Loved it here! I was in the area and was looking for new spots I hadn't been to. I found this tea spot. I'm so glad I did! If you're in the Woodstock area, I recommend checking this place out. They have tea, soap, snacks, tea towels, candles, etc. If you love tea like I do, you should stop by. They also offer tea tastings of their homemade elixirs, which were incredibly tasty; they're also available to purchase online. You can order a tea, elixir, chai, etc. and enjoy it while sitting in their indoor or outdoor seating area. I'm glad I found this place. The second you step foot in this place, you instantly feel relaxed, healthy, and at ease. They have a truly amazing selection of teas and ginger elixir. All you have to do is describe what you're looking for in terms of taste, richness, and level of caffeine, and you will instantly be served the perfect cup of tea. We stopped here several times on a recent trip and each time had a wonderful, relaxing experience. I'm willing to bet that most folks go for the 1 or 2 well-known chain spots for their "Chai". I was one of those folks until I saw the light and ditched those chemical-heavy, so-called "Chai". There's one Tea spot I always visit when I either stay in Woodstock for the weekend or come for the day- where a Chai is a Chai minus all those extremely difficult to read laboratory made-up names. Immune Schein Tea Haus though in rural Saugerties, NY just stepped in. I've driven by this same road countless of times in the past 20 or so years and seen a factory of some kind. Before I even saw 'Tea Haus', hubs had popped a U-ey. Eye-opener seeing that old factory gone and taken over by Immune Schein. Original high tin ceilings and metal piping factory look was kept. Yet the Tea nooks, locally made mugs, soaps, shelves filled with Chocolate in one corner, small leather bags on one side and other high-end accessories- softened all that metal work nicely. Their pièce de resistance has to be the truckload of black tin canisters filled with premium loose leaf tea. Devon(?) Devin(?) made a subtle whole milk Chocolate Chai that was every bit intense and also made a powerful Ginger+Turmeric Elixir Tea. But listen...service was pleasant and friendly. We love this shop SO much! The name is deceiving, as they actually sell significantly more than just tea. It's literally the perfect gift shop with an array of tastefully curated foods and drinks, and kitchen and home goods. The selection is incredible and so thoughtfully sourced. When the store was in Woodstock, they had an excellent variety of tea in various forms, including teabags. They also sold tea brewed in New York State. Now that the store has moved to Saugerties, it has lost its charm. There is definitely false advertisement to bring in tourists, as there was nowhere near 70 varieties of tea that they claim to sell. Additionally, they only sell teabags from brands based in Milwaukee and Seattle. If you want to support local business and tea brewed in New York State, I highly recommend Harney & Sons. Most, if not all establishments in Woodstock serve Harney & Sons. It's the only tea I will drink. read more

Immediately after walking through the door the first time, I experienced a terrific sense of well being. Just being in the shop felt good. The man behind the counter,his name was Devin I think, was very friendly and personable but most importantly, he was very knowledgeable about the ginger infused elixirs and other products in the store. After a couple of tastings we purchased a few bottles, and left. I've been back several times since and each time it feels like coming home. The selection of natural food and teas is top notch and that would be reason enough to shop there but the vibe makes it a Hudson Valley destination of the highest caliber. This is better than any meds, and the best for prevention of sickness. I haven't been in their store, but I stopped at their booth at the Coffee & Tea festival at the Culinary Institute and thought everything they offered was excellent. I'm always looking for ginger drinks to help with inflammation and digestion and everything they had was so good that I had to buy the sample pack to bring home. I do wish they were closer or had free shipping so I could get more, but I'll have to make my way up to their store eventually to stock up! read more
