Genuinely so disappointed that I'm leaving such a bummer review. Me and my mother came to this nail salon ready for a pedicure and were exited to try them out. We won't be returning at all. The establishment was hot and the ladies who did our nails made our nails come out crooked and we paid together 85 dollars for two regular pedicures! That's more than gas money !!!! The nails don't even look well and the overall experience here was not worth 85 dollars at all!!! Don't come here and spend your money at nail salons consistent in nails being done well. read more

Nice service here! I just got a gel polish removal and a manicure and they did a great job. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and was accommodated right away. The place was also clean and had a nice aesthetic. It's along a main road so you would need to park along the street. read more

I love coming here, the staff is so kind and so incredibly talented & thoughtful! Angel always does a wonderful job with my pedicures and Rose is truly masterful with my hands. I do gel builder on top of my long natural nails and she is so meticulous, they always look amazing when I leave & are strong enough to last over a month between appointments. Also any other salon I've been to, they never actually give you a manicure (cleaning cuticles or even massaging with lotion) when you get gel builder but here at Red, I never even need to ask! Not only is the salon clean & organized, but the vibe is pleasant and relaxing, even when I've had to bring my children along with me (the staff are all so incredibly sweet to them & always ask about them when I come alone). Quick service and very detailed nail technicians. Nice and clean environment with lovely chairs and spas. I was able to walk in without an appointment and two technicians started almost immediately for a gel manicure and pedicure. Great service, will return. Relatively comparable pricing. Free street parking along the front and also lot in the back. read more

This review is solely based on scheduling. I made an appointment online and I received confirmation via text that the salon accepted my 930 appointment time. I arrived at the salon at 9:30 and it was closed. There was nobody there and lights off. I waited 10 minutes and I called still nothing. Half hour passes by and I've called maybe about five times, and still nothing. It's been about 40 minutes now and they are still not answering the phone. And there is still nobody at the salon. I'm very disappointed because I specifically carved out the 930 time for this appointment. read more

I love this place. After a few bad experiences at other nail salons that left my nails in terrible shape (and cost me way too much), I was honestly traumatized. Went in yesterday around 9:30 am to get a pedicure the experience Was alright. The lady wasn't talkative she barely even said hello but besides the point my side of my big toenail is hurt and sore I can't even walk on my foot .she was taking my cuticles out with the "pointy part " of the cuticles pusher the whole time. And I pushed my foot back a couple of times because it was hurting and she still went on and on never bothered to ask if I was okay. I give this place a -1 star how do you have 4.5 stars but can't follow STATE BOARD protocols read more

I arrived early and was promptly taken care of. The level of detail my technician had was mind blowing: (I am so sorry that I didn't. Get his name.) This is my new go to spot for nails in Long Beach! I'm so glad this is so close to my house and thanks to Yelp, I found this place. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the clean, beautiful space. The white walls create a serene and inviting ambiance that makes you feel instantly relaxed. Everything was organized to perfection, adding to the overall sense of calm. The staff was friendly, attentive, and skilled, making sure I was comfortable and satisfied throughout my visit. They took great care in removing my old gel polish, and the attention to detail was impeccable. I opted for a gel removal and a new gel color on top. My daughter and I made 2 appointments by text for 11:00am. I made sure to let the scheduler know my daughter had to be out by 1:30pm because she had work nearby at 2pm. We were scheduled for 2 pedicures. My daughter was removing and replacing her gel X and I was getting hard gel. The scheduler assured me there would be no problem time wise. My mind said 2 1/2 hours should be plenty of time. We arrived 5 minutes early and were told they were running a little bit late, but time would still not be a problem. So we awaited. The technician came and got my daughter and had her sit in a pedi chair. Then they came and got me. Tita was very nice and started on my daughter's nails. While someone else came and did my pedicure. First off, my toes were terrible. from the pedicure to the color. Anyways, when the technician was done with my toes, she began my daughter's. Another bad pedicure, but my daughter needed to leave. It was now 1:55pm. 2 hours and 55 minutes! My daughter left me so she wouldn't be too late for work. I stayed and instead of getting hard gel I tried the gel builder. It was just ok. Nothing more than a thicker gel. Here I am 2 weeks later and it's lifting. I was there for almost 4 and half hours total! I had to take an Uber home because ti took so long. Not to mention, the cost was outrageous! My recommendation fr this nail shop is, make sure the person scheduling is in the shop, not at home assuming everything is running on schedule. She really needs to value people's time. read more

I came in for a walk-in manicure and pedicure. The staff was nice enough to take me, and the salon was pretty empty, which I didn't think much of. The technicians didn't talk much during the service, which I didn't mind since I'm a bit socially awkward. My issue is not with the manicure that turned out fine. The problem started after the pedicure. What seemed like an okay job at the time ended up being much worse. That same night, I felt pain in one of my toes. I didn't think too much of it until the next morning, when I woke up with swelling and discomfort walking. Two days later, the side of my toe became visibly inflamed, and now there's pus a clear sign of infection. I'm not the type to leave negative reviews nor complain, but this situation has caused real discomfort and concern. I understand accidents happen, but I hope this helps others stay cautious and I hope the salon takes steps to avoid this happening again. My review isn't to talk down about this business nor its staff, just raise awareness for the future clients who deserve quality services. read more

Made an appointment several days ago for 10am. Arrived 2 minutes before my appointment time and was told to have a seat. Another customer arrived and was acknowledged by one of the nail techs that she would be right with her. She waited at most 10 min and was called. 28 minutes later I am still sitting on their couch so I got up and left. What's the use of booking an online appointment several days before if you're going to be left sitting there waiting past your appointment time? I was already at my car when a nail tech came out and tried to apologize. I explained to her my appointment time and that I now did not have time to start my appointment. She said her last client arrived late so that's why she was late. How about a text message saying you're running behind? I could see 10-15 min waiting, maybe even acknowledging at the time that you are running behind. 28 minutes sitting waiting while everyone is busy is just not cool. Not sure I'll ever come back here even with all the good reviews. read more

I am so uncomfortable and pregnant and they just let me relax and took such good care of me. So, I found this shop on Yelp and choose it based on it's high ratings. It's located on Atlantic Ave with plenty of street parking. I was a walk-in and had to wait approx. 20 minutes until someone was available. I had a nice set of acrylic nails and all I wanted was a color change and them to be rounded a little more. Somehow, that went from what I asked for to what I received. This was my first set of nails and I didn't realize until it was too late that the technician was removing my nails instead of what I wanted. My natural nails have grown out a little and they were manicured, and a new color was applied. I was getting use to having longer nails and will get a new set in the near future but not from here. I don't understand how my request got confused. read more

I rarely end up coming back to the same nail place more than once but I finally found my spot! Only down side is it's by my parent's house rather than mine but I drive down from Santa Monica to come here (it's worth it!). The prices are great, place isn't over the top fancy but very clean, and they do a high quality job. My gel polish always lasts perfectly, I just end up needing to come back when my nails grow out. Highly recommend! read more

I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years, and never have I had such a terrible experience at a nail salon. I called to see if they could take a walk in. They told me to come within 20 minutes for a full set and I arrived within 15 minutes. Then it took 30 minutes for the only nail technician there to get started on my nails. And then I received the worst set of nails I have ever had in my 15+ yrs of getting my nails done. She used so much powder to where my nails were incredibly thick, and now they are coming off within less than a week of getting my new set of nails at this salon. Not only that, I asked the technician over and over again to please file 3 of my nails that were way too thick and crooked. After 20 more minutes of filing with a nail file by hand, she set the nail file down. I then picked up the nail file and filled my own nails. She then asked if my nails were ok, after I had shaped them properly myself. My favorite nail salon is in Irvine and I should have just gone there. Red beauty is right by my house so I thought going there would have saved me time by getting my nails done there, but I could have gotten a perfect set of nails that would have lasted twice as long from the nail salon I love in Irvine in the amount of time it took to get the mediocre set I got at Red Beauty and Nails. It's absolutely ridiculous that the nail tech took over 3 hours to do a terrible job on a full set of nails. Even though the salon is right by my house, I will never go again and will tell everyone I know to never frequent this terrible business. FYI, my nails are already coming off within 5 days of getting a brand new set of nails. Save yourself the hassle and stress, just don't ever patron this terrible business. read more

He sat me down and started a soak-off, and while that was finishing, what I assume is a "regular" walked in around 11:13am and asked, "should I come back later?" since there were already about 6 people being serviced. He told her no, to sit at another table, and then got up and left me mid-service to go help her. Mind you, I only had gel on, so it's a soak-off with acetone and then drill off the rest. He started servicing her and never came back to me or communicated anything, he just walked away. Around 11:18, another lady noticed that the man just left me mid service and moved me to a pedicure chair and started my pedicure. After a while, the man finally came back to continue on my nails. I politely asked him to remove the aluminum foil, and he said he would finish doing my nails, but at that point I declined service based on how everything was handled. The other lady told me he "had an appointment," but I don't believe that was the case because she had just walked in and asked if she should come back later, not that she was there for a scheduled appointment. Overall, it was just handled very poorly. I come here when I'm in the area, and my partner is a regular customer, but after this experience, we both won't be coming back. Also, they charge to use your debit card.
