This is the best hair salon! Since I moved to NJ (almost 4 years ago) I have been searching endlessly for a salon that isn't too pricey, has superior customer service, highly skilled stylists, with a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Thank God I came across a Groupon for this place or else I probably would not have known about it! I have had my hair cut by Skylar, who is a phenomenal stylist! She listens to what you want and is highly skilled with the scissors. I have a love-hate relationship with my hair and when I went here for the first time, I felt so confident leaving with my new cut and blowout! I honestly felt that it was the best haircut I've had in a really long time! I have had my hair washed by both Kate and Dana. Both were friendly and kept light conversation. Dana assisted Skylar the day I got a color service and offered me a hand scrub for $7 which was desperately needed because of how dry and cracked my hands were from winter. I felt so pampered! I had not scheduled a blow out after my color service and Dana offered a complimentary one because she had some extra time! I liked that the focus was just on me and not several other clients at the same time, like salons I've been to in the past. Overall, the superior customer service, skill of my stylist (Skylar), and friendliness of staff have won me over! I have finally found my salon home! P.S. Words can not justify how amazing this salon is. Amy is the most talented hairdresser I have ever met. Not only does she give an amazing cut and color but she truly cares about the health of your hair. Her products have not only saved my hair from a lot of damage but she has managed to restore the quality of my hair after decades of highlights. She has an amazing gift and runs an amazing salon. I started to go to Imana a few months ago. The owner Amy cut my hair. I was extremely leery since I was a hairdresser for over 20 years some time back and never got out of cutting my own hair. I am in love with the way she cuts my hair. She is very talented and being a hairdresser I can tell she has a natural feel for how hair reacts to cutting. The studio has a very relaxed, friendly and pleasant feel and while many products are recommended you don't feel like they are being pushed on you. I recommend this place to everybody. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Completely Unprofessional Experience…read more My daughter had her senior prom on May 13, a once-in-a-lifetime event she had been looking forward to for months. She scheduled a hair appointment at this salon for 12:00 PM and we arrived early at 11:45 AM--only to find the salon completely closed. We waited until noon, assuming the stylist might just be running late, but no one showed up. We tried calling, texting, and messaging her through Instagram multiple times, but received absolutely no response. We waited until 12:45 PM--still nothing. At that point, we were left scrambling, trying to find a last-minute salon that could take a walk-in. Thankfully, we eventually found a place that was kind enough to help us on such short notice. But the stress, panic, and disappointment were overwhelming--especially on such an important day. What makes this worse is that this wasn't our first bad experience. Last year, the same stylist had my daughter wait 45 minutes after her scheduled appointment. We gave her the benefit of the doubt then, but clearly this is a pattern. To top it all off, the people in nearby businesses noticed our frustration and shared that this kind of behavior is common for her--apparently, many other clients have complained that she's frequently late or doesn't show up at all. Her usual excuse, we've learned, is a "medical emergency," but at this point, it sounds more like an excuse than an explanation. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and unreliable this place is. We are extremely disappointed and would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you value your time--and especially if you're booking for a special occasion--go elsewhere.
