I visited today for a Pilates & Yoga event that my gym Sk1ll has here weekly. Gizmo is located not…read morefar off Glenwood/70 in the Umstead industrial area. Easy parking, dog friendly and a nice relaxing environment. Ben was very helpful and a nice guy. I sampled a THC Beer called Delta Quench. I enjoy edibles on rare occasions, so this was something new for me to try for relaxation purposes. Very refreshing ! I also had the Ginger Beekeeper. Very light and deliciously refreshing after an intense Pilates/Yoga class. I plan to return and bring my dog to enjoy the patio and other new brews.

TLDR: Relaxing atmosphere. Albeit tricky to find. Flavorful brews available on draft or in take…read morehome cans. Indoor/outdoor seating. No food apart from packaged snacks and occasional food truck. Alcoholic and non alcoholic options offered. Reasonable prices. Dog friendly. My favorites: Netflix & Dill (Pickle Gose with Black Garlic), Deep Purple (Dragonfruit Ale), and Deep Blue (Blueberry Ale). Next time I'd try some of their blends, like Blue Dragon (1/2 deep purple and 1/2 deep blue). I didn't even realize there was a brewery over here until Gizmo hosted a paint your pet class (led by Victoria Lowry). The brewery is set back between Westgate, Ebenezer Church, and Glenwood. We never noticed it from the road and even with GPS were not confident on which building held the taproom. The class was inside, however, the outside beer garden looked nice with chairs and a TV playing the football game. The bartender was very patient and helpful. She allowed us all to taste several beers. If you like pickle juice then look no further than the Netflix & Dill. It was delicious. The inside is kept at a comfortable temperature and we enjoyed their music selection (classic rock, 90-2000s alternative). Overall, we enjoyed this brewery and recommend it to others!

I've had the pleasure of visiting Fortnight a few times in my life - which is saying something…read moreconsidering I've only been to the Raleigh area a few times. Still, I always seem to find myself at Fortnight. And their beer has always been delicious, with plenty of varieties to sip from either on a cold December day or a blazing hot spring afternoon. They also have a lovely beer garden and, at least when I've been there, a tasty food truck on site. Staff is friendly, with self-service ordering at the bar (the line can definitely get long sometimes). I gotta say, the beer isn't always as cold as I would hope it would be - could be I'm just used to a different beer temp vibe here in the PNW. One ale I recently tried I had to bring back to the counter as it was so warm I thought I'd accidentally been given a cask ale. Oddly, they weren't really apologetic about it and were happy to charge me for a different (colder) beer, even though I'd only taken a couple of sips from the ale. Not the biggest deal, but worth noting that you might want to ask for a sample before committing to a pint, if for no other reason than to verify it's being served at a temp you like.

Stopped by here recently and had an OK time…read more First, for parking, there was a primary lot as well as overflow parking. I went right after it opened so it was pretty empty during my visit, but there's a ton of seating (both indoor and outdoor!) and I can imagine it gets pretty busy at peak hours. I grabbed a 10 oz pour of the flagship IPA and hung out for a few minutes. Honestly, the beer was not my favorite (and didn't taste much like an IPA to me at least...) but I guess that's personal opinion :) The bartender was nice and the vibes were solid inside. Overall, there are a bunch of breweries in the Triangle, so I'm not sure I'd come back to this one as my first choice, but if a friend wanted to meet me here I wouldn't complain :)
