Every day is a good day, regardless of temperature, rain or snow, and we got all of those and cold, to enjoy shooting a match all to benefit our neighbors in need. To coordinate a shoot is a very daunting task, it takes a lot of people's efforts to make it a success. First we need a facility to hold such a match, well Illumined Arms donated their fantastic facility for shooters to compete and the assistance of their staff to insure the facility is available for holding the event , then all the sponsors to advertise and staff, Battleborn group, Vet Mech Arms and the Lyon County Sheriff's department staff to run and insure this event went smoothly. We also had a late sponsor by Anderson renewal windows to support such a worthy cause. All this for supporting our neighbors in need of support with our donations. This was a turkey shoot after all, so turkey's were of course the prize to the top shooters. From what I observed, everyone left with smiles on their faces, satisfied knowing we were doing this for a very worthy cause and we all participated in a safe event. read more

Most of the building they were in looked abandoned, the parking lot held a neat collection of vehicles, and they had the worst elevator I have ever seen. After following some signs, I came to the "shop" but it was more like buying guns on GTA , ammo was on the ground, guns were on pathetic shelving,. It's like they tried their best to start a business with what they could cobble together off of things they bought off of Facebook marketplace. Prices were meh, I almost wonder if the staff was nothing more than a confederacy of gun bros that got fired from other shops. read more

I expected to pay for gunsmithing service. My revolver was having frequent miss-fires. They inspected my pistol on the spot and found no problem. I brought a sample of my ammo. The gentleman immediately knew the problem. Being a rimfire cartridge, he explained these cartridges don't age well, and my problem is simply old ammo. There was no charge for the service provided. The store is well stocked, has friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is my new gun store. read more

First and last time Ill come here. Thought they had good reviews based off Yelp but after dropping off my rifle and reading Google reviews, I questioned my decision. Needless to say, I should've read the Google reviews before coming here. I brought a disassembled Ruger 10/22 (barrel and receiver) even took the receiver block off. I brought in a stock, barrel, and scope which initially asked to be mounted. I was quoted $125 for 1 hr of work and $50 for mounting to scope. I called a day after dropping it off and requested that the scope not be mounted. The man over the phone said that the gun wasn't built and that they wouldn't mount the scope. I show today to pick up the rifle and the scope is mounted. I asked why the scope was mounted when I asked that it not be and he said "because the gun was already built" when you called. Okay so if that is the case, take the scope off. I got charged $175 to put a barrel on a receiver and screw the receiver to the stock. You're telling me that takes an hour to do? Plus $50 to mount to scope. Basically I paid $125/hr and in that hour they counted the time to mount the scope in that hourly rate eve though I paid an additional $50 to have it mounted which I didnt want or need. For $50, Ill go mount and buy a bore sight myself. The work is fine but as a customer I feel robbed. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

Gunsmithing services were within quoted price range and completed earlier than their estimated work window. Their firearm showroom is quite possibly the most impressive collection in the Reno-Tahoe area and all the employees were professional, respectful and quick to complete work. Took my rifle here to get a few additions and modifications. The team is very knowledgeable, the pricing is fair, and they have a nice selection of ammo without limits. This was the only place I could get 9mm range rounds without being told they're out of stock or I can only buy X amount of boxes. Quality of work was great. They really made sure I had what I wanted and explained benefits and drawbacks. Their Instagram has photos and videos of their current projects - all very cool looking. read more
