It was our first time. I got tickets for my boyfriend and his brother, while his brother is in town visiting. They did the Batman game. It was good for the age difference too, it kept my boyfriend engaged (30) and his younger brother (15) was super into it. They said they would definitely be back to try the other games. I unfortunately cannot participate because of a health condition but it looks like a lot of fun.

What a fun experience. Immersive Gamebox is a unique experience like nothing else you will find near it. You are put in a room that has projections on all 4 walls and wear a motion tracking hat that makes the whole space your play area. Then you play a series of games over the course of the next 30 min to an hour. The staff was super friendly and explained everything and was so enthusiastic it felt like they loved their job. It is reasonably priced for what it is too.

Wow! We had a great 10th birthday party here. It felt a little overwhelming to because it was busy and loud but once the kids got into the game rooms they had THE BEST time. The employees were so kind despite it being insane. I appreciate their patience with us.

Had a fun time with the family, going through the Angry Birds and Temple of Coins (Pac Man) interactive games, which took about an hour. We had such a good time and weren't ready to leave yet so we also added the Alien Aptitude Test which lasted an hour with four separate 15 minute sessions. Two adults and three kids (17, 13, 11) all had a great time and we'd recommend for others who are looking for something else to do as a family or group.

First of its kind for sure. I liked that they had us sign waivers electronically and would forward the fun, boomerang GIF of our group, taken at the end, to our emails. I was impressed by the wall that's touchable. The graphics all looked very real and well designed. Lighting is sufficient and the colors excite players! I'm not too sure about the hats, not that I'm a germaphobe, but maybe because of my height or my head shape, the hat doesn't stay on very well. For half of the game I was just holding the hat in my hands. It's the sensor that matters, right? Or perhaps the technology is still so new, the sensors aren't the most sensitive or react without lags - I'm sure that'll improve down the road. I like the team work/collaboration theme. You really do have to work together to reach some goals. Have a private game room all to yourselves is great. And I'm not gonna lie, the projected wall images make it great backgrounds for silly selfies and boomerangs. Overall I had a great time. You really need to get used to it. With the said learning curve, one thing I didn't care about is the wordy instructions at the beginning of each game. Graphic is what they do, so they should really just shoot an instructional video instead of making players read the long texts that never stick anyway, and inevitably waste some time at the beginning. This is purely a suggestion, not a complaint. I would recommend my friends to come have some private, group fun at Electric Gamebox!

SO MUCH FUN! I've been twice so far, and even though I've played the Alien Aptitude Game both times (the two groups I went with wanted to do it, so it was cool), I've had a blast. One of the cool things about Electric Gamebox is that it really does appeal to just about anyone. I've gone with friends who love gaming, and friends who hate gaming, but all of them had a blast. It's super interactive, really immersive (since you are surrounded by the games on the walls), and so much fun. I'm excited to try out another game, but I really have loved playing Alien Aptitude. The concept is funny, the mini games are easy to learn and still challenging, and there's something you catch on to each time you play. Not to mention the 80's soundtrack is raaaaaaaad. Also, their staff, particularly Garrett (who has helped us both times), was so helpful and friendly. He made really good recommendations of what game to play, and then how to play the mini games (still can't help but crouch down in certain games haha). Whenever we've needed something, Garrett quickly responded and knew what to do. Can't wait to try out more games!

I'm so so so glad I signed up for this yelp event! Our group had a fantastic time playing and unbeknownst to us we had no idea we chose the hardest game. Whoops! But our group had so much fun and we cannot wait to come back. The staff was super helpful and did a great job explaining how the game worked, how to order drinks, and how to call for help if needed. The rooms are private, very colorful, and spacious enough that we weren't bumping in to each other. Super great that you can have up to 6 players and that each hat has a color so that you know when your turn is up. Don't miss the chance to try this place out!

We had such a fun experience at Electric Gamebox last night! My crew had been to virtual reality venues before but wasn't sure what to expect from this more immersive experience. With VR, your arm and head movements become a part of the game, however, you mostly stay in one place in the room and you feel like you are completely transported. At Electric Gamebox, it's a completely different experience. Your entire body is part of the game. For some of the games, for example, your body becomes the cursor (think: pong) which you control by moving (sometimes running!) around the entire space. It's exercise! For other games, you touch the walls to select items. For the 3 of us in my crew it took some getting used to. For example, your instinct is to crouch or jump vs running forward/backward but (trust me, I tried) crouching doesn't do a damn thing. We chose the Alien Aptitude Test which I think is a great introductory game. Other options (like Psychedelic Mansion) look super fun but, as our amazing guide Garrett explained, you need to get the movement down before you try that one! The rooms you play in are somewhat small (about 12x12) and 3-4 people feels like the perfect number. While I think it would be fun with a group of 6, there are certain games where you would most definitely trip over and bump into each other...though, admittedly, that may be part of the fun. As of this writing (early June 2022), Electric Gamebox offers soft drinks for $2.75 each, which you can select while playing and they'll be delivered to your room. There are lockers in the main area for bags and jackets (which would be in the way in the game room!) but there is also a perfectly sized, protected shelf in the room for drinks and cell phones - because you're definitely going to want pics and videos! By late summer 2022, they should have their license to sell cocktails, which could make for an even more interesting experience. ;) While you can easily book your experience online, if it's your first time I would call to chat about which games are best for your group as some are definitely more advanced. B O T T O M L I N E: Go! This is nothing but a good time!

What an incredible way to spend a few hours! We decided to venture to this place with three kids ranging in age from 8 to 15. At first, I was skeptical that the gaming would be fun or keep their attention (or mine) but wow , was I pleasantly surprised! The five games we played in our own private game room (which was COVID friendly and an absolute must-have for or household) took the worry off of having to be indoors with strangers. The gaming concept: testing once agility, memory, etc. kept our nephews enthralled! I wish we had scheduled to play more than one-hour's worth of games. I could have played for another fire hours. Next time!! Also, the level of physical activity of these games made me feel like I was getting good body exercise, making my mind sharp and providing some quality time with the youngins. It was seriously such a fun experience. Three of us had a great time with the James Bunny casino game. It takes a little getting used to, but it's hilarious. And the music during the game was so good! We loved all of it. Garrett was working and he was super accommodating even though we hadn't booked online or used the discount. I would 10/10 recommend and go again. I think it could be great for a pair or huge group. Will definitely try to beat our score next time, and try some of the other rooms. Go. Now. Go Now. Go Now, bring your friends, family, or co workers, or all of them, and have a ball. I brought my 7 and 8 year old, and it's now our favorite place in Denver. The games are really easy to pick up, and it doesn't take long before you start feeling competitive. The games can focus on the group score, or the best individual score. Make sure to get there 10 minutes before your scheduled time to get oriented, you'll want as much time in the gamebox as possible. It's a blast! read more

It was easy to get an accessible ride pass, although one of our kids was disappointed with the lack of accessible rides in the waterpark. The biggest issue was that all of the food places in the park closed right at dinner time, starting at 5:30pm, with no warning. We ended up running around all over the park before finding the last place open, but they didn't have enough food left to serve our whole group.

I never thought I was a zoo person, but this completely changed my mind…read more I visited during the zoo's extended summer hours (Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m.--despite what Google Maps says!), and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. We practically had the zoo to ourselves! Google still lists the zoo as closing at 4 p.m. every day, and I don't think the zoo advertises these evening hours nearly enough. Going later in the day made the experience so much better. First, it was much cooler and more comfortable. Second, the animals were incredibly active because the heat had died down. And third, many of them were being fed their dinner near the viewing areas, so we got to watch them up close in a way you normally wouldn't. The staff and volunteers were another highlight. Everyone we talked to was friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited to answer questions and share stories about the animals. You can tell they're passionate about both the animals and the zoo's conservation efforts. I also learned how important it is to support AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited zoos. I came away really impressed by everything the Denver Zoo does for conservation, research, and animal care. If anything, I think they should do a better job of bragging about all the incredible work they're doing--it deserves more attention! One of my favorite moments was watching the tiger stroll across the overhead bridge directly above us. The elephants have a similar crossing, although they weren't using it while we were there. The habitats throughout the zoo were beautifully designed and created such an immersive, interactive experience. I can't recommend visiting during the extended summer hours enough. It felt like having a private zoo experience, and I'll absolutely be back!

What do you do with kids on an extra cold night? Let's go to the aquarium that we have yet to visit…read moredespite living in Denver for ages now. Due to the cold, no lines for tickets. Great indoor activity. Fairly empty inside. Perfect evening. Prices are steep for parking and admission. It's a one and done activity for us. But it was worth the experience! We spent almost two hours there, taking our time to admire and learn. We really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful sea creatures - all varieties of fish large and small, sharks, jellyfish, stingrays (which you can pet at the end), two random tigers (not expecting that at an aquarium), turtles, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc. Only negative from our outing was the guy in the ticket booth. We brought out of town friends with us and it was freezing outside. He could see that we had kids and were all super cold. It would've been kind if he had said we could just go inside and wait for the husbands to come in with the wrist bands. As it turns out we just ran inside anyway to wait for them, but not very good customer service.

Beginning a city here proved to be a poor choice as the waterways were prone to periodic flooding. The City shifted to the northeast and this area was ignored and filled up with heavy industrial users. A huge flood in 1965 destroyed much of that infrastructure and provided an opportunity for redevelopment. The Greenway Foundation was a prime mover in the 1970s to create a park highlighting this area. A major update in the 1990s focused on floodplain management and further enhanced the park as a hub for the regional trail system. Today this is a highlight of Lower Downtown. Shoemaker Plaza begins at the REI building and extends down to the north edge of the South Platte River. The main park area begins at the south edge of the River and covers both sides of Cherry Creek. The trail system runs through this and continues north, south, and east. This is a beautiful space and exists in its own world, apart from the bustle of Lower Downtown. It is well worth a visit.

We ended up packing everything up and going across street to Target to use restroom instead.

We did the 60-minute Ghostbusters game with 4 people (ages: 7, 11, 40, 43) and we ALL had an absolute blast. Kee was a great attendant and provided clarity on how to get things started and even helped us a bit when we were stuck on a part we didn't understand. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend this as a short activity during the day. 60-minutes doesn't seem that long but man, we were all jazzed and out of breath by the time we got out.
