincerely, Sohail Hussain.

My…read moreorthopedic doctor Garry Shapiro diagnosed arthritis of the neck and knees and recommended that I start physical therapy as soon as possible. I began to look for a suitable place opened during the evening hours and working with my insurance plan. But most importantly, I was looking for a doctor who specializes in neck pain. I was very lucky to find Physical Therapist Jennifer Laube on Yelp, where she was given high reviews by former patients. Doctor Jennifer Laube PT works in Emery Physical Therapy, and she is the most professional, knowledgeable and upbeat person. First, she gave me a complete evaluation, accessing how well I can move my neck and knees, and asked about symptoms such as pain, numbness and stiffness. She identified weakness in my hips, glutes, hamstrings and shoulders and began to teach me how to do exercises that will help me stretch, strengthen and straighten up my joints and muscles. To relieve pain and stiffness, Dr. Laube gives me a deep tissue massage and ultrasound. She gave me a lot of professional advices on how to keep correct posture, sit at the computer, how to walk and how to sleep. She explained to me what my postures were poor and explained their adverse effects on my health. I continue coming for a treatment, but I am happy to admit that my joint health has improved, less pain and stiffness in my neck and knees. I have plans to get rid of pain forever.

Jen is one of the finest and most dedicated therapists around. As many tears that I shed and pain that I endured, both at home and in physical therapy, I am at the level I am today because of Jen. There are a lot of excellent therapists out there; some working at IBJI. BUT--- it will be a very long time before anyone will come close to walking in Jennifer Laube's shoes.
