The guys who work at Impact Energy are passionate about their work and it shows. Aaron A. was my sales guy and he was extremely knowledgeable about the product, rebates and process. He prepared me for every twist and turn in the process and he was always reachable by phone or text (even on weekends!!). I think the lender they set you up with (Mosaic) has a reasonable deal with no pay off penalties and so far, they (Mosaic) has been great to work with too. Once Aaron had everything, including financing set up, he handed us off to Mackenzie the project manager. This guy is really sharp too. He is clear and thorough in his explanations and communications. He always made it seem like he always had time for my questions. Frequently I would text or email him a question and he would just pick up the phone and call me back. This is SO RARE in customer service! But it was the name of the game for Impact Energy, exceptional customer service. Everybody here was great. The installers arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. The electricians were super knowledgeable and detail oriented. Mackenzie set up all the permitting processes got us through without any problems. So in these last few days of sun we are generating solar power and through Xcel we will bank credits to use during times of higher demand. We own the panels, they are not leased. We did something good for the planet and we locked in our energy rates for the next 2 decades. read more

I have had the good fortune to work with Mackenzie and the Impact Solar crew on several projects. They consulted and installed my original solar array, then 3 years later serviced and replaced an out of date Solar Edge converter for me. Then they added more panels to my system when the rules from Excel changed. Just as that work was going to be done, we had that huge hail storm of June 2023. Mackenzie to the rescue, he met and negotiated with the insurance adjuster every step of the way and got a great settlement for my roof, home and property damage. The electrician, Paul H., kept me informed at all times. He was professional,accommodating, knowledgeable and an all around joy to work with. He gets a 5 rating! Walker B., one of the inspectors, was also friendly and knowledgeable. 5 Very pleased with the actual ownership vs leasing of these solar panels, my upgraded electrical system and the future addition of my EV charging system. T Con: Wasn't informed about the timing/day of all inspections and iI'm so glad that I'm retired or I would have missed them just showing up. Yesterday Xcel tech's came to swap out my meter, no call just dropped by...Reflection on Xcel and not Impact Energy. I can't comment on the savings except on the fact that the rebates have increased this year so good timing on my part. Impact Energy has proven to be a dishonest company with substandard work quality. Let me start by saying we signed the installation agreement on October 26, 2022, and it is now May 3rd, 2023, and our project still isn't completed, and we have no idea when it will be completed. We hired Impact to install a metal roof and solar, based off all the great reviews the company had. However, this has turned into a complete nightmare. Prior to the roof installation (December 15th), we had a question about if a rusted pipe on the roof would be replaced by the roofers, or if we needed to take care of that separately. Troy confirmed that all the pipes on the roof would be replaced (to date, they have replaced no pipes whatsoever on the roof, and have indicated they don't intend to). When the installation was taking place, the roofers instead of replacing the pipe, spray painted it and left a dripping paint stain on the new metal panel. To add insult to injury, they placed the pipe against one of the standing seams, rather than in the center of the panel, and wrapped it with an ugly boot that will be more likely to leak in the future. We notified Troy immediately and sent pictures, to which he responded, "We will get this fixed." He thanked me for the photos and said, "This is not acceptable." We continued to go back and forth with Troy and Mackenzie but were given the runaround. At that point, we contacted the owner of the company, Nate. Nate made a production by coming to the property, flying a drone over the roof, and pointing out all the flaws that the roof had and advising they would be taken care of. After waiting over a month, Nate still produced no results. He refused to replace the pipe, as he insisted his employees would never give us wrong information, despite being given screenshots of text messages that proved otherwise and his head roofer stating that they normally have customers sign a form saying these pipes won't be replaced, and he was sorry we weren't given that form. Nate called an HVAC company out to verify that it was an active pipe (we never asked him to do this) and acted like he did an act of god for us because he paid $99 for the service. Nate then lost all touch with reality and began to deny that there was any paint stain on the roof and that none of the other problems that he pointed out when he was at the house with his drone ever existed. Again, this is despite showing him multiple screenshots of his own words and his employee's words, he called us liars that were just trying to get stuff for free from him. When in reality, we paid over $25,000 for this roof, and just expected a quality job and the work that was promised to be provided to us, or if they were unable to provide what they offered to compensate us, so we could hire someone else to do the job correctly. Another issue is that Impact has now falsified documents by advising the financing company that all the work has been completed as of April 21st, 2023, which triggers their payment from the financing company. There is now no incentive for them to complete the contracted project, and we are doubting if they ever will complete the job to satisfaction. We are still waiting for our roof to be completed, as roof repairs and gutter installation still haven't happened. Save yourself a huge headache and pick a different company! read more

I want to warn all who decide to do business with the solar company (Impact Energy), they are untruthful when they say that you will get a tax rebate on the solar panels of $4000 to $5000 when you file your income tax at the end of the year. I received nothing and want to warn you all, do not take their word and read your contract. Bottom line if you don't make enough money that you pay thousands in taxes you don't get the rebate they promise. read more
