I was cared for by HoChin An for physical therapy Nov.-Mar. 2025-26. It was lights out good and I believe anyone who he works with will do really well and not regret it. On my initial visit, HoChin listened carefully to my explanation of my injury and why I was there for support and then he did more. I think I can sum up the extent of his greatness with a short anecdote from our first meeting. HoChin reviews my intake form and notices that I stated I like cats and doing cool outdoor projects. He asks me how many cats I have. I tell him, I have way too many cats, 5. He states, so you have quite a few litter boxes then, which means you are bending over a lot to clean them? Throughout our 4 months he treated me for two injuries and one chronic concern with that amount of insight and consideration. He focused on making sure I knew what was going on with my entire body and not just the injured components so I could build strength in a sustainable manner to keep doing the things I love (not cleaning a litter box!). When we got to a place where weekly visits were not necessary, we stopped but my access to the variety of tools and exercises I was given remained. I've been to 3 PT clinics in the Lynnwood area and a dozen throughout my lifetime. Too many times I was treated with generic advice that looked solely at my present injury and given an upcharge for ultrasound treatment or 5 minute PT massage that didn't do anything. HoChin cut out the BS and treated all of me all while having fun. I don't want to get injured again but I will and when I do, I'm going to Impact and HoChin. read more

I visited Impact Physical Therapy for treatment of a recent back injury, and I was well impressed with the experience. Nancy spent a lot of time with me going over my medical history, evaluating my current physical state and questioning me on the progression of my condition. Her approach felt very personalized to my situation, and she demonstrated a strong focus on educating me as a patient; I left her office with an excellent understanding of my condition and prognosis. Nancy gave me specific guidance on ways to manage my posture and avoid aggravating my injury and she provided a few exercises that have made a world of difference to my pain level. She did not think that ongoing physical therapy would yield significant benefits in my case... It's good to know there are still people out that that prioritize the customer over the almighty dollar! The clinic feels clean, modern and well-equipped. They are co-located with a doctor specializing in physiatry in case you need that, and they also have massage therapy on-site. There aren't that many independent PT options left in the market, and you can really feel the difference in patient focus when you're dealing with a place like Impact Physical Therapy. Impact called and informed me that the insurance person I gave them informed them that they were not responsible for my charges. I called the insurance person and he assured me that wasn't what he said at all. I call back Impact and after being on hold for 5 minutes I'm then told that's not what she said. Um, okay? Whatever. You just wasted 20 minutes of my life on the phone for what....? Customer service ended up being nil. This is the closest to home physical therapist. My doctor referred them because of that. I am now going to let him know not to do that and to drop them from his referral list. It's a shame, would have been so convenient. read more

I rarely give a one star rating. I'm making an exception for this place however. My partner went to PT at the suggestion of her physician for treatment for chronic headaches. We picked Impact because it was close to home and seemed adequate for the treatment she needed. In an effort to localize and determine problem areas, the therapist (Colin) used deep pressure on her head which resulted in a massive headache that night accompanied by nine hours of vomiting. She went back for another appointment and informed the therapist about the result of his last treatment. He was unapologetic and simply stated that he had to see if he could "replicate the headache" and that this was a part of the treatment that was to be expected. We made the decision not to return for any further treatments. A final bill came (we had already paid them nearly $300.) We called the billing office to discuss an adjustment - we felt that it was not right to continue to pay for something that was clearly NOT working after having paid them a sizable amount of money already. We asked for an accommodation credit which was, of course, denied. Following this we had a phone conversation with Nancy who (again) simply defended the therapist as being highly-competent and well-educated. We stated once more that we felt further charges for no results was not right and requested a credit. We never got another bill or statement from them. Then, out of the clear blue sky, we get a letter from a collection agency. We've both had numerous occasions to use PT in our lives and understand that, by its nature, it can be painful! But in this case, it was excessively so. More than anything else, what was missing here was a compassionate response to a profoundly awful outcome. A sincere apology from both the therapist and the manager when it happened would have gone a long way toward a better resolution. The brusk and uncaring response from the billing staff, the therapist, and the manager says a lot about this place. Find another therapy clinic. read more

I am having problems second time with this clinic. First time they told me take Regence, and then I got a bill stating that terapist was not taking regence. It was on hold for 4 -6 months. Then I got a bill from different terapist from same clinic. They mixed up who I went too! This is the closest clinic to me, so I asked my doctor give me referral to them. I have had surgery about 9-10 weeks before i started going to this clinic. They give me an exercise program, that screwed up my operated foot. why would i say so? Well, before going to them my foot ( I had surgery on right foot) was walking strait, now after their advised exercise my foot supinates. I have had a surgery so it is not supinates. They recommended work out muscle in the wrong direction. I got second opinion from Rehab clinic in Foot and Ankle Institute. Terapist told me that I MUST NOT WORK OUT MY FOOT IN THAT DIRECTION, where i was told by Nancy Mitrano. I was so upset, so i didn't call them for a couple of months and stopped paying. Finally they called me and said you must to pay a difference. I told them what happens. Nancy M. called me back and said that she was a terapist for 20 years with great reputation and doing Charities. Oh, my gosh! She too it all personally, instead of inviting me to their clinic and taking look at my foot. I have progressing illness CMT. There must be a special rehab program for people like me. She was not qualifying deal with this. Now I am suffering from her BAD advices and she billed me for something i have not been warn that i will be paying additionally. Just ANOTHER DOCTOR WHO IS USING our CROCKED MEDICAL SYSTEM. She threaten me to send my unpaid bill to collection agency. For $283 ?? After what she have done? If you hurt me I don't want to pay you. You provided me bad services. You are not different from plumber or bus driver. Bad services must not be paid. Telling me about her charities is very professional, is not? read more

I WOULD NOT SEND MY WORST ENEMY HERE! The billing office is completely unorganized and failed to work with my insurance company. After going to PT for 6 months, I was left with a bill. I was paying the bill regularly when out of the blue I was threatened with collections. I immediately called the billing department and they did not have accurate records so I asked to speak with the owner, Nancy. When Nancy didn't return my call, I called the office again and was told that Nancy said that she was not going to talk to me and would not help to resolve the issue. I cannot believe how poorly run this clinic is and Nancy is of NO help. She has no business being an owner. The billing office even mentioned that they were "mortified" by her behavior. It's pretty bad when even your staff speaks poorly of you, Nancy. The sad part is that Cole, my PT, was great to work with. read more

I give Impact credit that they do conventional, classic physical therapy, and that some people benefit from it....but when I had a secondary injury that was complicating my primary injury they ignored it instead of educating me about it and what I should be doing for it. After seeing a sport specific PT a year later I had to have surgery on that secondary injury. They said I should have had it done long ago and couldn't believe another PT ignored how it was complicating how I walked. It was the real reason for the old injury, once I fixed it everything was great. I also had a problem with billing, i see others have too. They gave me a portable electrical stim unit and told me to keep it for a few weeks. Well they didn't tell me the company who still owned the machine was billing my insurance for the machine and replacement supplies that they sent without my requests. I owed almost $300. I see others raving about Mary Lee Snortland at other review sites too, I didn't have her, she might be amazing I wish I had! read more

She uses manual adjustments, traditional PT tools, home exercises, and humor to both encourage and educate her patience on their bodies. I have worked with Mary Lee for over 10 years for on and off back issues, and I have successfully avoided surgery and have maintained an active unrestricted life. I'm a physician who has used Impact Physical Therapy over the 10 + years. I have used them personally for my own musculoskeletal problems and have referred patients to them. I appreciate the fact that they have a physical therapist dedicated to work with each patient and they do not rotate to other patients during visits. I have also utilized their massage therapy in association with physical therapy and feel as if it is truly coupled to what the overall therapy plan dictates. read more

This place is great. Everyone is very helpful and polite. I walked in there after having reconstructive knee surgery after a soccer injury. I tore my ACL, Medial and Lateral Meniscus, and Microfracture. I had my surgery on December 2015 and started going to rehab right away. Six months later I was still limping and was still in a great deal of pain. I began to wonder if I was going to even walk right let alone get back to playing soccer. Thats when I decided to switch physical therapist. My new therapist Michael was a magician. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He would spent each 40 minute session monitoring my excercises and making sure that I was doing them correctly and using the right form. We carefuly adjusted my workouts and added new steps gradually. The difference on my knee was instant. I went from limping to running, sprinting and cutting within three months. Now almost a year later I started playing soccer and basketball again. Thank you Michael and Impact Physical Therapy for helping me with my recovery. read more

Marylee Snortland is my PT goddess. She is fun, funny, AND an awesome physical therapist. She is so smart about the body and its workings, I can go in with some odd new kink and she knows exactly what is causing it, even though it's usually pain being referred from some other body part. I treated with Cole and found his treatment to be too intense following my auto accident. At the time my body still had alot of inflammation and I received intense deep knuckle pressure treatment in my neck and back area which caused more pain and headaches for three days. I decided this place was not for me. I guess he really didn't listen to me when I explained my symtoms. I would not recommend this place. read more

Having (unfortunately) dealt with a variety of physical therapy establishments for several orthopedic injuries, Impact is where I return. The entire staff works as a single unit, from therapists to billing staff (and I applaud them, given my recent long-term work injury). Moreover, I have appreciated Nancy's persistence in getting at the root of my mystery problems, whereas other therapists in the past have merely tossed a list of exercises at me and sent me home. Having never had experience with physical therapy before I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Jenna was really great with figuring out which muscle needed to be targeted and helping me recover through exercises and stretching. My experience with the office staff was also positive, they went out of their way to contact my insurance and find out what my costs would be. I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for years. Finally, a doctor sent me to a PT that didn't just put some heat on my shoulder and give me a few exercises. I'll start off by simply saying, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE FOR THERAPY ON YOUR INJURIES! Everyone makes mistakes and I can only hope whoever reads this review will learn from mine mistake of choosing Impact PT. I've been an athlete all my life, playing at both the collegiate and professional levels, so it is safe to say I have had my fare share of experiences with Physical Therapists. I recently injured both my knees and was advised by a friend to try them out. After one session I INSTANTLY regretted the decision to go to them. It was apparent the owner Nancy Mitrano knows NOTHING of the current Physical Therapy industry or how to run a business. Her treatment techniques are outdated, not customized to the patients needs, caused me MORE pain, and in NO WAY helped me recover from my injuries. I explained to Nancy, as professional as possible, that I felt her clinics services were not right for me and if she could give me a referral to another clinic. Her response was "there are no other clinics in the area that can help you at this moment". She didn't even offer to make a call or put me in contact with another clinic and the following week I received a rather large $300 bill in the mail. After a month of constantly calling and not being called back by the clinic, I was able to get my bill corrected with the help of my insurance company, NOT the clinic itself. Despite Impact PT's poor billing system and staff, again, FOR YOUR BODY'S SAKE, DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Billing was always straight forward for me, quick and easy and they always played ball with the weird demands of my insurance. I am a fairly serious athlete that had a subchondral fissure in my knee and didn't have a lot of options left from my sports medicine doctor before surgery (see Corey Hart from MLB). He referred me to Nancy and I was skeptic from a previous stint with PT that was unsuccessful. Previously had been Alpine climbing and mountaineering 16-20hr days, ski touring, running, and rec basketball and soccer. Lots of impact. Other PT experience seemed like a lot of rehab for older folks with age related injuries, I was always the only active person in the place. Impact was totally different! I was also recommended to get massage which I was skeptic about, but Brian (marathoner, ex-marine) ended up working miracles and taught me a lot about the different pain I was feeling, after an hour I would leave feeling better than the lidocaine from previous cortisone shots would. Nancy demo'd the difference between soft tissue pain and joint pain and had a lot of success rehabbing my quad and knee over 3 months. She didn't over schedule or over bill me and cut me loose after we had a thorough plan and had been making progress. I'm another 3 months out of PT and still doing great! Over a year of symptoms and finally returning to my normal lifestyle. read more
