My experience with this dental office was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Two weeks ago, I was seen for a painful dental issue and was told I had an infection. The office informed me that a prescription had been sent to Kaiser. After multiple calls to Kaiser, I was repeatedly told that no prescription had been received. I contacted the office several times and explained the problem. After two weeks of going back and forth while dealing with an infection, I became frustrated and told them over the phone that if I had to come to the office in person, I would be even more upset because nobody seemed to be addressing the issue. I ended up driving to the office twice trying to get the prescription resolved. When I spoke with Mike, instead of helping fix the problem, he told me, "Why don't you go get it in Tijuana?" I was shocked by that response. I had already been seen by their office, and I was simply trying to obtain the prescription that I had been told was sent weeks earlier. What made the situation even more upsetting was that when I mentioned I would be leaving a Yelp review about my experience, Mike immediately responded by saying he would report me to Medi-Cal. I told him, "Go ahead." I found that response inappropriate and upsetting. Patients should be able to share honest feedback about their experiences without feeling threatened. I fully acknowledge that I was frustrated. However, after two weeks of trying to obtain a prescription for an infection, multiple phone calls, and two trips to the office, I believe my frustration was understandable. If after so many attempts who would not be upset. So how many patients have you lied about because they report the service and threats. And yes I will go to a dentist in Tijuana thanks. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, dismissive attitude, and threats in response to criticism made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a healthcare setting. read more

This dentist is an absolute crook, overcharges his clients for services, and takes way too long compared to other dentists I've worked with (took two hours for 3 cavity fillings and makes you wait a long time after your appnt time on multiple occasions). Very first visit they advised my family and I were on the verge of supposedly having periodontal disease and his "billing" team used predatory tactics to try and sell this BS $1800 "deep" cleaning not covered by our insurance and even tried billing my insurance anyway. Went to another dentist in the area and advised the opposite, go figure. Overcharged my spouse $2100 for crowns in which they were very pushy initially to get the work done, should have listened to my gut. Luckily my gut told me to work with my insurance company to investigate and they actually ruled in our favor as you can see in the letter I added in images. This is my second visit here and not my last, If I can give more stars I would, I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and they are so attentive to my anxiety and making sure I am okay. I am in the medical field and a nursing student who deals with many patients who have anxiety and know and learn what to do but when it comes to my self as a patient I am stubborn and a baby lol, they handled everything very well with me and were very patient and kind, and made me feel comfortable as well. First of all AVOID this place, its like going to buy a car and your met with high pressure salesmen tactics. If your a new patient they will give you xrays and then put a high density camera in your mouth and take photos and display it in a 3d model on a screen for you and other patients to see, It's like to embarrass you into paying for stuff you DONT NEED! As a new patient I came in for a cleaning paid by the insurance they refused it stating I needed a deep cleaning $1,900.00 not covered by insurance. Mind you my teeth are in great shape, this then led to a list of what's called a Proposed Treatment Plan. I was refused a simple cleaning unless I agreed to the unnecessary deep cleaning. The total cost was over $8,000.00. Everything on that list was upgrades. The Dentist was not friendly and kept looking at the dumb monitor with the 3d model of my mouth. I asked him 3 times why I cant get a routine cleaning and his answers where not professional they where in line with a salesman selling extra stuff your car doesn't need. The place is small the waiting room is claustrophobic, the staff is on board with the dentist to push unnecessary things in order to keep their jobs. Also next door is a Animal Shelter with paper thin walls between them, the sound of dogs barking and crying in a high pitch was annoying. They recently sent me a reminder letter to come back for an exam and a cleaning a 6 month reminder, remember they refused to clean my teeth. Also, I only read and speak in english and they sent the letter all in spanish to me. Go there if you have money and enjoy being a sucker. read more

It's unfortunate that the service here has declined. I was thrilled to see the Dr whom provided services for my family, but the employees and "supervisor" are a circus show - files being misplaced, too many staff behind the desk, and ineffective communication between themselves and clients. "Supervisor" is condesending and plain unprofessional. Individuals that have medi-cal will not be treated the same as those with other dental coverage. Qns such as your citizenship status will be asked, which by the way they are not federal peace officers to ask. We went to this dentist this past Thursday and had a truly terrible experience. From the front desk secratary to the dental assistants we dealt with (He introduced himself as Mike). "Mike" was unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. He continuously made rude comments, expressed a nasty attitude about coming in contact with us for no apparent reason, and responded to us with a very snarky attitude the entire time we were simply getting X-Rays done. I had simply tapped him to express discomfort while he aggressively poked at my teeth and was met with an aggressive response of "Don't touch me!". In addition the secretaries refused to provide their names to us and overall everyone we encountered here should not be working in the medical field. read more

Let me start by saying I am terrified of going to the dentist and have also neglected it for a looong time. I picked this office at random from a list provided by my insurance, at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, scared and in bad pain. They got me in by 8am the next morning and got my pain reduced significantly. Today I went back for my extraction just as terrified and they took awesome care of me without causing any unnecessary pain at all. Dr and entire staff are friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable by simply helping me instead of tooth-shaming me for the work I need done. My husband had a cleaning. Beware they charged him over $2000 for a scaling root planing, laser which all he should have paid is $210.00. The laser and irrigation is covered by the insurance. I tried to talk to the manager Mike Lopez who is never in. They will try and change ada codes to their benefit. While I was sitting in there trying to get this resolved another patient approached me, as they charged her over $1000 for her cleaning. She also had delta insurance but the ppo which covers more of treatment fees. She was also ripped off. She exchanged numbers with me and I will help her file a grievance against this shady office. Came here after coming across in a list of dentist from my insurance and decided to give it a try as there were no reviews online stating any displease from any patients. To cut to the chase, they were charging me $2000.00 AFTER insurance coverage!! Really?! This rang a bell considering I try to take care of my teeth well. In disbelief I decided to go to a dentist where my friend used to work for a consultation, just to see what I really needed done, as this dentist was fabulous before but wasn't included in my network :( Turns out that everything I had to pay out of pocket (WITHOUT insurance) at this dental office was $450!! What ticked my husband and I off the most was that the billing lady didn't bother to explain what exactly they were charging us for even after we asked and insisted for a break down since we have insurance, she just continued to state that our insurance was more of a "discount" insurance. As someone that has had nothing but absolutely horrible experiences with previous dentists, I can truly say that Dr. Grigoryan and Dr. Ammar are wonderful and have made me not dread going to the dentist anymore. After adsuring me that I would be okay, I finally let Dr. Grigoryan pull a molar while I was awake, that was causing me incredible pain and I felt a little pressure and it was out! I was so amazed with how little I felt, that I completely forgot how much pain I was in from that damn tooth to begin with!!
