I'm a truck driver, for Gypsum Express and was nervous about a nighttime delivery at the store, you have to wait for the store to close for drywall, and can take hours sometimes. My fears of running out my clock and having to stay the weekend there, were quickly put to rest, when Lloyd appeared on the forklift, and had me completely unloaded in 16 minutes! Came here to check out their selection of window blinds and to see how they actually work. They had a nice set up with a few different models to try out. Found out they offer more colors on line than in the store. They are able to customs cut the blinds in store if needed. Good to know! The store has so many home items and a fair price. I was checking out their garden, hardware and carpet areas. Definitely a great place to shop when updating your home or yard. Staff was very friendly and greeted me more than one occasion. I absolutely would not recommend going to home Depot especially since many of these services are done by third party companies. Many issues don't get resolved unless you continue to follow up with the company. Even after contacting home Depot they will give you the same solution which is to talk to the third party company. After months of no resolution, these third-party companies contradicting what they have done and can do. Home Depot since they use these third party companies and no one stands behind their product or services they sell and install. I refuse to ever step foot in any home Depot again. read more

Home depot on west ridge road is the worse. Call to order and have it delivered and they can't find an 16 x 8 x 8 block. They tell you that you have to come in to order and tht the day of delivery is not guaranteed. The other push is to order online and not through the store. Customer service is a joke. I don't enjoy shopping for home building or lawn/garden equipment and supplies, but I can count on this Home Depot location when I need to get some things. This year we decided to invest in another piece of lawn equipment. I thought maybe I would just rent, but after seeing the price here I figured it would be best to just invest. I didn't see what I needed at first, so I asked an employee who was very kind and helpful. She was able to find what we needed. We were in and out quickly! I generally can get some good garden supplies and flower deals at the end of the season. Otherwise I shop at locally owned places for those types of things, but I can't complain about what I get here. And of course paint. This is my go to place for reasonably priced paint. And I drive a few extra miles to come to this location instead of the one closer to home because the service is MUCH better. I just wish they had a few more cart corrals so that I didn't have to walk so far - but that's such a first world problem that I shouldn't even complain about it. read more

the merchandize, the layout is the same as any home depot I have visited. One thing that stood out when I visited them was the people. Lot of store employees working and eager to help you find that odd item you are looking for. This was the very positive impression that was left when I visited this store. Got all the items like towel hangers, blinds and few other things without any problem. It was nice to see people actually enjoying working at this location. Went back few times since my 1st trip and planning on going their few more times before heading back to Colorado. Last trip looking for few more items, encountered grouchy old man (didn't see him 1st time) not so happy about helping me. I was so impressed with 1st impression of this place, grouchy old man didn't effect the star rating of this place. I still got few more trips left so let see how it goes. read more

For hardware purposes, I would more or less consult my trusty toolbox first before venturing outside to a hardware store, but then there is Home Depot, more spending, less doing. It's been a ride of tears at many of these locations but this branch falls right in the middle of not horrific or not exciting, as I expected it to be. Employee's are responsive most of the time with some being really sweet to some just hating thier job. Doesn't bother me that much since the prices were ok and in the end, I didn't leave furious so I may come back if I need to. read more

Worse place I have ever to deal with. We ordered flooring which took over 3 visits to get someone who knew what they were doing. We were told they had the flooring in store. When the person put the order in they used the incorrect color so we ended up having to order it. We were told we would get 18 months no financing they only gave 6.l months. When the flooring came in we got a call saying your order was ready. Went to the store and they had no record of it being delivered so had to wait for 2 hours while they looked for it. To make this experience worse it wasnt even the full order. We were never notified when the rest of it came in. We had to contact them. The original girl helping me took my I'd and sent a gentleman to go get my product. The girl walked outside while wauting after the gentleman came back with my product we waiting another 15 mins hoping she would return. He ended up asking someone else for help. The next woman wouldn't allow me, the customer, to pick it up cause they put the order under my husband's name although the account we have with home depot and was used to pay is under my name and I was there when the order was placed. My husband was working so unable to answer the phone and the contractor was at my home working on out floor and needed these pieces to finish. So after being there and standing for a good 45 minutes while 36 weeks pregnant, I ended up having to leave empty handed. On top of the inconvenience and headache this has all been we now have to pay the contractor for another trip. I will never go back to home depot ever again. We have been loyal customers of lowes for years and they will continue to be the place we go to when we are in need of any home improvement items. Although the flooring was a little cheaper at home depot the service that comes with it is below subpar. read more

Just moved to Greece NY and am comparing hardware stores for the many necessities in a new home. For a comparison please see my 1 star review of their "Blue" competitor. World of difference. I went to purchase light bulbs, multiple light fixtures, and garden supplies which I could easily handle on my own. When it came to the storm door I needed a little help. I asked the young man sitting at a desk, who proceeded to get up, walk me to the storm doors, inquired about my project, selected the door for me, and carried it back to his desk where he proceeded to check me out along with all of the other items I was purchasing. Then he carried it to the front of the store, waited for me to drive my van up, and loaded it in the back. Home Depot- well done! You've made me a fiercely loyal member of team "orange". Weddings are EXPENSIVE!! You have no idea unless you have planned one before. What you end up finding out is the more you do the cheaper it gets! Thus I found myself spending a significant portion (like 3 hours!) wandering around this colossal beast of a home improvement store. They did have everything we needed and most of what we wanted. We started in lumber and found everything we needed without too big of a problem. So we got it all together. Found an employee and set them to cutting up our wood.....Stay on track damn it. Turns out Home Depot will cut up your lumber for free! Then just tell you to tell the cashier to call them to confirm the amount! So we gave the guy ( not sure his name) his cutting orders and off we went to finish up. We got the spray paint and hard ware we needed and back we headed. To find the guy had cocked up most of what we told him. In a game of Home Depot Telephone, our guy had to hand the project off to a second guy. We had told him we we needed 4 21" 2x4's and 4 48" 2x4's. The rest should be cut into 12" pieces. Well they cust the rest 48" into 49" and the cut the rest into 48"rs. No idea how that got cocked up but they did fix it, we just had to wait. I find, I'm pleased enough with getting all my lumber cut up for free that I don't mind the mess up. The prices were reasonable and we got 2 more projects started and paid for! read more

this HD is generally hit or miss. I'm in there enough for various things around the house that it almost seems like i've spoken to every employee there. some are extremely helpful, they stop to ask if you need help, and are generally pleasant. then there are those who make it very obvious that they hate their jobs are simply there to punch in and punch out. read more

Horrible horrible experience with the countertops installed in our kitchen. Never have I encountered such incompetence from their farmed out installers to their "manager" of installs at the store level. The store contracted out their installation to Shell-Fab Design out of West Seneca, NY no less.... Not exactly convenient for service on their poorly put together counters. Nonetheless when they came to "install" said countertops, one or more of their yahoos in the office failed to inform us that one countertop wasn't even on the truck to be installed. This is after I did the work of removing all of the previous tops leaving us with nothing in place for 2 more weeks! These contractors apparently don't know how to use a tape measure either because the counter where the sink is installed was cut incorrectly and left us with NO KITCHEN SINK FOR 2 WEEKS!! Try that with an infant & two other kids! 2 weeks later, Huey, Dewey & Louie returned to install the newly measured sink countertop & forgotten top from the previous install. My wife & I inspected the finished product when she arrived home from work that day & found numerous imperfections with the tops. She called Home Depot the next day to voice her dissatisfaction with the final product & we've been getting the runaround for the past 7 MONTHS!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & HAVE YOUR COUNTERTOPS (& PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING ELSE HOME DEPOT "INSTALLS") done by a local reputable business. Just moved to Greece from out of state. So far, every single online order I have placed with the Ridge Road Home Depot has been seriously late, sometimes by weeks, from the estimated delivery times when the orders were placed. The latest were dishes I ordered for the holidays. Tracking showed the order arrived at the store by the estimated date, but several days later, I still had not received an email to pick it up. I called the main customer service line to ask about the order status, and they contacted the store directly on my behalf. The representative was told the order was at the store, and ready for pickup, but they just had not had the time to email me. Ok, no problem. I head to the store the next evening and...no order. The pickup desk tells me it is still on the way, even though my tracking information on the Home Depot app - and THEIR tracking information on the store computer - shows it has already arrived. They tell me to just go home and wait. Meanwhile, my order is over a week late, the holidays are approaching, and no one seems to know where my order is, but they sure took my money! I suppose I should've known better than to order online from Home Depot again. A very similar situation happened a couple of months ago with a kitchen faucet and other items for a new sink I had installed. But that's a whole other story that would take another four or five paragraphs to describe. Suffice it to say, I should've ordered this item from Amazon. I probably would've gotten it much, much faster, with no run-around and wasting my time sending me to the store to pick it up when they don't even know where the order is. This is the last time I shop here for anything online. Amazon will be my first stop, and Lowe's my second choice. I am done wasting my time with this place. read more

Ordered some kitchen cabinets from store 1244, called to request BEVIN to please shoot me an email with specs so that I could have them to allow the electrician to be able to wire lighting for cabinets. She told me this was an impossibility as she was with an appointment and when I asked was there anyone else there to assist me she said probably not capable enough to shoot an email. Anyone who has a new kitchen knows I didn't spend a couple of dollars and this is the type of treatment I get after my $$$$$ purchase. Great customer service Home Depot.....NOT read more

We ordered an 800.00 vanity from Home Depot on west ridge road. When it arrived we were notified it could be picked up. We arrived at Home Depot and used the signs that said "curb side pickup" and called the number on the sign. Nobody answered after ringing no less than 49 times. I hang up and called again which then rings roughly the same amount of times before a person answers and tells me their computers are down and I'll have to come inside. We go to customer service and was told they will have it brought right out and to park near exit doors. We waited an additional 40 minutes!!!! Before calling again and the endless ring. Finally someone answers and says it's on its way out. One very big guy and a small guy wheel it out on a pallet. The big guy cuts the plastic straps and then walks away leaving me and the little guy to load the heavy items and chest into my pickup. Customer service and management at this store are the worse! Nobody likes to work and the employees all seem to hide when needed. Not to mention not one of the employees knows anything that's going on. If I could give less than a single star I would. Home Depot is a great place to go for DIY home equipment. I had a busted deadbolt on one of my doors and it was so easy to find a replacement deadbolt in the style I wanted and at an affordable price ($14). I had a couple other things to buy while I was there and grabbed those before I went for my deadbolt, but when I tried to find it, I had walked right past it. I asked one of the employees that was stationed by the entrance where I could find the deadbolts and he very promptly and courteously told me where I could find them. Every staff member that I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgable and didn't make me feel like I was a burden to them. I will definitely be coming back when I have more home improvement projects to do. read more

There is an employee named Bob there who is the most helpful person I have ever met. Go there and find Bob, he knows everything. If he doesn't know, he will find a way to help you. The rest of the place is typical Home Depot, that employee is special.. It's like he actually cares. read more

So aggregated with this company. I ordered and paid in cash $7,000 for new flooring to be delivered and installed. Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! I have many details and pictures to prove how poor this job was. I've called corporate, I've gone to store and spoke privately in an office and explained my frustration and disappointment and still no result or compensation! I've missed work, I've cried, I've tried to be understanding but...... They refuse to refund my money or rectify the situation. I promise here and now, i will continue to contact the better business bureau, the HD headquarters, the local news stations (all of them) and social media, until i FINALLY get some satisfaction!!! read more

The installation department at the 1250 W Ridge Rd, Greece, NY 14615 home depot is the WORST! They have been working for months to properly install my very expensive door and storm door and still it is NOT CORRECT!! They have repeatedly been out to my house and taken up my time only to repeatedly do things WRONG! Now they have decided it is "right" (the problem being that it is clearly NOT) and are not returning my calls or doing anything to try and fix the situation. I was in the W. Ridge (Rochester, NY) on Saturday 4/18 and I just had to say that all of your employees were great!! I was just looking around and buying certain items that I needed and it seemed like every aisle I went down someone was asking if I needed help.
