My wife and I visited several places looking for quartzite for our kitchen countertops. We live in Phoenixville Pennsylvania, but we traveled to Reading, Downingtown, King of Prussia, Folcroft, Chester, Hatboro, and even North and South Jersey in our quest to find the perfect slab of Taj Mahal. All the places we visited were very accommodating. We decided to purchase our quartzite from Imperial Marble and Granite. The price was reasonable as were several others, but the main reason was the patience and expert advice given to us by the Salesperson John S. He guided us through the entire process. We're so happy with our counters! This was the third or fourth place we shopped for countertops at, and we're very happy with what we got. Steve helped us choose a granite slab that was below what we expected to pay, exclusive to the company, and instantly our favorite design. We loved seeing a mock up prior to fabrication that showed exactly how the cuts/design would look and it matched exactly when it arrived. The install guys did an amazing job and the seam was so well hidden and integrated in the design it's still surprising every time we look at it. Just don't. Don't do business with this group. Ordered a custom slab to be installed around a fireplace. When they showed up with the slab they informed me they could not install it. Never mentioned in the ordering, templating or scheduling that they could not/ would not install. Three months after paying the balance in full for the template and slab I get a call that I owe additional money. The stone is lovely. The people are not. Go to Colonial. Despite arriving at the showroom with no appointment, we were welcomed in and given the opportunity to walk around the warehouse and look at all the different stones. After choosing our favorite stone, the Namibia Sky Polished Quartzite, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a very reasonable quote! Installed out granite in March, damage made to ceiling with install. Then in June the slight imperfection that I was told was nothing turned into a full crack. Cakes numerous times and was blown off. Finally after weeks and calling 4 days in a row was asked to send pics of danger. Let's hope they correct all their mistakes! Do not recommend the reasonable priced countertop for slights on customer service. read more

Ugh, these guys were so bad to deal with. They delayed our kitchen remodel almost 3 weeks with their poor workmanship, lack of attention, but most of all the lies. The owner has no qualms about flat out lying to you. Use these guys at your own risk. Working through a kitchen designer, we indirectly bought our counter from Imperial. The counter was supposed to have a second sink (which we also bought from Imperial, they were supplying the sink). Both sinks were in the drawings sent to Imperial by the designer. The first guy from Imperial comes out to take measurements for the counter. No problem, or so we thought at first. The counter shows up and gets installed. Imperial forgot the cutout for the second sink. The designer calls Imperial and has them come back out. They send someone to check things out and tell us "there was no second sink in the drawings" -- lie #1. Disagreement ensues, but they do eventually send out a crew to do the cutout for the sink. In the course of removing and reinstalling, they chip the counter. The "resolve" this by filling the chip with epoxy, even though it is obvious the counter has been damaged (I'll upload a photo). They also leave epoxy residue all over the top of the counter (photo also uploaded). Epoxy doesn't just rub off, you have to scrape it off and it leaves a stain that needs to be polished out. We complain, they send someone to "fix" the problem. We come home after their visit to the same chip and still the same epoxy residue all over. We complain again. This time, the owner of the kitchen design shop gets involved and he tells us the owner of Imperial will get us a new slab since this one is damaged. Lie #2. They come and remove the damaged counter and break some backsplash tiles in the process. Days later, they come to install the counter. It is the same counter -- WITH THE SAME CHIP! Photo uploaded. We refuse the install and make them take the counter back with them. Angry call between the crew foreman and his shop. They gather their tools and leave. After they leave, we find a big scratch on our refrigerator near where their tools had been staged. Apologetic call from the kitchen designer -- the owner of Imperial claims "someone will be fired because of this mistake". A couple of days later, they come to install the counter yet again. Imperial assures us that it is a new slab. Lie #3. It is not, which you can tell from the photos. I'm sure they get away with this lie more often than not, we just happen to have been taking photos of the counter and it is obvious that the pattern at the joint has been exactly the same for all photos. They appear to have cut out part of the counter to eliminate the chip. There is still a slight widening at the edge of the joint where a bit of the chip remains, but it is good enough now I suppose. We lost 1/4" on the overhang side of the peninsula due to them cutting the chip off, but we're so tired of dealing with Imperial and being out of our kitchen. Horrible company and horrible service and constant lies. I can't un-recommend these guys enough. Avoid at all costs. read more

Do not use this company! They are one of of most unreliable companies I have seen for long time. They will take your down payment and promise delivery in 2-3 days. After that that they will change delivery date multiple times using every excuse in the book. They also change the price after they get your down payment. My review is not based on any service I received from Imperial Marble and Granite. Based on many reviews from several dissatisfied customers, I have not done business with Imperial Marble and Granite and would be a fool to do so. My review is more so on the lack of integrity and character of not only the company, but in the owners - Albert and Lucie (Lousine) Kzelian. Nearly a month ago, one of their company trucks abruptly came over into my lane and hit me on my driver side rear. I have the whole incident captured on my front and rear dash cameras. These videos are currently on YouTube and are titled - "Hit by Imperial Marble and Granite truck." There are a total of three videos. The driver of the truck did stop and we discussed the issue. He Admitted fault and said he simply did not see me when he came over into my lane. No police were called because the Philadelphia Police Department will not respond unless it is a major accident. Within an hour of the accident I called the company directly and spoke to Krystal Cimino, and explained the fact that one of their trucks just hit my truck, and they were at fault. I was immediately told that the owners were on vacation and will return (on Wednesday....) and for me to call back then. When I called back on Wednesday, I was told that I had to speak to Lucie, and I was put on hold for nearly 45 minutes. I finally hung up I called back several more times over the next couple of days in an attempt to speak to Lucie. Each time, she was either not there, or she was busy with a customer, and I was put on hold for 30 minutes or longer. Eventually, all of my calls were transferred straight to voicemail. After calling from a different number, I spoke to a person named "John." John told me on a subsequent call that he spoke to the owner Albert (because of course, Albert wasn't there each time I spoke to John) and they instructed me to go to a body shop that they chose to have my truck repaired. The owner of the body shop they wanted me to take my truck to was a personal friend of Albert - the owner of Imperial Marble and Granite. The owner of the body shop told me that he was going to repair my truck as a favor to Albert for only $500, and there would be no paperwork exchanged and no insurance involved. When I advised John that I was going to get my own estimate, he became agitated and told me to just, "Go through my own insurance." My insurance company has attempted to call Imperial Marble and Granite in an effort to go through their insurance company and to settle payment for the claim. Each time they call - again the owners are either not there, or for some reason are unavailable to get to the phone. My insurance company has been promised several return calls from the owners. To date, no one from Imperial Marble and Granite has called my insurance company back. From day one, both Albert and Lucy have done nothing but attempt to duck and dodge any and all responsibility for their company's careless driver. This should not surprise me because again, if you read the reviews from their many unhappy customers, they do little to nothing to try to satisfy and/or correct there shoddy and incompetent work; so I guess they feel that I should not be treated any differently? Mike P.S. - If you think that I am exaggerating about their lack of character and integrity, just look at their reviews. Many of the positive reviews that they do have are from family, friends, or employees. Our experience with this company was the WORST customer service experience I have ever had! The staff was helpful and attentive, UNTIL they got our money (deposit). Then we couldn't get a return phone call from anyone. We picked a slab of granite that we loved. Our concern was that there did not seem to be enough material for our kitchen counter job. However, our salesperson assured and reassured us that there was enough to fit our project. So we gave them a 50% deposit, which was immediately withdrawn from our checking account. A couple days later we called to schedule the measuring, we were informed that there was no longer enough granite for our job. Only then did we receive a voicemail from the salesperson blaming his installers for using too much of our material for another job. In his message, he told us that WE were welcome to search their suppliers to see if we could find another slab of giallo ornamental. THEY did not offer to help us find another comparable slab of the same granite. This was THEIR mistake-shouldn't they be doing the searching, not us!?! After ten days and several unreturned phone calls, we demanded a refund. Only then was I able to speak with the office manager, Lucy. She offered a discount if we would like to pick out another piece of granite. I told her, quite frankly, that I would rather pay more money elsewhere! We are now working with another granite company. I have never written an online review before but I felt compelled to let other potential clients know about our bad experience. read more

I am a real estate developer and custom builder. I have been using Imperial for many years now. i find them to be extremely professional, with great selections, and very good installs. Whenever there was a problem, and that was not often, Albert, Lucy or Nichole, was there to attend to it. I have used many other granite suppliers over the years, and Imperial is by far the best. Good selections, good prices and instals. My customers were never disappointed when I sent them there. They installed my counter and there was a chip in the edge. When I called he said they would be out tomorrow. Well tomorrow came and went I called and he said someone would be there at 1. No one called showed up. So I called and he said someone would be there today at 11. No one has called or showed up. Meanwhile I work and I have to schedule someone to be at the house, for no one to show up. Now I call and no one will answer the phone. So they are ignoring me. Working with imperial was a disaster. Mistakes and confusion during every point of the process. First they gave me the wrong sink, then the correct sink could not be located after they had already cut the hole. They eventually sold me the floor sample after having me make two additional trips to the showroom. When the installers came it turned out the sink was off by 1/4 inch and did not fit properly in my base cabinet. This forced me to change my kitchen design. Imperial said there was nothing they could do because I had ikea cabinets. Maybe they could have measured properly? Would never go back. read more

I was told to go to Imperial by a lot of friends, coworkers and family. I like to really know about a place before going there, I like knowing what kind of vibe they have so I asked around. Everyone who I asked said nothing but wonderful things about imperial marble and granite! So I called and made an appointment to see the slabs they had at the wear house. Oh my gosh, they have a huge selection to choose from! The slabs are so beautiful. Now the staff, if I'm spending a good amount of money I want to be treated good. The staff at imperial marble and granite was great! Very helpful, knowledgeable, cheerful, very positive and professional people. My sales person was wonderful and always took the extra step in making sure my husband and I where happy and satisfied. The measures and installer people where very nice friendly people and did an amazing job putting everything in my house. She helped me pick granite by text because I wouldn't have a chance to visit the showroom for a while. Her choices based on my request were excellent. She answered questIons quickly. Imperial was very fair in their pricing and valued customer satisfaction. I compared their granite and estimate to 3 other places and they were the best. More importantly, customer service was outstanding. When we went to the showroom, they were patient and thorough each time. Their designers helped us pick edges, sink, and layout for our backsplash and countertops. We chose Istanbul granite. It is installed and we love it! When their person came to measure, he had expert advice on details, and their installers worked cleanly and were frIendly and professional. I received a call/message from the office apox two and a half weeks ago Mid of Jan 2013. Again the office staff was polite, stating "someone" told them of my review and how surprised they were i had a issue, and how they want all there costumers to be completely happy. OH PLEASE! After the (3) unreturned called, and even getting the credit card comp involved to support her (Lucy) to call me back with no results. I did a message via the credit card comp a message from Lucy, summed up: " if i had a issue with the stone call the office other wise its my issue". Well i see how well on line reviews can be and worth the time to write. Nothing else would get any reply from this company about a very small damage issue. It maybe short sighted of me, but in my mind..."to little, and way to late". I don't even want to talk to her. Again...the stone is so pretty and fits so well, such a shame how i got blown off about damage their installers did to my stove. What would have happen if it was a wood floor or something really big damaged...sounds like that would be my issue too. read more

Marble was beautiful but installers severely damaged my drywall during removal and left a huge gap (3/4"!!) between counter and my wall! Got put on hold indefinitely when I tried to call back and complain. Don't use this company! Pay a little more elsewhere, as you'll end up losing too much time and money fixing their mistakes. read more

Imperial was the worst! Krystal in the show room was great and the actual installers were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the management is HORRIBLE and when there is a problem, they offer no apologies and have no sense of urgency in correcting the problem. I have been in Real Estate for over 10 years and have recommended Imperial over the years - boy was that a HUGE mistake and NO MORE. I was doing a VERY simple job -- just replacing my countertops. The countertop (even though it was one slab) for whatever reason did not match. This simple issue could have been easily corrected. Instead, Imperial blamed the manufacturing company, could never tell me when the new counter would arrive, never offered me a discount until I threatened to not pay them at all. I lived with no counter top at all -- open drawers for over 2 weeks. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and was assured that a manager would call me back - never did a manager call until I threatened not to pay. Prior to that, I called every day and was told a manager would call me back and never did. In addition, the one manager I spoke with acted like he had no idea what problems I had and just kept saying "well now you have a nice kitchen so what's the problem? You are just trying to make problems" THIS WAS JUST SUCH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I will never recommend them again. read more

Purchased one of their vanity tops through Menards. After installation realized it was defect. Had to go to store to find another one. Had to pay installers a second installation fee of $125. Menards sent defect vanity top back to Imperial. Filled out form requesting reimbursement of the second installation fee. They refused. I am not an installer and cannot reinstall vanity tops. I am a 60 year old senior with two back surgeries. I had to pay someone a second time to reinstall or be without a sink. Would never recommend or purchase their product. read more
