Been coming for a few years and have used a few different wax gals. Currently I've been going to Franny and today I subbed with Olivia. They're both great. I've always thought the wax is much better and cleaner feeling than what I've gotten at nail places. I get eyebrow, lip, and bikini, which usually takes about 30 minutes total and seems reasonable. I do have a wax pass but the prices seem a little high (almost $100 for the services above + tip). The front staff is nice and it's easy to rebook. There's free parking in the lot behind it. You know it's bad when the manager comes out, decides to comp everything and says, "I really hope you reconsider coming back". Nope. The waxing person didn't know what services I had rsvped for, attempted to tint my brows clearly not knowing what she was doing, and ignored my revoking consent and bodily autonomy when I asked her to stop my Brazilian because it was too painful. "But I still need to do this part", she says while applying more scalding hot wax a bit too close to a certain area. "NO YOU DON'T!" I reply, but it was too late. I am home from my appointment and still bleeding and have to walk around with stupid looking eyebrows until they eventually fade. I have been going to EWC for almost 10 years, and will not return to this location. Did not even make it into the door. I'm a public transit user, and today the water taxi was running slightly behind - I called to let them know I would be 10 minutes late, and they told me I could not come in to get a wax, that they only allow 9 minutes late. I asked if they could make an exception, as I took public transportation to get there, and they said no. In my opinion, very poor customer service. I'm visiting Baltimore for a conference. I didn't get a chance to get to my regular wax girl. A friend recommended EWC. I made an appointment at the Fed Hill location and ended up running late. Katie, the manager, was so helpful. She moved my appointment. Anastasia did my Brazilian and it was amazing! Not a hair left unsnatched! She had great conversation and loved quickly! She recommended some of the EWC products. I would definitely suggest stopping by if you're in the area. read more

Went to Lexy for a Brazilian. Took a while, much slower than a normal EWC wax. I thought there was a time limit// associates were trained to be a little more efficient. She was pretty thorough, but had to tweeze a lot too. In my 15 years of getting Brazilians, that was the first time it was so much patch correction/ tweezing. I don't know if the wax was too hot at first either, but she seemed to twist it for a lot longer than I usually see. It was as if she twisted every dip of wax 10 rotations before putting it down. Again, if you have the time, it was thorough but I've never experienced anything like it at EWC. read more

Huge shoutout to Kylie. I didn't get my brows done for most of quarantine & they were looking like two fat caterpillars. The hard wax doesn't hurt or have nearly as much redness as the strip wax i'm used to. As a former tweezer, i'm pro wax 10000% now. already have my next appointment ready! read more

Save your money and get a wax kit. It's easy to learn and it's a lot better than having to deal with the employees at this center. Or, go to Smooth Wax Bar in Baltimore instead. When I realized I was going to be late for my 7:30pm appointment, I called the center to let them know that I hit traffic on Light Street and was driving with a medical boot on my right foot. The receptionist said if I made it to the center by 7:35 they would see me but if I got there at 7:36 they "couldn't promise" they would see me. Despite explaining my disability and trouble with city traffic they continued to say "sorry strict policy" without offering any solution. I managed to rush through traffic and walk into the center at exactly 7:35pm. The receptionist was looking at her computer waiting to send the "no show text" while the "training specialist" watched me pull into a parking spot, get out of my car, and walk into the center by 7:35pm. They waited until 7:36pm to check me in. At that point they looked up and said "oh its 7:36 now, not 7:35 you're a no show" while smiling at me. This was probably my breaking point and they continued to say they did not see me walk in (even though the glass door is 5 feet away from them) and that "I knew about my disability and I should have planned better." Throwing someones disability in their face is extremely disrespectful and unsympathetic. No one in their 20's wants to struggle with an ankle injury and walk in a medical boot for weeks. Well, every EWC customer agrees to a late policy when booking an appointment. The policy has always been 10 minutes and if you show up 9 minutes late then you're considered a no show. If you go to your EWC account online and find your "past appointments" and select "view/edit forms," your Late Policy agreement will come up. (I added screenshots of EWC policy). The text message this center sends out is not an agreement nor is it policy. The form I signed and acknowledged when booking my reservation is EWC policy. I am empathetic to estheticians and others working in the salon/beauty industry. I worked in a tanning salon for three years and had customers who would come in to tan for 20 minutes, 1 minute before we closed. I get the frustration when customers are late, but this was just a horrible experience. I guess it all worked out for the best because the last time I went to this center the "wax specialist" burned my skin during my Brazilian and left so much hair. I wanted to give them another chance since I've gone to EWC for so long but this was the cherry on top!!! I ended up walking out, buying a wax kit and doing the Brazilian myself. read more

Just went here for the first time and am very impressed. Everyone was really nice - the woman at the desk (I forgot to get her name) was welcoming, helpful, and kind. Then Asia did my wax and she was amazing! She was super efficient yet it was also the most thorough wax I've ever had by far (she even tweezed hairs that the wax didn't get). And it was a relatively pain-free experience thanks to her. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going back! read more

I went to their Columbia location and had Mariah as my wax specialist and there was so much hair left over from my Brazilian wax, she also did not wait for the wax to dry fully before ripping it off. I've been to their fed hill , Towson, and canton location in Maryland and i don't know what people they are hiring but they always leave hair and i have to go back for a touch up. It's not a little bit of hair either. They always leave hair on the vulva and it's so annoying. If you are going to leave hair on the vulva then don't charge me for a Brazilian wax. I bought a wax pass since i was going to my wax lady since 2018 until she quit. They REFUSE to refund me my wax pass they will only offer store credit so I'm forced to continue to go to their wax specialist who never remove all of the hair. Do not come here they are literally the worse!!!!! And when i have to go back because they missed an entire strip of hair on both side of my vulva, they have the audacity to not have availability that best suits my schedule. I'm literally so mad. And i tipped the specialist $20 each time i get a wax. And it's so freaking annoying to get home and i have to shave because they did not do a good job and then when i get a touch up i have tip again for the touch up . This was my first time going to a European Wax Center. And I must say this place was really nice. First of all the area is beautiful. It's really a one stop shop you can get your iced coffee, grab some brunch, or just sit around and enjoy the area. Now my wax was bomb, Jasmine was so sweet and was finished fast ! Quick and easy. I tipped her $10. What I really loved to was that they apply ingrown hair serum afterwards to the waxed area. And powder after/ during waxing. I will be back. read more
