Went to the Christmas event at Elitch and it was very amusing. The lights were nice to look at and even getting on rides there weren't long lines. Of course the food and drinks were expensive so if you could i recommend bringing treats.

Classic independent amusement parks need to be cherished and preserved. We had a great time at Elitch Gardens when we visited last Saturday. The Mindbender is an awesome coaster with intense speed and great inversions. The staff was friendly. I don't know how anyone can complain about the price especially for locals buying a season ticket. We didn't do the Waterpark but from a distance it looked pretty solid with at least a half dozen slides and wave pool. Sure some of the park could use a coat of fresh paint but at the end of the day it offers family friendly rides and plenty of thrills along with a decent size Waterpark all for one price. Plus we noticed rides like sling shot and XLR8R which are usually an upcharge at most parks were included with the ticket price, they can easily run you around $30-50 as a standalone ride so that's a value if you like extreme thrills. We really enjoyed the Kaleidoscope by Meow Wolf, while not nearly as detailed as an actual Meow Wolf, this psychedelic dark ride was a lot of fun. The giant wheel was solid as well. Sidewinder is one of only 3 such style coasters operating in the world was very unique. It's not a launch coaster in the modern sense but you start dropping directly into a loop only to come up on the other side and then back again in reverse. Serious g-force and deceptively fast! Overall I thought the park was the perfect size with all the classics for both kids and adults.

Very very run down theme park. Definitely one of the worst Ive ever been to and I love theme parks. Usually Denver has cooler things than in most areas but carnivals are better than this place. It needs to be torn down honestly. Went with my family and friends and we still made the best of it. Definitely will not go back here and don't recommend anyone else does either unless you get some kind of free tickets. But even then ai would still try to do something else safer

Growing up in Denver, I experienced Elitchs first, then the Six Flags edition, and eventually back to Elitchs. I have lots of memories here including: getting season passes and hanging out with friends in my high school days, bringing out of town visitors, and my first time having a funnel cake. Now as a parent, I'm able to enjoy the amusement park through my kids' eyes. And they really love it here! I find myself being a season pass holder again after 20 years... I feel grateful that this park still exists (despite many years of talk that it will be moving or closing soon). It brings vitality to the city and is always cool drive into downtown and see the rides in motion. I will agree that the workers seem so unhappy but I get that it's a monotonous job. We had trouble finding a single seat/chair available in the water park. That part was stressful and when my 2-year-old needed to nap, I had to hold him in my arms for over an hour (while my older kids went on rides). The Kiddie Land has several fun rides for their age, and the lines have been pretty short. They always want to take a go at the games which is where we spend the most money. Spent $45 to get a big Squirtle recently, but it's a guarantee win... Season passes include free parking and 15% off on food (which we didn't know, and the staff didn't ask us...).

We took our 2nd oldest granddaughter Hulali to her first thrill ride experience at Elitch Gardens & She was Super Excited! More than she ever was for Disney! We are so happy she had the Best 7th birthday experience here. Wait times were for us on our 2 days were 15min. to 30min. I recommend to do single riders if you don't mind splitting up & don't wanna spend the extra for a fast lane pass. The tower crane "Super Fly" or The "Slingshot" cage ball are cash or card upfront only.

It's crazy how this is right in the middle of downtown Denver. I've been here for 5 years and this was my first time going. It was so much fun! The roller coasters are legit. Not a slight hump but a brain musher. The same ticket gets you in the water park and the non-water park. It was definitely worth going

Unfortunately two of the three coasters I wanted to ride were closed. Twister 3 and Boomerang were closed. Mind eraser was decent. Rest of park for kids and spinny rides. Hand rolled pretzels at front were good.

Well, they need to stop lying to the social media. They were supposed to shoot off the fireworks at 9:15 PM by the post on Instagram and Facebook, but they decided to pop it off at 9 PM so that's a false advertisement.

Where are the water fill stations?

mostly in tbe water park but if you go to the places where you get pizza or beer you can refill water

I have heard food pricing is a little steep and there is no outside food or beverage, is there an option to leave the park, eat at your vehicle, then re-enter the park?

You can totally do that. Just get your hand stamped on the way out so you can get back in.

I want to attend a concert at Elich Garden in Denver. This is free the day of admission but I was wondering how I assure we see the show. Do they limit entry? Do we get passes in advance?

Hi Ramona, concerts are free with a Season Pass or daily admission ticket. The arena can hold about 9,000 people so we do not believe we will turn anyone away for the shows. Thanks! Please email info@elitchgardens.com if you have more questions!

It's kind of sad that no one is putting any love into this place, and hasn't in a long time. But, it's clearly very popular! We paid $5 to walk around, which is absolutely worth it for the nostalgia. You have the option to pay for unlimited rides or you can buy individual tickets for the rides you want. Since most of the rides would have made me vomit at this age, I was happy to pay $2.50 for a train ride around the lake. Jerry, the guy running the train, was fantastic! He really seems to love his job and his enthusiasm is contagious. I did think it was odd that on the list of rules as you line up to pay, it says no photos are allowed. BIZARRE. I guess they don't want any photos getting out of a ride that's about to break down? Clearly people were ignoring it, as who doesn't want photos of your kids having a blast on the rides! I have mixed feelings about this place. CLEARLY, people love the nostalgia. What bothers me is the lack of love behind it.

Tiny Town. A town that is tiny!…read more I'm so glad I read the reviews first so I knew what to expect. My daughter and I arrived around 11am and we decided to have a little picnic in the back of the car, which seemed easier than trying to carry stuff through TT until we reached the picnic tables. The scenery is so pretty here, which made our little trunk picnic even more special! My daughter is 5 and was probably JUST young enough to enjoy it. We rode the train first--a short but cute ride--and then made our way through the town. She loved checking out all of the buildings, as well as seeing how they were decorated inside. So many dolls and scenes! The playground is sparse and outdated, but of course we had to spend a little time there. Our only negative experience was with the woman working the register in the gift shop. We were buying something, and my daughter picked up a little trinket that you're supposed to turn over + watch the bubbles move. Instead of just asking her to put it down (again: it's for playing with! And it was right in front of her face!) she ripped it out of her hands. While this doesn't classify as touching someone else's kid, it was close enough for me. Overall, a 4-star experience! I'm glad we took the time to go.

They did have a tiger, which was definitely unexpected and cool to see. We also got a caricature done, which ended up being one of the best parts of the visit. A colored face-only drawing for two people was $30. It was listed as a 10-minute drawing, but it took closer to 30 minutes. The artist was really nice, though, and recommended we eat at the restaurant. we stopped at the gift shop and got some cute plushies before. Unfortunately, that's where the experience went downhill. We had a reservation and were seated around 6:20. We got Liz as our server. she was very sweet and one of the calmer servers on a busy night. otherwise service was very slow. We ordered the Herb-Roasted Salmon and the Coconut Shrimp. After waiting about 45 minutes, the manager came over to tell us they were out of the coconut shrimp and recommended the Shrimp Platter instead, so we went with that. The salmon tasted overly fishy, and the asparagus was undercooked, although the mashed potatoes were actually really good. As for the Shrimp Platter, the fried shrimp was mostly breading, the bacon-wrapped shrimp was just kind of strange, and the grilled shrimp was the only part we really enjoyed. The fries were good, but the beans and green beans weren't. It also took quite a while to get our check, and dinner ended up costing around $80. Overall, I'd skip the restaurant. The aquarium is worth checking out once, especially if you have young kids, but I probably wouldn't come back for another date night.

I never thought I was a zoo person, but this completely changed my mind…read more I visited during the zoo's extended summer hours (Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m.--despite what Google Maps says!), and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. We practically had the zoo to ourselves! Google still lists the zoo as closing at 4 p.m. every day, and I don't think the zoo advertises these evening hours nearly enough. Going later in the day made the experience so much better. First, it was much cooler and more comfortable. Second, the animals were incredibly active because the heat had died down. And third, many of them were being fed their dinner near the viewing areas, so we got to watch them up close in a way you normally wouldn't. The staff and volunteers were another highlight. Everyone we talked to was friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited to answer questions and share stories about the animals. You can tell they're passionate about both the animals and the zoo's conservation efforts. I also learned how important it is to support AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited zoos. I came away really impressed by everything the Denver Zoo does for conservation, research, and animal care. If anything, I think they should do a better job of bragging about all the incredible work they're doing--it deserves more attention! One of my favorite moments was watching the tiger stroll across the overhead bridge directly above us. The elephants have a similar crossing, although they weren't using it while we were there. The habitats throughout the zoo were beautifully designed and created such an immersive, interactive experience. I can't recommend visiting during the extended summer hours enough. Best Birthday Party Experience Ever -- for Kids and Adults…read more We hosted Stella's 4th birthday party at Bounce Empire, and it was hands down one of the coolest places we've ever had a party. What truly sets Bounce Empire apart is that it's not just for kids -- it actually considers the adults too. So many kids' birthday venues forget about the parents, but not here. There's a full bar, massage pods, a movie theater room with recliners to watch sports, chess tables, and a beautiful outdoor patio with mountain views. It felt more like a resort than a kids' party venue. And the bounce houses? Definitely not just for kids. All the adults had an absolute blast too. They even have DJs! We were there for an 11 a.m. party so we didn't get to experience the DJ that day, but I've been here before for a late-night adult girls' party and it's just as fun for adults as it is for kids. Now I have to talk about the event planner, Ariann -- because she truly made this experience unforgettable. As a mom of two, getting somewhere early to set up balloons, cups, decorations, food, cupcakes, candles... it's usually stressful and exhausting. This time? I didn't lift a single finger. Ariann handled everything. Setup, food, cupcakes, candles, décor, and even cleanup. I was able to just be present and actually enjoy my child's birthday party -- which honestly almost made me cry. That kind of care and support is priceless. We never felt rushed, the party flowed perfectly, and it was by far the most laid-back, fun, and stress-free birthday party we've ever had -- for our kid. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. Is it 100% worth it? Absolutely. I would recommend Bounce Empire to anyone looking for a birthday party that truly caters to everyone -- kids and adults.
