These past few weeks when I have been struggling to use my car with two broken external handles, I…read moreWISHED I had the mechanical skills to fix my car. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

Josh Meeh is a LIAR!…read more He will tell you any lie to steal your money. He ripped me off for thousands of dollars when he lied about the condition of a classic car I purchased. I purchased the car online and took his word about the condition of the car I purchased. Once received, I couldn't even drive it. It took me thousands of dollars just to make it road worthy, and it was still a piece of garbage. The car had so much rust that it was unsafe to drive. It was full of bondo and poorly installed patch panels. Josh lied about the condition of the car and ripped me off. He is a liar and a thief. Josh 100% knew he ripped me off. After the purchase, Josh stopped all contact with me, ignoring all my communication. Pics are of how the car looked when it arrived. It had rust so bad you could see the ground from inside the car in several different places. The car had no wiring from the dash back, None. Josh confirmed that the car was ready to go before shipping it to me, which was a complete lie. He is a bold face liar

I purchased a car from lonestarclassicmotors on ebay.com. The car was misrepresented in many ways…read more The listing stated: New convertible top just done, nice paint, super clean interior all over, original 283 that runs perfect with great pickup and excellent acceleration!! Chrome and trim in good condition front to back. Clean car all over. Great convertible that is ready go!! Please see more pictures on our website....lonestarclassicmotors.com http://lonestarclassicmotors.com/1964-Chevrolet-Chevelle/Used-Convertible/Richmond-TX/7749112/SoldDetails.aspx Some of the problems are but not limited to: 1) The convertible top has tears in it and is coming apart at the seams. 2) The paint work has bubbles, pits, scratches, gouges and cracks in it. 3) The interior while not being too bad has broken, dirty and non-functioning items. 4) Chrome and trim is scratched, rusty, pitted, damaged with paint overspray, dents and bends. 5) It was stated clean car all over but the car has MAJOR rust damage making it unsafe to drive. Did I say MAJOR? The quarter panel on the passenger side flaps loose in the wind and the passenger A pillar is almost completely gone where it meets the cowl. This is a convertible. The only thing holding the windshield in is the 2 A pillars around the glass. The rust is so bad in the trunk area that both rear tires and the ground can be seen from inside the trunk. 6) The tires and rims are incorrect for the car and both back tires rub the quarter panel wheel lips. The lips have been pounded in and are a mess and they still rub the tires. 7) Listing states: Great convertible that is ready go!! This is far from the truth. The car has absolutely no wiring in the back half of the car. No brake lights, tail lights, turn signals, backup lights, marker lights or fuel sending unit. Everything is missing. It does not have lamps or sockets, nothing. These items make it illegal to drive on the street and certainly not ready to go. The Ebay.com listing directed me to see more pics and info on their website, lonestarclassicmotors.com. This listing also states: New convertible top just redone, nice paint and interior, Power top works well (which it does not have), and also states car is READY TO GO. Mileage 50,433 (which was also incorrect). I bid on this car and won it on ebay.com based on the listing info. This car was misrepresented. The listings have over 50 pics in them and not one shows the severe damage this car has or the missing parts making it not road worthy. Nothing is mentioned in the listing concerning all the major problems this car has. I was misled by the seller and his listing as to the road worthiness and condition of this car. I am a 57 year old disabled veteran that had major back surgery (service connected) in 2014 (3 disks dissected and 4 vertebrae fused in my spine). I have saved to buy this car, my childhood dream for years only to be tricked into buying a car I can't drive or fix. Car was paid for using a bank wire transfer. Amount sent was $16,500 and $550 shipping costs. Total investment so far is $17,050. I have sent multiple emails but the business has not responded. I have called my contact (Josh Meeh) at the phone numbers (two) provided and he has not answered them. I sent a text message to the two phone numbers that my contact gave me asking that he let me know when I call so that I can speak with him about the car. He responded on 9/20/2016 with tomorrow. I called him twice on 9/21/2016 and he does not answer my calls. As of today 9/25/2016 I still have not heard anything from them. I have left voice mail messages and email messages saying the problems and that I want to return the car and get my money back.

I spoke with Harris, who was fantastic (seemingly) the entire time I communicated about the car I…read morepurchased. He was energetic, provided timely responses, and worked to get the sale completed. The only issue was that he was not the decision maker; his father was. I specifically asked Harris, "was the car damaged in any way?", "was there any body work done to the car?", "is there any kind of cosmetic issue, besides some chips on the hood and curb rash on wheels that I could see from photos?" The answer was "no", to all of those questions. I was thrilled, so I agreed to pay over market value for a car that I thought was a premium example of what I was seeking. I shipped the car to my home, only to find out the 1) the front bumper had clearly been bumped at low speed before, and Harris' father had it poorly resprayed, 2) the rear bumper had been bumped also, and Harris' father had it poorly resprayed, 3) whoever resprayed the bumpers painted right over the parking sensors, causing them not to work properly, 4) there was a large chip in the rear quarter panel that was starting to show rust, 5) the lower rocker panel on the driver's side had peeling clear coat. I texted Harris about these issues, and he responded with, "my dad did get the front quarter of the bumper sprayed. I just asked him about it as I showed him these pictures. dam Painter didn't clean his mess. Can't believe i missed that." Unfortunately for me, he said there had been no body work done, but in reality, he had no clue. I took the car to a body shop to get a quote to fix all of these issues: $5,000 for new bumpers, painting, and new parking sensors. If I would have known this, I would have never paid the premium that I did.
