A group of vindictive manchildren. When applying to this business for a job, a reply came on a Saturday afternoon requesting scheduling at an unfamiliar third party scheduling utility with a business name that was not listed on their application. As such, due to 90% of messages on my phone being spam, I initially replied negatively to this text message with a screen capture of a news article exposing numerous phishing scams using the aforementioned scheduling tool. Upon a reply and further information gathering, I apologized for my mistake, and explained the reasoning for my incorrect assumption. I submitted an appropriate time and awaited my interview. Upon the arranged time coming, the 'interviewer' was ten minutes late to start the meeting, and asked ME if I was able to be punctual. Asked me if I liked eating ass in Spanish, asked me if I identified as a woman first, before asking for my pronouns, despite my masculine voice and appearance being right in front of them on webcam. They then told me to eat a dick, and ended the interview prematurely. Don't give these guys business. read more

Apple Mac-book repair. Failed us in every respect. After nine weeks, returned and declared unrepairable. Motherboard gone. Only 18 months old. We took it in because lines began to appear on screen. Simple screen replace they said. Maybe they're right, "Apple computers aren't as good as their PC counterparts". Or, maybe iMechanic just can't fix them? Customer service non-existent. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I took my iPhone to have the cracked screen repaired, and after 2.5 hours and no other customers, the young man never fixed my phone. He claimed that the new screen he put on was faulty, so he said he put my old, cracked screen back on. I went in with a phone that worked perfectly (Just had a cracked screen) and left with a home button that wouldn't work and an unprepared cracked screen. No apologies, no nothing!! read more

I dropped off my iPhone over two weeks ago and didn't get it back until today in the exact same state as it was when I dropped it off. I had previously cracked my phone screen, and then dropped it in water. My lock screen popped up, but the screen itself was frozen. I took it to iMechanic, and they said since it had water in it they had to send it away to get the water out. I dropped it off on a Monday, and they said it would be done the following Monday. So, I called the following Monday and asked if it was finished and where they were at with the process, to which the man on the phone sounded confused and put me on hold for about 10 minutes. They said it was going through the "phone dryer" and a "cleaner" and should be done on Friday. Then, they tell us on Friday (after we called, again), that it was completely broken. They couldn't have said this (almost) two weeks prior, when they basically acted like my phone was almost done getting fixed? And I had to call them to learn this information? So, I have spent the whole weekend looking for a new phone, getting ready to order one today after I pick up my so-called broken phone and pay the $88 "drying" and "cleaning" fee. I pick up the phone, pay the fee, and see that the phone turns on. It was cracked the exact same way as before, and I could see the lock screen but it was frozen, like it was, two weeks prior. It was in the exact same state as before I even dropped it off. I have been without a phone for two weeks for absolutely no reason. I could have ordered a new phone two weeks ago or even gotten my phone fixed somewhere else. I have decided to send my iPhone somewhere else to be fixed, and put me out even more money. Maybe if this was an average screen break it would have been different, but they agreed to fix my wet phone and basically lied to me for two weeks about the whereabouts and the state that my phone was in. This has put me at such an inconvenience and is just unacceptable. Think twice about sending your phone here if it's something other or more than just a broken screen. read more

My wife and I brought in a fully functioning Apple iPod Touch 6th generation with a cracked screen to your Decatur, IL. location on 2/13/2019. We had not received a call after a couple of days, so stopped to check on it and was told it would be done in a couple of hours and they would call us. No call again, towards your end of the business day, so we called you. Was told it would be done and ready to pick up in 1/2 an hour or we could get $10 off to wait and pick it up the next day. We opted to pick it up the next day, guess what, a different person again and still not done. Was told again it will be done be done shortly and they would call. Again no phone call, so we stopped by the store again and awesome it is done, nope forgot the screen saver we had asked for when we first dropped it off. No problem, put on the screen saver and we are good to go. I mentioned the $10 off you offered and was told, sure it has already been taken off. We paid the bill, just ready to get out of your store, checked the bill later, guess again, no $10 off! No big deal we have our iPod back and done with the aggravation. No no, not yet, got it home and the camera will not work (my wife's favorite feature). Back to store, drop it off, same story, we will call. Give you three days, still no call. My wife goes back to your store and is told it is all ready to be shipped to Indianapolis to be soldered for the camera not working. This being set up without our knowledge and never even a phone call! Another customer comes in looking for her phone that has been sent off also and promised back weeks ago. My wife says wow, I have been through enough, give me my iPod and a refund. Which this different clerk, again, is happy to do and be done with us. Guess again, my wife turns on her iPod and now it has lines running up and done the screen, clerk tells her this is no big problem, it just was not snapped back together properly. He takes it for a quick fix, brings it back all fixed. Nope, lines still there, he says that it all because of a faulty new screen. Well guess where the screen came from and who put it in. That is right, you iMechanic... Now, we are both reasonable people and can communicate and understand things happen. But none of that was reflected on your side or even attempted. My wife takes really good care of her things and is also very understanding. She was heartbroken that she brought a fully functioning iPod with just a crack in the glass and now has a useless piece of equipment. She feels so bad and blames herself for bring it in to a scam and a scripted set of answers that are only delivered when returning to the store or calling. THIS PISSES ME OFF. Oh, it gets better. iMechanic calls us after the fact (never once called us about our repair) at our home phone number after your normal business because they are trying to put the refund through on their system. Said they found us, when my wife gave them our last name. Why wasn't this done while she was there? I took the iPod to a completely different repair facility (not another iMechanic, NO WAY), told them what was going on. His diagnoses, was yes he could solder, but there was a good chance with the lines running through it, that it was damaged and opening it up again might be enough that it would get worse or not work at all. read more
