Possibly after 2 days... place was empty after I drove there and saw just how busy it actually wasn't after trying a human person. The phones were absolutely quiet. The charges were absorbent and to top it off they gave back my laptop bent up...I took a picture at thier table. It could have been reseated before but this is how they wanted to hand it back. Not only did they delete the data off of my non-working Mac (I was ensured it would be recovered) but they never ensured the data successfully transferred to an external data drive. They replaced my MacBook keyboard/trackpad that had gone fubar. Cheaper than getting a new MacBook. There was a minor hiccup with them "emailing me" to approve the service. I never got the email or possibly deleted it. I called to follow up after a week and they got things done swiftly. Hopefully they also call/text folks now too. My Macbook was failed to restart and data was not backup. They told me harddrive was damaged, and try to recover data but failed. They suggest me to replace a new harddrive and battery, which cost $500. Considering my mac has been using from 2015, I reject the suggetion. When I back to home and try to erase the harddrive, it is interesting that the harddrive still works. I install new system, and mac works very well. Very disappointment that seems they try to exaggerate the inssues, and I almost spend $500 for a harddrive replacement. read more

I've had great experience for both computers I've brought here. The staff is really nice and helpful. They're very transparent and stick to the repair quote they give you, even if it has to be sent off to Apple. They take the time to explain what's wrong and what needs to be repaired. I would definitely use them again in the future. In the last instance they advocated on my behalf (without me even having to ask) when Apple didn't correctly repair my computer and Apple tried to charge me twice. read more

Seems to be the main 3rd party Apple-Authorized Service Provider for the RDU area. It's certainly the only one I could find on the actual Apple website. I knew my machine was too old for the two Apple Store Genius Bars to care about, so I took it here. It spent a while in the shop, but everyone couldn't have been more professional or delightful to deal with, whether in person or on the phone. I needed a mildly expensive repair (PSU, one fan, and labor) but I thought it was worth it and my ancient iMac runs very well today! They said they actually ordered and got a power supply for my machine from Apple even though it's way past when that is normally available! (2009 machine and now it's 2016 ... they said they weren't sure it would happen, but it did) So I think these guys work exactly as advertised and are smart and capable folks. read more

I went to TenPlus Systems for an evaluation of my iPhone 8+ that wouldn't charge but at a special angle. They charged me $32 just to look at it. After literally a minute or two of diagnostics, they deemed it unsalvagable and in need of a full, brand new, $400 replacement on top of the $32 i already paid. Convinced there was another way, I called the Triangle Cellular Repair location down the road to see what they could do. Word for word, the TCR employee said, "Not a problem at all. Come on over." Within an hour, I had a brand new, replaced charging port working at 100%. It cost $85 with tax for the entire "procedure," and the staff was friendly, efficient, honest, and seemed to have my best interest in mind even though I was a stranger. I would even go as far as to recommend TCR before the Apple Store, given that Apple and all of its "certified associates" are sales fronts and would rather charge you for a replacement than help you fix your phone. The employees of TenPlus Systems were kind and the man at the desk, Matt, I believe, seemed extremely knowledgeable as I watched him help other customers. I would recommend them only under the circumstances that Apple is over-booked and you want to hear whatever Apple would say, at a different Raleigh location. read more

I recently had my first experience with TenPlus Systems, and it went incredibly well. My MacBook Pro died on me suddenly. I made an appointment to have it serviced through Apple's website and was in turn directed to TenPlus. I dropped off the Mac on June 2nd and was told I would receive a call from their tech within two business days. It wound up being three days, but it was no problem for me. The tech, Justin, explained that I needed a new logic board and that he had ordered one through Apple. He wasn't able to give me an ETA for the new part, but assured that once it had shipped, it would arrive quickly, and the repair would be completed just as fast. Justin spoke with me for a good ten minutes, patiently and clearly answering each of my questions. My Mac was repaired (at no cost to me as it was covered up Apple Care) and ready to be picked up on June 11th, roughly seven business days. read more

As a business, I think they're being clever by having a fixed price to take a look at your technological devices and don't get me wrong - the staff is SUPER nice. However, obviously us as individuals don't really appreciate having to pay $60 simply to get them to take a look... Nonetheless, here's a brief summary of my experience. Once I paid the $60, I left my device for inspection and got a call 3-4 days later stating my total cost would be $400+$60 fixed and it wouldn't even be completely fixed. They mentioned I would have to deal with a green crack straight down the center of my screen (although that wasn't there before?)...So anyhow, I decided against it and figured I could buy a better functioning, and higher quality product in the same price instead. I made my decision clear over the phone telling them exactly when I would be picking up the device in initial condition only for me to arrive in-person and wait for almost an hour to have them disassemble my laptop. So yeah...I was frustrated at what seemed to be either a lack of listening skills or organization, but either way - no matter what it was, I certainly wasn't impressed with this service. Personally, it wasn't even worth the down-payment money, or the wait but eh. Who knows - different person, different device, maybe a better experience? I'm not going back to find out. read more

The repair was fine however I brought my computer here to get fixed as they advertised prices lower than Apple. After the $50 diagnostic fee required, they quoted me a fee $100 higher than Apple and sent my computer directly to Apple to fix. What was the point of going through them?! I should have just gone straight to the Apple store. They also took 2 weeks longer than the time Apple quoted me. Ended up still getting it fixed by them since at that point I was already out my $50. I just don't believe the staff was very forthright with their process and was not the most polite when I voiced my confusion. Lesson learned though and I will do more research next time before signing on the dotted line! read more

Apple sent me to TenPlus for diagnostics since we are in the mist of a COVID shutdown. They were VERY professional and I explained everything I had done to fix this myself. Justin was my technician who diagnosed a severe failure with some hardware component..I'm not tech savvy so that's what I understood lol It was going to be a lot of money to fix and he suggested I call Apple one more time to see what they would be willing to do for me. Shout out for Lizzy B. who was incredibly helpful. You have a Mac, check them out. We took our 2010 desktop to the Apple store and they missed it was a graphics card issue. Lizzy was the one who suggested I contact Apple for a reimbursement. At the moment, it looks like it is happening. Hubs had done some upgrades and was disappointed because it wasn't worth the cost to replace the card. Lizzy suggested putting on Ebay or Craig's List and told me exactly what I should do. The first person at the Apple store had also given bad advice and I thought my laptop was going to be a loss as well. Luckily, the other Apple person was able to save it. I am grateful to know that they are here for any further issues we have. I am sorry I did not know about them when the hard drive died on the laptop because now I wonder if that was the issue. Amazing service. We visited Ten Plus when my girlfriend's laptop crashed, and we needed some crucial information for her art exhibit opening the next day. Brooks provided us with outstanding service, taking the hard drive from her mac and turning it into an external hard drive that we could access from another laptop. He also gave sound advice as to the importance of investing in a means of backing up information on a personal external hard drive. I had a great experience with TenPlus systems! My MacBook was not working and when speaking with Apple, they told me my only option was to factory reset it. TenPlus was able to fix the issue without losing any of my data for a minimal cost. I had a disappointing experience with TenPlus this week. My wife spilled wine on her Retina Macbook Pro, which caused a fuse on the logic board to blow and the backlight to go out. If you take that to the Apple Store, they immediately say "Liquid spill, logic board damage. All we can do is replace it for $1400." Ouch. But you don't NEED to replace the logic board; if you're comfortable working on them, you can repair the fuse, clean up any other corrosion, and get it working again. We took it to TenPlus and paid $55 for a diagnostic hoping they would do that. A few days later, we got a call back. They said "Liquid spill, logic board damage. All we can do is send it to Apple to replace it for $1400." I was super frustrated. We knew up front that it was logic board damage, so we paid $55 and waited a couple days for them to tell us nothing. If you don't repair logic boards, that's fine; it's a tricky job. Just say so up front when someone brings in an issue like that. Don't pocket the $55 and then send them straight back to Apple. Ugh. The other thing is, when I came back in, the tech I talked to told me "Yeah, the display doesn't work." When I said "Well, the display works, it's just the backlight that doesn't," he looked completely surprised. I felt like I understood the problem better than he did. Look, everyone here is very nice. If I had to get data off of a bad harddrive, or cracked the screen on my iPad, I might come back to these guys. But if you think you have real damage to the internals of your machine -- like if you spill something on it -- then I definitely wouldn't recommend it. read more

I had/have a 5+ year old MacBook Pro which was beginning to do some inexplicable things. As in "That can't happen." stuff. I knew I would be needing a new machine within the next 6-9 months until I'd be in the market. After a big glitch, I took my machine to TenPlus Systems for a diagnostic exam; the fee for this was, I felt was reasonable. After receiving the diagnostic results and considering the cost to "fix" the problems, I decided today was the day for a new machine. Low and behold even with the supply chain delays, they had in stock what I wanted. Within 5 hours, my data was transferred, a backup had taken place and I walked out with my new MacBook Pro 2020. On the heels of a not too surprising bad customer experience at the Apple Store, I ended up at TenPlus Systems for a repair to a IMac, and the bad taste I had in my mouth was quickly washed away by a staff that was attentive, knowledgeable and focused on going out of their way to ensure that I was satisfied with the result of the interaction. They took the time to understand the history of the problem, delve into ways that they could address it, and in the end came up with a creative solution to fix the computer. Going forward, I will always go to TenPlus Systems with issues to any of my Apple devices. While you may not be able to get a cinnamon bun at the mall food court during the ever too long wait to be serviced at the Apple Store, this will surely be made up for by the easy parking, no line, full service experience you will receive by the pros at TenPlus Systems. read more

Took iPhone 7 in for what turned out to be a firmware issue associated with hardware: I couldn't access my phone provider. Nick and Justin did great jobs of explaining their diagnostic process, pricing, and so on. Justin did a quick and efficient job of diagnosing and fixing the issue. However, after Justin returned my phone, I ran into an issue with restoring via backup, and he didn't return my phone call, not even a callback to me to tell me that I'd have to work directly with Apple communities or Apple itself to address the issue. A callback would've improved the customer experience. When the firmware failed to "stick", I returned my iPhone for diagnosis. Justin efficiently addressed the return to Apple for a new phone and provided a loaner phone. Again, great job with diagnostics and setting my expectations. However, at the 4-business-day-mark of the 3-5 business days promised to fix the issue, I did NOT get a callback with an update on progress: I called in to get that information. A callback would have improved the customer experience. I did, however, get a callback on the 7-business-day-mark. Now that I have my iPhone back, my personal productivity is back to normal. I hope no one goes through the experience I had with TenPlus; they are all about the sale, and have no integrity. On Fri, 6/21/19, I called Apple to see if my mid 2015 Macbook Pro qualified for the free battery recall replacement (due to the overheating and fire potential) because I was having problems with it getting so hot underneath that I had to put a towel on my lap below the laptop. Apple asked for my serial #, make & model. They confirmed it DID qualify for a free battery replacement, that I should not use it, and that I needed to sent it back to Apple right away. They allowed me to bring it to TenPlus (they were the closest to me) who would then ship it to them immediately for the repair. Apple then made the appt. with TenPlus for me to drop it off on Mon., 6/24. I explained to several employees that I depend upon this computer for my business and to please send it off immediately, as Apple was expecting it. I was told they would prepare it for shipping and send it off the latest, the next day. I called back on Wed., 6/26 to get the tracking #. I spoke with the manager, Brooks, who told me there had been "no movement" on the computer. I asked him what that meant, and he was very vague. I asked him if my computer was still in their store, and he would not give me an answer. He said he would have to call me back. When Brooks call me back, he stated the computer was in the store, and he didn't think it qualified for the free battery replacement. I explained that Apple set up this appt for me because they confirmed it did qualify, and I would send him two emails from Apple to that affect. He then said it would be sent out the next day for sure. I got the impression he was concerned that they would get billed by Apple for the repair. The next day came when I thought it had already been shipped out, when Justin called to say that they had contacted Apple by email and Apple said it was not covered under the free repair. They then tried to sell me a new battery at my expense. At that point, I told them I was coming to pick up the computer and would work with Apple directly, so I didn't have to deal with them any more. After getting off the phone, I contacted Apple again, and they confirmed that they had my entire conversation from 6/21 in the notes that documented it was covered for free battery replacement under the recall, and the reason TenPlus was given the information that it was not covered was because they had entered my serial # for the computer into the recall system more than once and the system thought that TenPlus already had the battery replaced under the recall (either that, or else TenPlus was just trying to sell me a battery on their own). Apple then called TenPlus, and spoke to a woman, to explain why they were told it was not covered, when if fact, it was, as long as TenPlus was not trying to get the battery replaced for a second time under the recall. In the end, the computer sat in their store for 3 days with "no movement" while my business could not operate. I picked up the computer in the afternoon of Wed., 6/26, and received a prepaid laptop shipping box from Apple at 9:25 am on Thurs., 6/27. Apple received it on the morning of Fri., 6/28, and completed the repair on the afternoon of the same day, and I received it back at Mon., 9:20 am on 6/29. The AppleCare Service Repair Summary stated the "Top Case with Battery was replaced". There was no cost to me for the repair or shipping. Apple was a delight to work with each and every time I called to confirm my laptop was covered under the recall. In summary, I had to deal with at least 5 different people at TenPlus, each with a different story, and endure various arguments. It was even difficult to find out if my laptop was still in their store or not after it sat there for 3 days with "no movement". They lost my business forever, and I am sharing this experience with other social media, friends, relatives, and anyone else. I wanted attach a copy of the Apple completed service summary reiterating what I described above, but it would let me attach anything. read more

At first, I went here becacuse it was a lot closer than the area Apple store (about 30-40 minutes away, in Southpoint Mall). After the wonderful service I received, I would definitely come back. You drop off your laptop and get it back in a few days. They honor your AppleCare warranty, but if you didn't have one, the repair costs are a lot less than at the Apple Store. Also, they service other brands, such as Xerox and IBM. read more

Walking in, both of the guys working went out of their way to help and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need.
