I am very dissatisfied with my overall experience with RadNet Imaging. I originally scheduled my MRI at the Montebello location for July 29 at 10:30 AM. However, due to a power outage, I received a last-minute call informing me that my appointment had to be moved to the Pasadena location. This was extremely inconvenient for me. The Pasadena location is much farther from where I live, and it took me almost an hour to drive there. In addition, my appointment was scheduled for around 6:30 PM or later. I arrived early and noticed that there were no other patients waiting, so I did not understand why my appointment had to be scheduled so late. I had previously asked whether an earlier appointment was available and was told that there was none. I completed my MRI. Before leaving, I specifically asked the staff at the front desk how long it would take for the report to be completed, and I was told approximately 7-10 business days. It has now been two weeks, and my report is still not available. My specialist has already requested that the report be expedited, but there has still been no response or result. I have also personally called to follow up, without any satisfactory resolution. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the scheduling, the inconvenience of being transferred to a much farther location, and especially the delay in receiving my MRI report. Medical imaging results are important for patients who are waiting for their doctors to determine the next step in their treatment. I expected better communication, efficiency, and follow-up from RadNet Imaging. read more

I'LL NEVER GET AN MRI AT THIS PLACE AGAIN ===================================== My ortho's office referred me to this place for an MRI after we decided getting MRI's at hospitals can be quite expensive. I've had many MRI's in my life for numerous reasons. I should have searched for an Open MRI place, but thought the Xanax would help. There were issues that Xanax didn't help at all as follows: 1) Confusing information about appointment time via text. They gave me three different times. I needed sedation, so if a person is getting a ride just let them take it at home. Got there early, took pill and I think I was getting rushed in twenty minutes later. 2) You have to pay when you get there. I don't like cheap places like that. I have insurance and I don't want to pay more than the contracted amount. They won't do the MRI without payment in advance. 3) Andre, the technician I had, was not very nice. It was a race to get me in that machine. I barely had time to get the ear plugs in the my ears before he shot me in the machine. In the past, technicians I've had would talk to me during the MRI and let me know it was almost over. He did not offer to help me up or walk me out. 4) This MRI machine was the smallest one I have ever been inside in my life. The pill barely helped. I could feel the machine touching both my arms and my face was practically touching the top. I shut my eyes immediately or I would have freaked out I am sure. 5) They say it takes two weeks to get a report. That is ridiculous. I'll be calling my ortho today about that. I had a very pleasant experience with this imaging center. I was able to get an appointment within a couple weeks at my desired time. The system was relatively easy and lots of updates, reminders, and confirmation. I scrambled after work and arrived at 6:25 for my 6:20 appointment. The gals up front were efficient and the check in process was a breeze. I was seen immediately. The place is no frills but has everything you need- the employees are cordial and warm enough but it's also not a spa (although I really appreciated the warm blanket). I was helped into the MRI and accommodated well. It was quick and easy and then I walked out at 7 pm! To me efficiency and convenience is priority. I don't mind the parking system as I'd used it before and the app was set up so it automatically charged me without any hassle. Would return here again! read more

Terrible! I've been sitting in the waiting room for almost an hour watching people come and go. I went up to the front desk to check on my status...three different girls are completely baffled looking around and asking if I had checked in...of course I checked in forty five minutes ago. The girl literally digs through the trash for the previous page of sign ins and tells me I never signed in...I can clearly see my name on the page and point it out to her and again met with baffled confusion. I was then told they'd let the tech who does the Dexa scans know I was there...OMG I've been here for almost an hour now!No apologies or an explanation of what happened. The mri tech who "helped" me was terrible. After waiting for 2 hours for her to read a manual about my implant I left without a mRI on my Neck. When I got there it seemed clear she did not want to do my mri. First she said I couldn't have one until I had an xray that proved that the back stimulator that I had was removed 4 years ago. What??? "You see it was removed." Her: "they may have left leads in there." Huh? Then she comes back and said she misspoke about that but she still couldn't do the mri because she read that the implant in my lower back disqualified me. Um incorrect. I had called the manufacturer Axonics before the MRI just to confirm what I already knew, I can have an MRI. She then showed me a paper with circle around a persons neck, hip and knee and she said, "you can't have a mri in those three spots." Totally nonsensical. I argued with her for 3 mins but it was clear she had no idea what she was talking about and I did not want to risk her doing my MRI. read more

Unfortunately, my most recent experience with a technician named Christine was very disappointing. From the start, she seemed irritated. I requested a pillow for my head because I cannot lie flat due to spinal issues, which is a basic accommodation for many patients. When I politely asked for an extra pillow to better support my neck, she responded curtly with, "Do you want to go forward or reschedule?" That kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially in a setting where people come in dealing with pain, medical concerns, and vulnerability. These imaging tests are not cheap or casual--they're prescribed for serious conditions. It's disheartening when a healthcare professional lacks basic compassion. Christine clearly seemed impatient not just with me but with the next patient as well. If you're going to work in healthcare, a little empathy goes a long way. I booked an MRI with contrast for my shoulder and waited three weeks for the appointment. The day before, I got a call saying they had scheduled it incorrectly according to their "protocol," they also needed to do the scan without contrast, which they hadn't accounted for. Because of that, my appointment was now 10 minutes too short and had to be rescheduled. I offered to come in earlier to make up the time, but they said that wasn't possible. The next available appointment? Another three weeks out. It's incredibly frustrating that they would book something they claim they don't even have a protocol for and then do nothing about it for three weeks, only to cancel on me the day before. Now I'm stuck waiting even longer while dealing with shoulder pain that could have been addressed sooner. I had seen some bad reviews before booking and regret not taking them more seriously. I am in need of imaging to be done on the top knuckle of one of my middle fingers. This is very important to remember later on down this review. Both this facility and the company that identifies as RANDET are so horrible, I would not even reward them with a grade of F or zero stars. What a terrible operation this Imaging Specialists of Pasadena is. First and foremost the telephone booking process was a nightmare, took forever, and the schedulers don't listen to a word the patient says, read from a script, and are extremely pedantic. Initially, I went to another RADNET provider in Burbank.. Advanced Imaging Systems. The facility was sketchy and rundown. The attending technician was a very noisome personality, a young overbearing woman who catastrophized everything in her description of the procedure right down to telling me I would go permanently deaf if I didn't wear the ear plugs she was offering me. Then she wanted me to lock my personal belongings in a combination locker that was several rooms away from where the MRI was being conducted but only after TWICE asserting that she had the master code. I was not about to submit to this in a sparsely staffed facility at 9.00 in the evening. The place was dirty... really dirty. I got willies from the technician from the word go. I was NOT going to leave my personal affects in a dirty locker half way across the facility that could be opened at any time during my procedure. I was so uncomfortable I left before starting the procedure. Fast forward one week. I rescheduled and moved my appointment to this RADNET operation, Pasadena Imgaing Specialists, and had a friend come with me this time to hold my stuff. The physical plant is somewhat better but not by much. Still old, threadbare, worn down, and a little bit smelly. In fact, they sheets on the MRI bed smelled like rancid cologne from the previous patient. It was gross. The first attending technician summoned me to wait in a tiny little dressing room for almost ten minutes, despite leaving my keys and phone with the friend who drove me. I was not about to sit in there, I waited in the hallway quietly questioning why they called me in from the waiting room so early. Her bedside manner was terrible. She was a palpably stressed out overweight Gen Z with the social skills of a short-bus bully. I was not terribly fond of her but she was the hostess with the mostess compared to the technician in the MRI room who was yanking and pulling me around this way and that, had no idea what support pillow to put under where, and had the phyiscal patient handling skills of a baboon. I felt very badly handled and I didnt like it one damn bit. I have tendon dislocation in the tip of my middle finger, so you can imagine my surprise when they started to roll me all the way inside a tightly fitting sarcophogas. THE INJURY IS ON THE TIP OF MY FINGER, NOT MY ORGAN CAVITY OR SHOULDER OR HIP ETC... I thought they were just going to roll my arm in and the rest of me could stay outside. I saw no good reason why my entire 6 foot 175 pound person should be rolled deep inside that tube for a finger tip injury. When I voiced surprise about this, the other fat slovenly technician lost her temper with me and loudly snapped "DO YOU WANT THE PROCEDURE OR NOT?" With this kind of repeatedly poor treatment by three out of three technicans at two separate RADNET facilities I extremely quickly and with 100 percent resoluteness said "No I don't" and swiftly walked out to the lobby, collected my friend and got the hell out of there. To be fair, both front desk receptionists in both facilities were very nice but ALL of the evening technicians I had exposure to in both Burbank and Pasadena were horrid to the tenth power with awful personalities. My entire experience at these two locations and RADNET in general has been apalling. UPDATE: Scheduled an OPEN MRI at RADNET in Huntington Park. On my third attempt to get my needed medical procedure on the tip of my finger, it was FINALLY a success. RADNET needs to train the appointment line staff a whole hell of a lot better than they do. I should have been offerred an OPEN MRI for this injury in the first place. read more

My Doc saw me on Friday, Regal approved my referral on Monday and on Tuesday RadNet/Imaging Specialists called me. They had two openings that day! I took an appointment one hour after they called. Amazing, same day service! I have been to this location a few times in the last year or so for imaging and had ok service but this last appointment was good. I did have to wait about 30 minutes but the time went by quickly. One of the desk gals asked waiting patients if they would like a glass of water while they were waiting, she quickly obliged. When was the last time that happened to you in a medical office? The desk staff were polite and got the paperwork handled quickly. The MRI tech was polite and professional. There is generally a good vibe and good humor among all of the employees I encountered. This is a busy office yet it seems to run well now. My experience this time was better than in the past. The only problem with this visit has nothing to do with Imaging Specialists but with the parking. This building now uses Metropolis which is an awful parking system. You are forced to use it and you cannot pay with the swipe of a card or cash. Metropolis uses cameras and you must download an app or call them and go through a big hassle to pay. Metropolis has been sued and had to settle for millions for deceptive practices, overcharging, difficulty obtains refunds, big fines and now some sketchy parking company has a lot of your personal information. Just NO. The building should offer a better parking experience and so should the lot just down the street. read more

This is going to be a long review. It's my advice to BEG your primary care doctor or specialist not to refer you to these people. 1. Called for an MRI appointment 8 weeks ago. The calls go to a central number because they have several facilities. The young woman taking my call asked me the same questions over and over. Then she would giggle and apologize and ask again. I came to the conclusion that she was drunk or stoned. It took 25 minutes to make the appointment as she had to keep asking me the same things. 2. I never received a confirmation text so I called the day before my appointment and lo and behold- there was no appointment for me. I talked to another young woman who confirmed that the woman that usually sits next to her always acts drunk or stoned! She asked me to please complain because no one there believed her! When I talked to a supervisor about how disappointed I was, he said, "Oh I guess she needs more training." How about drug testing or firing!! Made a second appointment for 10 days later (soonest possible). 2. Got a text the morning of the second appointment that my appointment had been cancelled because "not enough techs showed up." Made a third appointment far from my house because the one nearest is never available. 3. FINALLY get to my appointment. I'm in the tube going through complete hell because of the noise. (This is my first MRI ever.) I work in construction and am used to loud noises. This was unbelievable and painful. I thought I was losing my mind. After 40 minutes, it stopped and they said through the speaker that they were ready to inject the dye. I then asked about the horrible noise. Silence for a few seconds...."ummm, sir, you do have earplugs in, right?" NO, NO ONE GAVE ME ANY. "Oh, the guy in charge of that is new, I guess he forgot." I completely lost it and screamed at everyone in the room when I got out of the machine. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to go over the results. I plan on telling him all this and how he should NEVER refer anyone here again. Now I am seeing my doctor a full 6 weeks after I should have. I may have prostate cancer or another terrible problem and this place has delayed my treatment. DO NOT GO HERE. NOTE: I see from the other reviews that others have gotten the drunk lady on the phone also. We are sincerely thinking of suing if their negligence has delayed treatment. read more

I've been on the phone for ONE HOUR trying to just make an appt for a sonogram. The first person I talked to sounded like she was drugged. She took forever to take my info, disconnecting me once. When I got her back, she continued her SLLLLLOOOOOWWWW line of questioning. After about 30 minutes, she put me on hold and another person came on the line, insisting we start over. That person put me on hold too. I had to hang up on her. I got a third person on the phone and asked for a supervisor. I was put on hold AGAIN. When the person came back, the supervisor was not available. So we tried AGAIN to make an appointment. I had to give the same information three times, including sending a photo of my referral three times. Insanity. No way to run a business. Especially a medical business when people calling in are anxious or sick or both about their conditions. read more

I don't know where to begin..Staff was great.. But this was unfortunately the most traumatizing experience of my life. I had a procedure done. The nurse was very nice, but the Dr was very heavy handed. I asked him to stop mid way because the pain was unbearable. He kept going. I screamed and cried non stop. I even said at one point, "this does not feel right" He kept going. Poking me with Novocain and not even waiting a few seconds for it to kick in. Afterwards I was supposed to be treated with gauze. That did not happen. I was bleeding all the way home and the rest of the day, I couldn't wait until I came out of this facility. read more

When you visit this facility double check that your insurance is covered and who will be billing you because Beverly Radiology Medical Group will try to double or triple bill you, your insurance or attorney. I keep getting bills in the mail for my one time visit to this facility back in May 2020. My auto accident attorney already paid them in January 2022, but they keep trying to bill me. The front office staff needs customer service training. They are very non-chalant and non engaging. Barely speak or look at you. I asked how long the wait. Without looking up she stated she didn't know, handed me a clipboard with forms to complete. After completing the forms I walked back to the reception desk only to have her tell me just leave it on the counter. No mam I will not leave my personal information on the counter. Uh HIPPA. Had my husband not needed the MRI that day I would have gone elsewhere. The Techs in the back area are great, very helpful and caring. The Front office staff not good at all. After taking off work and driving 45 minutes, I learned the technician had called out sick. No attempt was made to contact me and the front desk staff were to engrossed in their personal conversations and phones to offer an apology. On my second attempt, I learned that I didn't get the right information to prepare for the scan. An employee shared that they were having problems with communication and that their CT scanner was "old". And true to form, the front desk person was less than pleasant again (and even gave me a nasty look when I returned my forms). I love these guys. The people are pleasant, especially the technologists. They always have appointments available, even at 9:30 pm and on the weekends! They are fast, their machines are the best -- they take much less time to do tests than other places; sometimes as much as one fourth of the time! I've had dozens of scans in many facilities, but I always go to these guys if I can. All my (many) doctors like this company, and several actually recommend them. read more

But Marlo did everything she could to fit us in, she was kind and understanding during the whole time. She has good hand it was fast and painless finding my mom's vein. Chaos rules, as a line of aggrieved patients berates the staff with a variety of complaints. Having never experienced an MRI, I didn't know what to expect, and no one bothered to inform me of any of the details. I went to the ultrasound section of Imaging Specialists of Pasadena, and couldn't have been more pleased. Check in was a breeze (because I had checked in online last night), and I didn't have long to wait. The two ladies who did the ultrasound (I believe one was a student of the process) were friendly, accommodating, and made the whole process a pleasant one. I wanted to have my MRI done fast and they had an available spot, so even after reading all these negative reviews, I went ahead and had my MRI done. Nearly two MONTHS after, I still hadn't heard from my doctor about my results, so I had to call the imaging center and have them send it. Not sure if it got lost along the way or it was never sent but that is a fail on a pretty basic standard thing for an imaging center. I need an mri guided breast biopsy and few places perform this procedure. I received an authorization for this facility. When calling you need to enter your birthday, zip code, then press a number for the department you want. I pressed the correct number 6 for that procedure and heard the immediate auto-message to leave my name and number for a call back. I didn't receive a call back and called letter that day and the next day and got the same message. I called again and pressed the number for an mri 2 to see if I got a live person. I told the woman that answered what procedure I needed and she started taking my info anyway. She was trying to text me with a link so I could send a picture of my authorization but after 3 tries I didn't receive the text after she repeated my phone number which was correct. Then I went into 'limbo' and heard a message to press 2 if I called back after disconnection to speak to same person. I pressed 2 and was disconnected. I called back and went through the birthdate and zip info and pressed 2. A male answered and I inquired if I could speak to the woman I was talking to. He said that was difficult to do. So why do they give me that option??? When I told him what procedure I needed he said I called the wrong department. So why did the woman take all that info from me??? He said he'd transfer me to the correct department but I said I only wanted to be transferred if I could speak to someone not have to leave another message and never get a call back. He tried to reassure me and transferred me and someone answered after a quick hold. That person took my name and birthdate then asked what location I wanted. When I said Pasadena she asked California? I asked where she was...New York! She could not schedule for California so she transferred me back to the main number I called. I had to start at the beginning with birthdate and zip and pressed 2. The same man answered and I told him he transferred me to NY and he asked me to hold. Without telling me, he transferred me to 6 and I got the immediate message to leave my number for a call back. I guess he didn't want to hear my frustration again! I hung up after never getting called back, being asked and answered questions that ending up serving no purpose, being disconnected, transferred to NY, transferred back, getting no appointment and knowing my blood pressure was up! I hope someone listens to the recording for quality assurance!! I received another authorization for a further facility of another company and made an appointment later that day after one phone call. I was promised a call back if we were disconnected but it was not necessary. The distance doesn't matter for better service and peace of mind. read more

I asked this facility to make sure it's an open MRI. I have clastrophoic and I mentioned to the staff. I had to cover my eyes to walk into the room. I took Lorazpam before the appointment. The technician insisted me he doe not have a pillow to raise my neck because I have sleep apenea. The staff were not accomodating for a highl clastrophobic passion to have a smooth MRI experience, I decidied to leave the room. I had my first MRI with Imaging Specialists yesterday (cervical/neck spine). PROS: I didn't have to sit in the waiting room as long as some of the others. They took me even a bit earlier than my scheduled time for the MRI. The tech who ushered me to the closet-type area where I could store my stuff in a secure locker was nice, polite, and friendly. He said I could leave my clothes on since they had no metal. (I was concerned about sequins so he kindly tested one with a magnet.) The MRI was performed in one time period with no need to repeat shots. The tech walked me back to my locker and was nice. CONS I'm in pain today and believe it's the direct result of how this MRI was conducted. I only have 1 other MRI to compare with this experience - at Cedars Sinai for a fractured pelvis last year. Could be cleaner: At CS the rooms appeared clean and sterile (not at this place). Seeing me with a walker, the Cedars tech helped me put paper slippers on after I had the gown on and walked me to the MRI. Hurt myself getting in position on the MRI table: At Cedars, I was gently assisted by 2 techs who very carefully maneuvered me and covered me with a heavy blanket in the cold room. Here the tech let me struggle to get onto the cloth covered table and then kept saying: "Can you scoot up? More? More?") I mentioned that I have low back issues and a healing fractured pelvis which made it hard to slide backward easily. The cloth under me wasn't helping. He put a cushion under my legs for my back. At my request, he threw a light blanket over me and my toes stuck out. It all felt so rushed that I didn't ask him to cover my toes. I asked for earplugs (CS gives earplugs and headphones for music of your choice) and he said, "It won't be that loud!" WRONG! He gave me a ball to squeeze if I wanted to stop but I felt embarrassed to say that I was afraid of suffering hearing loss because of the noise. Today my back and neck are in pain. They didn't hurt before the MRI. Front Office: I had the same experience as the other Yelpers. I even had a voice mail that I'd been forced to leave by the automated answering service go unanswered - asking how long would this take because I was reserving transportation. Well, it's over! Dismal, seemingly continuing the thread of other reviews. Showed up early for MRI as instructed and room was full. Asked receptionist if my appt is still going to be on time. Nope, an hour late. The receptionist did apologize and was nice but unacceptable. read more

Take the reviews seriously on this place. The first time I came for an MRI they canceled it a few minutes before I arrived because of staffing issues. The second time the quality was so low my doctor said she couldn't use the images. The third time they were running over an hour and a half behind they might be easy to get into but there's a reason for that! read more
