At each visit, whenever I think she's finished, she'd hold my hand up and do more checking, nipping, massaging etc etc etc My only concern is my cuticles don't like to be snipped especially during the cold months. They retaliate like SHXT and I'm left with hangnails which is so tempting to cut but then when will the vicious cycle end? I digress The salon is small and tidy the techs and customers mature. It's truly a space where you can unwind, scroll your apps uninterrupted or engage in some small chit chat. I like the space. They're also affordable and don't use gimmicks to hike up their prices. When I asked why I was charged $25 for the manicure, I was told it was for the polish, but I wasn't charged extra for the polish on my pedicure. This is arbitrary and makes no sense. Nail polish is generally assumed to be part of these services.

Payton is very fun and pleasant to interact with and I enjoy the hour or so I spend getting my hair cut with her. I have a short bob haircut that I get cut every few months and here at Shearz with a wash, cut, and blow-dry, the price (before tip) totals to $50. I think this is a reasonable fee and I enjoy getting my hair cut here with Payton so I will continue returning.

Chin believes only in soaking off the existing nails and will not hurry the visit by using the grinder most places use. He explained to me that it wears away at the strength of my natural nail and that I should insist my nail salon back home takes the time to soak off my nails. With that being said, Chin took great care in getting my very damaged and very short nails back to looking really nice, and we agreed only one tip for a nail that I had bit off so short it was painful. An chimed in on the color selection, and the two of them got me to a beautiful shade of champagne. As I sat in their salon, I lost sight of the fact that I was right off Eastern Avenue. The atmosphere is tranquil and very relaxing. Good conversation was shared between the owners, another team member, and two regulars of theirs who were super pleasant. I've always thought the wax is much better and cleaner feeling than what I've gotten at nail places. I get eyebrow, lip, and bikini, which usually takes about 30 minutes total and seems reasonable. I do have a wax pass but the prices seem a little high (almost $100 for the services above + tip). The front staff is nice and it's easy to rebook. There's free parking in the lot behind it. I have only been to a few other wax places but this is still my favorite!

Kayla made me feel very comfortable for the spray tan and did an excellent job with the color and tone. I was obsessed! It definitely faded a bit after the third or fourth day but to be fair, I was on vacation and swimming in the ocean and pool a lot.
