Showed up at opening (8am) , wasn't seen until 9 and has only been seen by a nurse. 9 month old baby was tested for the flu. I had the flu. When I arrived, I had to fill out a really long questionnaire on my phone and upload my ID and insurance cards which just stinks when you feel lousy. The reception staff didn't do much at all. The 2 TVs were blaring two different shows AND the staff were scrolling through reels on their phones. Too much chaos and noise in a lobby when you feel lousy. The Physician's Assistant was really really nice and professional. I would give her 5 stars for her knowledge and excellent care. However, her nurse had some really long nails that just kind of grossed me out when she was taking my vitals and giving me an inhaler. Nails inevitably have some nasty bacteria living under them unless you scrub them every wash with a brush and long colorful nails have no business in an urgent care setting. She didn't wear gloves, nor a mask and she never washed her hands or applied sanitizer in front of me. She asked me if I got the Covid shot and when I said no, she gave me a comment under her breath that the vaccines didn't work anyway. My husband ironically had the exact same things to say about her when he went in the day prior for the flu. I don't think politics, unscientific based beliefs, not poor hygiene have any business interfering in the service an urgent care provides to sick patients. I think a waiting room should make sick patients feel calmer and not overstimulated by auditory noise coming from multiple TVS and staff phones. This location is a mile from my house and brand new but based on my very first experience, I didn't get the impression anyone but the PA was very concerned about providing excellent patient-centered care. I don't think I would return unless I was very sick and desperate. read more

Five thumbs down for sure! I will not advise anyone to visit this location, please go somewhere else. Tammy, the old lady at the front desk, is the worst. The front desk staffs was quite rude and unwelcoming, especially Tammy. They refused to see my child because they do not have a partnership with my child's secondary insurance, they even declined to use my child's primary when I suggested that they can use the primary insurance, they said that it was against the policy since it had to do with invoicing and that they will only take two insurances, which is unheard of. Nonetheless, I am aware of my rights and am free to select just one insurance. Both my child and I are deaf, and they knew it from the beginning. Tammy talked and gestured while wearing her mask, and when I told her I couldn't understand her for the hundredth time, she finally wrote something down on a piece of paper and phoned her supervisor while she was on the phone with her supervisor a different front desk staff member decided to use the interpreter on video. The elderly woman must be insane because she is still there, and those people were clearly unqualified from the beginning. Our rights were initially violated from the beginning. Good riddance! I wish I had read the reviews before taking my kid there, so it makes sense why they only have 2.5 ratings, which says alot. I dug deeper on their "notice of non-discrimination" after checking at their rating, and I noticed that there were a lot of conflicts and that none of the procedures had been followed. They obviously need a lot training and learning. Just once more, good riddance! read more

Front desk a disaster. My doctor had to fax orders twice and when I arrived they couldn't find them. My blood test results were never reviewed. At my pre- op appt with my dr yesterday- the office said they were too busy to send the results. My drs office was persistent and finally received results. My pregnancy test was positive and 9 days after my appt I was never notified. I am 60! A positive pregnancy test is VERY abnormal for a 60 yr old. Surgery is cancelled as it is scheduled for this Friday and not enough time for follow up. " Brian" from front office called my dr.s office with complaint that the office manager was rude to his employee while trying to get my results 9 days after my appointment . I think my drs office had to be persistent to obtain my "abnormal" results 9 days after my appt. I left message for " Brian" for a follow up conversation and he has yet to return my call. The nurse practitioner and medical assistants very professional and competent . The front desk and whoever " Brian" is the reason for the bad review. read more

I made the apparent mistake of going to this facility 20 minutes before they closed. The receptionist was a little grouchy and rude, seemed to be rushing us, this wouldn't be a big deal seeing as how the medical professionals still went through with a proper exam. I had a bunch of cold symptoms, trouble breathing, and a fever. They diagnosed me with flu, bronchitis, and an ear infection. I asked for a note for work and they also told me I was getting prescriptions. Except when I got home, there was no note in my paperwork and no prescription called in. It's now the next morning and still no prescription. I called them to get it and had to leave a message. I guess they'll get back to me by the end of the day. So far, they're pretty incompetent so I don't have much hope. read more

Don't go! Got there at opening on day after Christmas. Front staff and nurse were nice. Had something that literally started late Christmas Eve and hit me hard Christmas day. Told the nurse the whole story. I just wanted to know if it was a bad allergy reaction to sleeping in a moldy basement room, or contagious before I decide to go to office and be around coworkers and person that is dealing with Chemo already. Said I'm surprised if I caught something so soon since I had just finished a z-pack and prednisone 2 weeks prior - thought I'd be super powered still. Doctor came in and said acute sinusitis before he even examined me. He is terse from the start. He asks me what was going on so I told him about late Christmas Eve started getting congested and by Christmas morning sneezing like 10 times in a row all day long, lots and lots of mucus and some yellow with blood, and so tired. I had been perfectly fine all day Christmas Eve. Demands, not a nice ask, demands, dates of prednisone and z-pack - still hasn't examined me yet. No calendar so I'm trying to think of dates and he gets mad/inpatient and demands a date again in a nasty tone of voice. Then he finally does some basic checks almost too quickly for a good view. Says I have no fever. Well, I saw the monitor the nurse had on and it said 99.6. I usually run 98.4, not 98.6. Minor, but something, so this Doctor lies, too. At least it tells me I shouldn't be around coworkers. Then he finally concludes its a virus and says he'll prescribe cough medicine with codeine. What? I never said I coughed, not even once. I just want the mucus making my throat sore and blowing my nose non-stop to clear, so he says use Sudafed. Then he pushes the codeine cough medicine again! If congestion starts to clear, I might start coughing then, but let me determine how bad that is and use an OTC first before something with codeine. My own Doctor would be open again if that doesn't cut it. Then as I leave he says I should have been better after the z-pack and prednisone - so he didn't listen to a single word I said! I was perfectly fine after that, of course, so I told him that again! I told him and the nurse it all started very late Christmas Eve. This is the day after Christmas. Doesn't listen, lies, and then a nasty tone of voice the entire time. Hope he enjoys being nasty with people that feel bad already. I won't be visiting there again. read more

Please do not take your children there. Our 10 year old daughter was seen there with stomach bug symptoms and the doctor made her cry. He was very rough, pushing her stomach and told us to take her to the emergency room because she might have a life threatening condition that her symptoms could be fatal. When I asked him what symptoms she was presenting for him to make this diagnosis, he told me 'get another opinion if you like -there is the door that will take you to your car'. We took her to the emergency room and the nurses and doctors there assure us that they were 1000% sure that our child did not have a fatal condition; she had gastroenteritis. The emergency room personnel at Frederick Hospital calm her down and were amazing. But still, this was a very traumatizing experience for our child. read more
