I especially loved that they had a variety of easy, affordable items spread throughout the shop, such as gumball machines for different cards or 3 for $10 deals. If you're just getting started in collecting or vinyl this would be a great first stop and the staff can definitely steer you in the right direction. I stopped by just to peruse and the staff was super friendly and eager to help out, honestly I recommend Platinum for the customer service alone because they were awesome and really know their stuff.

Tons of sports memorabilia and vinyls that are authentic CLASSICs and OGs from their original release dates. The covers on the vinyls are in perfect condition and they have vinyls from then and now. They also offer amazingly crafted wood work done by hand by a super cool guy that is very hospitable and has a cool story. These type of shops are rare to find with rare people inside. The big boss gave me a deal for Father's Day and is patient and so so friendly and cool. I felt like I was walking into an Uncle's shop I've been going to for years, they make you feel like family. Love it and will always come back! Thanks guys!

I would give this place…read morenegative stars unfortunately I have to give at least one star to have this review to through. There are a ton other smoke shops with quality products and the people behind the counter don't look sketch! Anyways take your money else where, this place does not need to be in business. Bad service, bad products...bad all the way around! Take your business elsewhere!

I was just ripped off. They sell records hade like amateurs. I will never be coming back here…read morebecause today they ripped me off. The Sales clerk Mateo told me that anything which did not have their price sticker on it was a dollar. I spent well over an hour digging through the dollar bins. When I was making a final sort through a pile of 80 or so records they then informed me that they would now be $2 per record. After 10 minutes of conversation they then agreed to go back to the original dollar price. Upon check out they still overcharge me. After the sale was complete they told me that that Price stickers from old record shops also now counted and were more expensive than one dollar. They rip me off about 20 bucks. Not even worth arguing any further. Avoid this shop. Additionally earlier as I I dug through all of their records pulling out records I was interested in they kept wanting to grab them and move them to the counter.

This mall...anyway, this particular location actually has some new CDs...precious few, but those…read moreand DVDs, and some used stuff as well. Why? No idea, but this one is definitely a lot less invested in pop culture than the one in Orem. So, I guess if you're looking for music or movies, this would be the one to hit and if you're looking for pop kitsch like figures or Japanese food items or blankets or related stuff, Orem is your bag. Both of them are flooded with Funko POPs, though, so if you're into deformed hunks of plastic, either one will work just fine.

Every once and awhile, I'll be rolling down 2100 South in Sugarhouse and hit 700 E and think "Hmm,…read morethe FYE is still there!" I used to hit up the FYE back in the DVD days, but haven't gone in one since Obama's first term. So imagine my surprise when I'm rolling through the Provo Mall to see an FYE. Stunned. When I went in, it was much different than I remember. The DVDs and CDs were mostly relegated to the bargain bins. FYE's reason for survival quickly became clear: The most voluminous collection of Pop! Funko in the entire mall; a gigantic Rick & Morty display in the front; enough pop culture t-shirts to clothe an army; DC and Marvel comic clothes and collectables, vinyl records and cool turntables; and Pop Sockets (accessories for the back of cell phones). They've really found a way to stay competitive with the other pop culture stores by having "exclusives", such as the Batman/Aquaman 2-pack, and Pennywise (with teeth) from "It", and Jimmy Hendrix burning his guitar at the Monterrey Pop Festival. I put the word "exclusives" in quotes as you can get them on Amazon; however, even those have the FYE label on them. The "For Your Entertainment" of FYE has changed a bit, away from the movies themselves and rapidly toward the clothes we wear and the collectibles we display long after we see the film. I get the distinct feeling that the new, evolved FYE is here to stay.
