I just left my appointment with a dental hygienist named Teresa. She was super considerate, informative and kind. She actually took the time to ask me questions before starting my cleaning. I have pretty sensitive teeth so I'm not too fond of the ultrasonic water scaling and didn't know hand scaling was even an option but she asked and I took that route. It's the first time I walk out of the dentist with absolutely no pain or discomfort. Teresa also went out of her way to take a picture of a tooth that might need some preventative care which I appreciated. Terrible service and extremely unprofessional experience. Mari, in particular, was incredibly rude and dismissive. If you're thinking about getting braces, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else this place is not worth your time or money. They tried to scam my girlfriend by refusing to check her braces' progress unless she agreed to pay for a "deep cleaning" that cost $600 -- even though she had just had a regular cleaning a month ago with her own dentist. Completely unacceptable. We even overheard Mari asking if it was her, then telling the front desk to make her wait 30 minutes past her appointment time -- so unprofessional. To make things worse, most of the assistants seemed new and untrained, causing a lot of unnecessary pain and discomfort during a simple band replacement. To Mari directly: I've never met someone so rude and unprofessional in a customer-facing role. I don't usually wish for anyone to lose their job, but honestly, your behavior makes me wonder how you're still in that position. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years, I was so nervous. I read the reviews and it really gave me hope! I had an emergent type situation and even though they were very very busy they still squeezed me in. The office is warm, clean and inviting. And every single person from reception to the oral surgeon I saw was so friendly and comforting. Brenda was my dental hygienist and she was an angel, she was comforting, professional, informative and made me feel very comfortable even though I was very very anxious. 10/10 read more

My husband and I visited this office on October 14, 2024. Our appointments were for noon but they were thankfully able to see us an hour earlier. This was our first time visiting and our first impression was that the dental office is quite spacious, very organized and overall one of the best in comparison to the many we've been to. The ladies in the front office are super kind, beautiful smiles, and they gave my husband and I such a warm welcome upon entering the office. My hubby and I had a filling breakfast before we arrived and if we had not done that we would've helped ourselves to a cup of coffee from the self-service Starbucks machine in the waiting room...the waiting room was impeccably clean! Cleanliness is so important to us in general but even more so at a dental office because it's a business where people are all up and through your mouth and I can't have any questionable hands in there. The dental hygienist that assisted me, Leilani, I believe her name was had such a welcoming disposition just like the ladies in the front office. She was just amazing and so informative. She gave me an unexpected tour of the dental office and everyone was seriously too kind, I loved it. I observed her thoroughly washing her hands before and after doing many things. Leilani had that 20 second proper handwashing rule on point! The set up was so relaxing. The dentist was very kind, informative, patient and continued to ask me for feedback as he discussed my dental needs. I finished before my husband and went to sit with him while they explained to him what he needed. His hygienist was also kind and informative and just amazing! We both received dental goodie bags from her and that's always a good thing especially when you can sample recommended products. Lastly, the young lady that explained our dental needs and coverage was also super amazing. We appreciated the details and being made well aware of what was to happen moving forward with both my husband and I. The last dental office that my family and I went to for almost ten years in Rancho Cucamonga could not even try to compare to this amazing dental office and staff! I had a horrible experience at my last dental office that wasn't properly rectified and basically shunned me from visiting a dentist for well over a year. I took my daughter here for some fillings, she was really nervous from other experiences. She had got a x-ray about 2 weeks before the appointment. They were very welcoming to make adjustments and told me I could come back as many times as necessary until it fit perfectly. I've been going to Sierra dental a long time with my family. We loved it and thought all was fair and reasonable. We went to our first appointment when they moved to Sierra lakes and Mango. They had new staff and I was a bit surprised at what I heard. We all needed far more work than our last 6 month appointments. We keep up with our cleaning and work in our mouths. I felt as if they were making things up to make money. It sucks! I really like them. I've dealt with sketchy dentists all my life and was happy to find a decent one at Sierra dental, but I had a bad experience at Smile Studio, formally known as Sierra dental. read more

This is a follow up update. My insurance company got back to Sierra Dental Group, and part of my consultation fee for the root canal specialist was covered, which is a huge relief for me. An admin who worked at Sierra Dental Group initially told me that the consultation fee would not be covered, but it seems like this was not the case. I waited several weeks for the reimbursement which was applied as credit for a filling replacement. My opinion of this place is still mixed. Each time I visit, I feel like I'm being told different things by the admins, and there was a lot of miscommunication during my appointments. On one occasion, my appointment was just a follow up appointment, but the admin thought it was for a filling, and then, after the appointment, I wasn't informed that my next appointment would be for a replacement filling. I wasn't shown the initial x-rays that my dentist took, so I had no idea what filling in my teeth they were referring to. After confiding to the admins about my confusion, they brought me to the dentist, who clarified the issue saying that he didn't inform me about it yet because it wasn't the focus point of the appointment yet. However, he showed me the x-rays as proof, which was reassuring for me. I got my filling replaced today, and it was a 30 minute appointment. Again, my opinion is still mixed, but I had a bit more positive experience compared to my first few visits. My point still stands to be cautious of professional advice. read more

I was there to hold her hand through a very scary procedure. You relaxed her and took your time, it was amazing!! And you fixed her beautiful smile so now she's ready for her ballet recital... I so appreciate you squeezing us in, even offering to stay open after closing because you were booked up solid, thankfully there was a cancellation :) but you turned a hysterical Mom into an adoring fan for life!!! Aria is now all smiles!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Now we know dentist visits shouldn't be separate and alone and scary and ugly. Side note- the prices here are amazingly affordable, much less than anywhere else I was quoted, and they bent over backwards to help in our emergency situation when no one else was able to, so I would have gladly paid double, but I'm glad I didn't have to. Exceptional service from start to finish. Came in for a quick root canal, an appointment was set immediately due to ongoing pain. Treatment was top notch, everyone at the office made you feel welcomed and comfortable. 2 weeks later had my permanent crown installed , same consistent service. My experience here hasn't been the most pleasant one. When I decided to go ahead and get braces I was told by Vanessa that my insurance would cover not all but part of the bill. I was so happy I recommended a coworker who also needed braces. We both got braces around the same time only to find out days later that our insurance didn't cover anything when it came to braces. We were both stuck with a bill of around $750. Had I known I had to pay this out of pocket I would have waited just a bit longer. I've been seeing the ortho now for about 3 years off and on because the wait is extremely long sometimes, I've had to simply reschedule. The ortho is another thing...I think I've see about 5-6 different Drs. It seems like they always have someone new. If it wasn't because I already paid for my braces in full I probably would go elsewhere. read more

I visit this place twice a year, never had a problem. I come in and get my semi-annual X-Rays and cleaning (Never had a cavity so no other work is needed). From the time I walk in, I'm greeted; take a seat and a few minutes later I'm inside (Never had to wait over 10 minutes). As a whole, this staff is professional and friendly. The place still has that new building feeling(I think they been opened for 7 years or so). The Dental hygienist is awesome, she's always gentle with my teeth/gums (I've had some rough hands before). I had a 1:30pm appointment to get a new crown. I arrived on-time, signed in and completed the check-in procedures within five minutes of arrival. I waited 30 minuteds to be seen. Had to ask the receptionist about the delay to get some attention. I was told that there was an emergency walk-in. Their plan at that point was to take me to the back and wait until the doctor was available whick noone knew how long that wpuld be. I asked to speak to the office manager, but she was not in today. That was the final straw. I left without seeing the doctor. This was the 3rd time this has happend to me at this office. I reliaze that things do happen, but I feel it was very rude and disrespectful to have me waiting and not at least giving me the common courtesy and informing me that there would be a delay, especially since the office called me and had me to move the my appoinment up 1.5 hours earlier. As they say, "three strikes and you are out". I think I am out!!! I feel that I have been treated like a second class patient whose feeling and time are insignificant. Going to the Dentist is like watching the scariest movie of all time. I literally dread the dentist. The smell, the sound, the taste of the instraments, and the hands in my mouth. It's just something as a child I was never a fan of and as an adult nothing has changed. Although, Sierra Dental Group has been the light in the scary dental darkness for me. The entire office is amazing from top to bottom. Very modern with technology but very traditional in the family sense. They learn your name and appreciate your service. Honestly, if it wasn't for the doctor and the staff my mouth would be a mess becuase I'd never go. The only downfall is you pay the cost of the area being Sierra Lakes. They are a bit costly but there's a secret behind them, they have another office that is more fairly prices and is the same exact staff, Citrus Dental Group! This is the best dentist's office I have ever been to. The inside is modern and spotless, with hardwood floors and flat-screen televisions in every chair. There is no must or formaldehyde smell that is so typical of older practices. Their equipment appears to be high-tech. The dentist has an impressive resume and has always been very open to any questions I've had. He seems like he wants to take his time and be thorough. Same goes for the orthodontist, who, despite having been in the field longer than I have been alive, is very up to date. The staff consists entirely of cute women who are exceedingly friendly and warm. They've got a good mix of humor and efficiency. A telling example of their attitude, and the reason I took the time to write them a good review, came today when I was worried about a tooth that was giving me a little trouble. Rather than telling me to pop some Advil and see them in two weeks, they asked if I could come in the same day. When I got there, it was obvious that they were busy, but they still fit me in. I love this dental office and have been a patient here since 2010. The staff here are the best and are pleasant. I actually enjoy going to my dental appointments because the staff here take care of me. Dr. Ra is a wonderful dentist and very friendly. Their dental hygienist is the best and super gentle. I wish she can clean my teeth every day! The office is modern and clean and does not have the usual nasty smell which most older dental offices have. Their equipment is modern and I love the fact that each chair has its own flat screen t.v. so you can watch whatever you please. I will not go to any other dental office. By the way, this dental office only accepts PPO dental insurance. If you need to pay out of pocket, they do offer payment plans which is convenient.
