I believe they are the ONLY facility in town that you can walk into and actually have a key fob programmed for a vehicle. But like the car dealers the rate is nearly $150 for less than 10 minutes of work. No thinking involved just plug in a machine type in model and make of car wait for machine to download and transfer data to the fob. You could download a mp3 in nearly the same amount of time. So, 1 star for actually having a walk in facility and the 1/2 star for having the ability to program key fobs. 1/2 star for only person in Springfield that will even attempt to program it besides one other mobile key lock out companies. read more

I have had a good experience with them in the past so they were my first choice when I needed a new battery. After they replaced my battery, when I turned on my car to leave, my check engine light was on and I had a warning that my EBS was inoperable. I assumed that changing the battery may have meant that my computer system needed a reset, so I went to the dealer. There, I learned: * that the tech broke open the battery cover which will require a costly repair. In retrospect, an employee told that they had some engineering issues which must have meant they didn't know how to get the cover open, so they pried it open with a screwdriver. * that he either did not reconnect the mass air flow sensor or didn't realize he had unplugged it (possibly during the process of breaking the battery cover?) This is why I had a check engine light. * that he did not tighten the negative battery terminal connection. So even the detail I'd expect them to be good at was overlooked. Discovery these issues and and fixing two of these three cost me an afternoon at the dealer and $139.63. I will probably not pay more to replace the part they broke so my car will have a nice rattle. This may have been an isolated incident but it impacts their reputation so I called to tell the manager and can only assume that I spoke to a manager. The response was a sheepish "sorry" but also "what do you want me to do?" It was odd, as if I was his supervisor and needed to train him on how to address problems. The fact that the manager did not take control of the situation and present solutions probably tells me more about the business than the workmanship, since problems start at the top. read more

Bought car battery there was 5 year warranty. Had it 1 year. Took it in on Saturday evening to be charged checked. Not enough time to fully check it. They closed on Sunday. Went back on Monday they couldn't find my battery, they lost it. They do nothing to replace my loss. I had to report them to better business bureau. BBB not doing anything either not reply my messages. They are crooks don't go there. Go to rexx battery. Read reviews to many bad ones. They not do good business practices. They are assholes. 280.00 purchase on a pre-owned phone and a little less than 30 days past the 90 day warranty both the wifi then shortly after ( within days ) the bluetooth went out and in addition to that the charging port would only take charge when the cord was facing a certain way ( an issue I ignored the entire time and to the last day I used the phone ) First contact back to the store was told it was a software issue (guy was rude and didn't offer any alternatives to the problem) Wiped the phone myself as directed by the guy who sold me the phone and it took forever being it had no wifi. Got all the updates installed and still no wifi or bluetooth. Final verdict it was in fact a bad wifi / bluetooth chip but being past the 90 days they wouldn't replace or even work with me on a discounted replacement. So in the end 280.00 for a phone that got me about four months of use and that is more or less useless now. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy pre-owned cell phones from Mr. Battery. Actually day of purchase thinking back the phone had just came in and IDK if it had actually gone through a full inspection/ testing. Seth provided terrible customer service first contact after the issue was discovered with a blank look and offering no alternatives to the problem other than " its a software issue, were not responsible" guy looked like he had a long night and had just woke up possible reason he didn't want to deal with me I guess .....Had to ask him three times when the tech would be in that sold me the phone and he avoided answering me for reasons unknown. Even called back later and he gave me the same run around about the tech and when he would be in. If you are in the market for a pre-owned cell I would seek out reputable sellers on places like eBay with high amounts of reviews that also offer extended warranties and avoid Mr. Battery. To add to that in the past I've had both a battery and screen replaced on a previous phone and both battery and screen needed a follow up visit. The battery was non OEM as I could clearly see when checking battery health in the settings by the cheap Chinese replacement not showing battery health % and that's after I was assured it would be an OEM battery. They did replace that after I returned although I kinda had to get in the ring with them and it was like pulling teeth. The screen issue I had was replaced with a cheap Chinese non OEM screen that was dim to the point it looked like the brightness was at 50% in the settings. Again after returning they replaced it with another screen that was brighter but had a white dot on it something faulty with the back light but I figured at least I could see the actual screen now and at the time I needed the phone for work and didn't want anymore run around so I dealt with it. I believe that they stock pile cheap replacement parts and it's a crap shoot for them on throwing them in the units and seeing if it gets brought back in for a issue or just playing out the 30 day warranty on parts and 90 day on pre-owned cells. Will not deal with them again and going forward being vocal to friend and family to avoid Mr. Battery read more

Went there for a screen replacement. Screen got fixed and it looked good. Got on a flight and when I got off the plane a noticed the outside of the screen was cracked on the top and bottom corners. Mind you, I have a screen protector on the phone as well. Fast forward to a week later and now none of my phone screen detects my fingers touching it. Would not recommend this place. I like to shop local and have used Mister Battery in past but this was the first experience having a screen repaired. I had my IPAD for over 5 years before cracking it. I took it in to get replaced. 12 days later it was cracked again. I did nothing to cause the damage. They were not the least bit helpful when I asked them about it. Just went to this store for the first time yesterday. Very unhappy with their customer service. I got a new battery and tempered glass screen protector for my iPhone. Shortly after I left the store, I accidentally dropped my phone and the screen shattered. I called mister battery to see if the tempered glass had any type of warranty or if I could get the screen replaced since it hadn't even lasted 24 hours. The employee very rudely told me there was nothing he could do and I needed to pay $90 if I wanted it fixed. Most other stores have a warranty on the tempered glass. I'm upset not only because the employer wasn't willing to work with me to solve this but also because he was so rude about it. I will not be giving them any more business. read more
