It never happened to me in last many decades. I refused to do so because as per my knowledge and law a patient can pay his/her bill or dues through cash, check or credit/debit card. It is an unlawful practice and made up policy of MDHN for its own financial business malpractice in my opinion. Besides, As best of my knowledge I have no dues but in case If I had one which I was not aware of it, I must have been provided the bill at the desk on the day of appointment or I should have been told about it at the time when I made appointment or they should have sent me a notice ahead of time but they failed to do so and my rights to see the doctor was violated. The counter girl was very rude and uncaring. Not only she wasted my time and played with my serious medical conditions (I am 80 years old, I have brain tumor, spinal, nervous system and serious stomach problems and I have gone many procedures) but also my right were violated. I am considering to discuss this matter with an attorney or expert to file a law suit against them.

Dr. Mehta in 2015 attributed a long-standing problem to an eating disorder dating back to high school. I was 56 with very severe constipation that had been going on for years. I happened to see my chart with his note referring to my problem as psychological. I recently went to ER for a bowel obstruction. Multiple tests were performed indicating a nonfunctional colon due to its size and tortuousness. Not because of laxative use, an eating disorder, nor psychological issues. Simply because I was born with it. Had Dr. Mehta been more dedicated to solving my problem and less inclined to label "an hysterical woman," perhaps I would have enjoyed more quality of life these past several years... glad I have finally been seen by a doctor who is interested in helping me.

I came in for a follow-up after a serious hospital stay and was turned away because the office claimed they hadn't received a fax, despite it being sent the prior week. No real effort was made to locate it, and I was even refused when I offered to email the records myself. Dr. Dyer never spoke to me directly and instead made dismissive, disrespectful comments to staff within earshot. She told me to go on Miralax and when I came in for my second appointment she told me I could do nothing or try a fod map diet. Miralax is not a solution at all and a fod map takes months to figure out what might potentially be wrong. I asked about ways to test allergies because I heard of people who had gotten tested with successful results. She said this was a scam, but I went to a doctor in the city and had a test done that showed me I was 100% allergic to dairy which is incredibly common. I cut it out of my diet completely and never had stomach pains again which I didn't think was possible. She didn't even think to tell me to switch to plant-based or dairy-free to see how I felt. I left feeling very angry because she basically told me nothing I didn't know. If you have similar issues, do not waste your time here or MD's like this. They are not trained in nutrition. Go to someone who can give you an electrical test (doesn't hurt) which will show you what you're truly allergic to.

You have a patient who is allergic to propofol and obviously can't be sedated for procedures has to be general anesthesia. Sedation isn't strong enough. You take them to a main OR and handle things with a gas anesthesia system. PROBLEM SOLVED. Except for this office. This office seems to think they are the ultimate authority and they can dictate how you will take a test. At first they attempted to force a dangerous drug upon me which I refused. I demanded prior accommodations I had some few years back. They refused. Then they called telling me "versed sedation or nothing" Bro? Did you ever read my f-ing chart? This office has zero compassion. They run on a revolving door model and if you aren't an easy fast TIVA propofol them out with burning nasty drug and then have them wake up dazed confused and violent type of patient they don't want you. Propofol has had a history of fatalities, violent psychotic episodes and more. I refuse to touch it and it's MY RIGHT to have alternative anesthesia that is GENERAL ANESTHESIA under federal law.
