They have great prices and amazing vintage and antique items. This was one of the highlight stops in Wilmington area and when I visit again, I'll be back here! Tip: Take time when here and look carefully. There is a ton of items shoved into corners, on shelves and hiding behind leaning photos. It's a treasure hunt. Some items aren't necessarily vintage but a majority are vintage, handmade, or older.

We were origionally quoted 6-8 weeks but might be a bit longer due to backed up deer mounts. No phone calls or any communication from him for several months. I called and he told me that he hoped to have it done in a couple of weeks and that he was still waiting for my buddies turkey head to come back from the place he sent it to be freeze dried. I drove to the shop twice and watched him work on a mount for a road kill over working on my fish or my buddies turkey. Finally, when he did call almost a YEAR later we went down and asked about getting some sort of compensation for the super long wait. He got loud, defensive and dismissive with us. He demanded that we pay full price. We paid, collected our things and departed. I will NEVER be going back to Mounted Memories again as he made me feel that I was taken advantage of.

I got an 8 point buck late 22. I took it to uzelles wild game processing where I was referred to…read moreslick rock taxidermy who also happened to be there dropping off something. I spoke to him about mounting the buck and told him I wanted him to take the head and I'd give him a deposit for it. After they're done skinning it slick rock had left already.... Without the head. Uzelles said they would hold it for him until he could come pick it up. I got in touch with him the next day and he said he was going out to dinner the previous night to celebrate getting his first bear (the thing weighed less than my deer). Fast forward to about 18 months later and the mount is finally ready. Only problem is it's definitely not the deer I shot. Everyone who sees what I got and the pictures of me with the actual deer says the same thing. My guess is he never picked up the heads and it took so long because he was trying to find another 8 pointer he could pass off. It's real easy to see the difference. My deer was old. Look at all the white around his eyes and nose. The one he gave me was young. My deer had an injury on the top of his snout. The one he gave me doesn't. The neck on my deer was huge. His deer has a skinny neck. Even the rack is off if you look at his spread where his antlers emerged. The guy has no morals. I would avoid this place if I were you. $750 for a mount and you don't even get the deer you killed because the guy is not honest.
