I love it here. Been coming to this nail saloon for years and by far one of the best one in long beach. Service is great. The ladies are nice and professional. They are always fast to sit you and get started. Today, I got a mani/pedi. Both ladies did a great job. They both soak, cut, clean, a little nice massage, and painted my nails. If the nail polish is out of place, they'll clean it for you. Lastly, I Iove it because they never rush the pedi or mani even when it's busy. To add on, this place is always clean and tidy. I had the most unpleasant experience here at Images. I paid $100 for a pedicure (classic) and dip nails. Tea was my nail lady who was not as friendly. She did everything backwards, she put my nails on then decided to do my manicure. On top of that I had cuts on my nails from the electric filter. No apologies, nothing, she made 4 cuts on my hands and it was so painful. I asked for a manager and a new nail technician however was not accommodated. I get that they use electric filer but please be mindful and careful! They did not sanitize the filer and did not put any alcohol or clean my cuts. Would not return here again. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE! I started getting my nails done again the end of last year (December 2016) and I've been getting both my nails and feet done consistently since then. Images Nails is the only nail salon I've gone to since December 2016. Long story short, I caught a nail fungus from this place on 3 of my fingernails and one on my big toe. I have never in my life had any kind of nail fungus. Now I have to google how to treat nail fungus & walk around with 3 nails with black fungus on them. I will never patronize this place again. They are obvious unsanitary & don't clean or sterilize their utensils and pedicure tubs. I feel it's useless to go back in there & cause a fuss because they'll just deny it. I noticed the fungus on my big toe a few months ago & every technician in there that I asked whether or not it was a fungus said that it looked more like a bruise. I believed them because I am always hitting my toe on stuff around my house & figured it could be a possibility. But after I recently took my polish off to apply a different color (because the last person that did my nails at Images just the week before did such a poor job on my nails as well as the gel polish because it literally started peeling off of the acrylic) is when I saw the fungus on my nails. SMH. This place needs to be reported to the Health Board (which I think will be my next step). read more

I came to this salon initially to pamper my nieces but decided to join in on the fun! BIG mistake! My nieces each got manis and pedis and I got a full set with gel polish. A young lady started doing my nails and as the salon got busy she stopped helping me and a man took over my appointment. Once we were all finished and we were getting ready to pay the man who was charging me kept insisting that my nieces got gel mani/pedis when they didn't. I had to approach the workers who helped them so they could clarify what services were actually done. Finally after they told him it was regular mani/ pedis I paid and was on my way. It wasn't until about a week later that I started having extreme complications with my nails. I don't know what products they use at this salon for acrylics but I developed a severe allergic reaction. I literally had to go to urgent care and they confirmed that it was something in the nail products that were causing the allergic reaction. I have been getting acrylic nails for years and have never experienced anything like this. I let my fingers heal went to my original nail salon and had 0 issues. Should request a refund tbh. I spent over $100 in services plus my urgent care visit. read more

So I've gone here on and off for years, mainly off. I first started going here about 5 years ago, but stopped when I didn't really care for the rude attitudes. I will stop by from time to time to see Mimi who knows how to wax my eyebrows how I like. So a week ago, I needed my nails done for a party I was going to that night and was in a tight spot because of a flat tire making me miss my appointment with my regular nail lady so I decided to give them a try again since they were close. First off, before I sat down I asked the owner and the woman doing my nails if they could do a design cause yes I'm one of those that pick my design ahead of time, and they said they could do it. This turned out to be FALSE when it came time to actually do it. Second, the chick then cut a chunk out of one of my cuticles making it bleed a whole lot. Needless to say at this point I'm past irritated and just looking to get out of here so ended up with a mediocre gel manicure and a finger that hurt like heck. Only positive with this visit is that Mimi was there so at least my eyebrows were done to my liking. I won't be going here for nails again. read more

DO NOT GET WAXED HERE! They absolutely butchered my eyebrows . I had beautiful thick Kim K eyebrows and she waxed them into skinny lopsided McDonald arches . I am very protective of my eyebrows so I outline them with black liner. I draw a line so they know exactly where to wax . I told the lady 3 times , "Wax only under the line". I showed her with my hands , "Wax only underneath the line". Again I told her "Only under the line". She left the wax room door open and was busy talking to other customers and employees . She wiped the lines off my face and told me "yes, I will make them nice". When I showed her that she has waxed my eyebrows wrong, she played dumb acting like she did not understand and blamed me for not putting a line on my eyebrows for her to follow. Came in on Super Bowl Sunday to relax and treat myself. The guy that works there had the game on as loud as the television goes up and the reception was terrible so it was cutting in and out. He is yelling at the TV the entire time. Pedicure was decent but I wouldn't recommend the atmosphere for a relaxing treat for yourself. This place is awful. They used fake revlon acrylic on my nails, never put them under the uv to dry and then when I went to pay the paint chipped and they refused to fix it. When asking for a refund the lady fought with me for 15 minutes prior and then for the entire process of her taking the terrible job off of my fingernails. She was extremely unprofessional and continued to try to start fights with me after I asked her multiple times to just not talk to me anymore. If there was an option for less than one star then I would give it to them. Not to mention while I was sitting in the chair the ceiling was leaking water on my legs. This place should be condemned. Okay, I'm no stranger to Brazilian waxing. I went to this place based on June S.' review. Well, I make a morning appt for Christina or Tina. Sure, come in tomorrow. Show up, go to the Gauntlet room. Come to find out the woman who's going to do my Brazil, is not Christina, WTF, I made an appt for her. Basically have been lied to. What can one do when you're spread-eagle on the waxing table. I very, well can't get up with hot wax dripping from my crotch?! Anyways, this woman begins to wax and dab and rip in a very incorrect way. One knows one is quite vulnerable when in this compromising position. I let her finish. Knowing she did a fucked-up job. Not only have I been lied to about my appt., but my hoo-haa has been ripped to shreds. Also, the regrowth happened within a week. Normally it takes 3 weeks for anything to show up. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS SALON. I'm going to stick with my other boo-gee ass salons. My nether region is too precious to be exposed to this torture, thank you very much. read more

But then I discovered Images Nails. I had gone there once before - years ago, before they remodeled. It wasn't anything fantastic so I never went back. But then, a few years ago, they remodeled and the place looks really good. So, I started going there about a year ago and I love it. I get the spa pedicure for $30. That includes a callous remover, salt scrub, a mud mask and a paraffin wax. The girls are all really friendly and - believe it or not - they don't spend the entire time yelling back and forth in Vietnamese so you don't wonder if they are talking about you all the time. They do a really good job and my feet always come out of there looking really pretty. read more

Come here if you want to spend $25 on a mani and pedi that looks wonderfully glossy until it dries. That's when the magic sets it--your nails then become uniformly bumpy. Amazing! The women who serviced me today were excessively rough and the whole experience was painful. They rushed to thru the whole process (we'll pretend that applying lotion is like a massage) and I was really too chicken shit to say anything. I did, however, pipe up when they immediately threw on the second coat and gloss before allowing any of the previous layers to dry. I asked her if this would lead to my polish becoming bumpy (as I've been told by technicians from other salons). She said no--because she was applying very thin layers. I have never walked out of anywhere, especially a nail salon SO infuriated! At first, I really liked this place. They give you water, they have cute colors and nice massage chairs. This will never make up for how TERRIBLE the nail experience was. Firstly, she is "done" filing my nails, and they look like a squiggle line. She barely cut any cuticle off, I had to go home and do it myself. She scrubbed the bottom of my foot for no more than 15 seconds each, also had to go home and do it myself. Secondly, the painting job. She put 2 layers on the right foot and 3 on the left, and unfortunately you could tell. She didnt put a top coat on the left foot, but did on the right. She paraffin dipped my left foot before she put the top coat so I think she forgot. Then at the end she paraffin dipped both of my feet... very DISORGANIZED. I was so furious I wanted to refuse to pay for my nails, but I did and will just never return to this place or recommend it. As I was walking out, another lady says to me "Come back and I will fix it for you" Why didnt she just take over if she knew the other lady was doing such a terrible job. And what she should have done was either not charged me or given me a certificate for a free mani pedi. Bottom line this place was a disaster, I needed a glass of wine and a massage after going to this place. I WILL NEVER RETURN, nor will any of my friends or family. read more

No stars- I came here to get my nails done for a job interview two and a half weeks ago. The color of the polish was old and smelled funny plus she had done an awful job at painting. Three days later I took the polish off and my nails were YELLOW, fungal infection yellow. I am fairly sick due to an infection I had caught there. Also, they used 409 to clean out the pedicure bowls. For that reason alone, I would not recommend this place to anyone. That is NOT state board regulated disinfectant and it's highly unsanitary. It's a hit or miss kind of place. I'm currently soaking my middle finger in peroxide because one of their workers broke my nail. I wanted a new set and usually get beautiful sets from here. They have some really nice workers who go the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied with your nails but this time one of their workers was roughly removing the acrylic from my nail and to no surprise my real nail broke! Not only was it bleeding but it was very painful and she didn't seem too apologetic either. I left with no new set and a broken, bloody nail. My mother stayed behind because she was getting her feet done and the owners apologized and offered to have someone else do my set but I was too upset to go back in there. Yelp helped me find this place! When I came here the first time, I have to say it really was hard to find. It is on Ximeno, and is not visible from PCH. I have been here like three times, and all three times I had pleasant experience. The machines are pretty up to date, and they really take a good care of your nails. I did cheat and go to a nail salon in LA when I had a pedi/mani emergency, but that experience only emphasized how much I appreciate this place. I don't spend much time in LBC anymore since I am up in LA most of the time, but I will still go to LBC just to get my nails done. Woo! What can I say? Location, location! It's two storefronts down from the laundromat I frequent and I was looking for some me time and I damn well deserved it. It's the perfect thing to treat yourself to while you're waiting for your clothes to come out of the dryer. I will say that this was the first time I got crystal gel on my nails and I am quite pleased that I did. I am the person who has to normally run back into the salon 4 minutes after I left because I already smudged or chipped them on my steering wheel or something, and these babies have lasted me through the rest of my laundry and chores that day AND two shifts at my job. They're still going strong! I'm definitely going to stick with crystal gel the next time I find myself treating myself out to the salon (which is rare, so good thing this lasts so long!). I also opted to get the upgraded deluxe spa pedicure, which included the wax dip and the scrub for my legs and feet. It does wonders for calluses and made my feet so much prettier and softer - this is definitely something I would recommend for someone like me who doesn't frequent salons and really did a mean number to their poor aching dogs. I feel like it was well worth it! Only thing I think I'd recommend is that they should probably reorganize their nail color sections... that was confusing as hell. They're spread apart throughout the entire salon and the colors are all mismatched and hard to find. It's also a bit on the expensive side for my tastes, but again, I'm not a girl that normally frequents nail salons so once in a blue moon isn't so bad as a nice treat for myself. I went in this nail salon thinking it would be great, based on all the good reviews. However, it ended up being the worst manicure I have ever had. My manicurist seemed like she was in a hurry and often times left me sitting in the chair for 10-15 minutes while she disappeared. She filed my nails badly and left them crooked! I had to keep asking her to correct them, which she really did not do. Also she piled on gel at the end of the manicure so my nails looked fake and lumpy. It was one of the worst experiences ever. And to top it off, my fingers BURNED from whatever chemicals she used on my nails (and that has never happened to me before). All in all, it was highly disappointing. read more

Now, I live about 20 minutes away and I still chose to drive that far to come here. In establishments like this one, I look for overall store cleanliness and friendliness of employees. This place has just that. But, it's all about the experience I am given that is the most important thing to me, and I get excellent service from Nancy.
