I wish I had seen these reviews before. They quoted me $11,000 for the move from Utah to Tennessee. Movers packed and loaded half of my house and said estimate was too low. I had to pay over $22,000 for move. Packers did not protect and of my TVs, fridge and other items. 6-month old 75" TV destroyed. Fridge with huge dents and scratches. Bookcases demolished. They are the biggest rip off in the industry. I called for a quote and the gentleman Asilverman quoted me 3116.25 without asking what I had in inventory. I gave them 1400 downpayment and i never ended up using them for the move and now they dont want to give me back my downpayment without any services rendered. All he asked me was how many rooms and I said 2 bedrooms. This is my 1st time using a moving company moving from State to State. The maximum time i spent on the phone with him was about 10 minutes before he sent me a form to put a downpayment. I figured 3100 bucks was a great deal, WRONG two days before the move i get a call and of course here comes another sales pitch to get more money from me. I recently booked a move through Imperial Moving Group, Job No. DP3253232, and it was an absolutely terrible experience. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM.  At first everything seemed smooth. I didn't have a drop off address at the time of booking (over 2 months before my move), but was assured I could add that later with no problem. Once I got an address and called to change it, I found out the company I had originally booked with (Executive Van Lines) had been bought by Imperial and I would have to re-sign my contract. Fine. It seemed the exact same anyways, and it was necessary to update the address. A couple weeks later I needed to shift my move date by one (1) day forward, but had to call several times over the course of a week to make this happen - the response was repeatedly that they were trying to reach out to the mover to confirm and that they would call me back once they did, but they never called.  5 days before the move I was supposed to get a quality call to confirm inventory. This didn't happen. When I called the next business day they told me they "saw the call was missed, but it's fine because the mover would take an inventory when they picked up anyways." Okay, sure.  There was then a 3 day pickup range for when the movers were supposed to come, and they would call the day before to communicate day and time. By the afternoon of the second day I still hadn't received a call, so I called back. After a brief hold I was told that they would come between 8 and 10am the next day. Great! I thought. Perfect timing, but why couldn't they have called and told me that originally..?  The next morning, I waited patiently. By 9:30 I had heard nothing (they were supposed to call when 45 minutes away as a heads-up) so again, I called Imperial. They told me that sometimes trucks are late and to just wait. I called more, and after numerous customer service holds, I was told that the truck was 3-4 hours away. What the heck?!? I then told them I would have to go to work at that point, and the movers would have to communicate to me when they were close so I could meet them. "Sure sure, we'll let them know" they said.  After over 4 hours at work and no word, I saw that I had an email from the previous day (at exactly the time I had called to inquire when the movers were coming) with a DOT# for my movers. So I started doing research, and found a number for the movers. Calling, I spoke to someone who told me my truck wouldn't be able to come until the NEXT day, i.e. after the contractual pickup window. Why? I asked, and they told me that Imperial Moving had left my move ON HOLD until the previous day, so they didn't know they were for sure coming to get me until too late. WHY would this have happened?! Except that Imperial clearly did not care about my move at all - not to mention the blatant LYING that had to be occurring as they had assured me that morning that the truck was 3-4 hours away.  As I was clearly distressed, the mover had my supposed truck driver call me to confirm he would show up. He even FaceTimed me to show me his truck when I asked if he was a scam! So I thought hey, this finally seems real. Tragically, he still wouldn't come before noon the next day (and I had planned to drive away that day for a wedding, an 8+ hr drive).  Oh well, they were finally coming. That next morning I texted the driver and got no response. At 11:30 I called and it went straight to voicemail. By noon I had heard nothing and no truck was there. I called the movers in tears, and after telling me "they'd never seen this happen before" and they "were human too" they said that the driver could maybe be there by 3 or 4 that day, or better the next day - could we reschedule? NO! This was unacceptable and I had to be gone. She said she would relay the issue to her superiors and call back - which she never did. Meanwhile the driver finally texts me to say "give me 20 min and I'll give you an update". An update which never came.  Coincidentally, at the exact same time I was on this call I got a spam text reading  "(New Leaf Moving Group) Hey! I heard there were a lot of moving companies not picking up their customers this year because of lack of availability with trucks. Just wanted to let you know we can still get your move serviced if the movers you hired don't show up. I'm always here, call me on 561-277-0388!" Why not, I though, what other option do I have? Upon calling, the person who answered was the SAME PERSON that I had booked with originally from a different company (New Leaf) and then canceled upon finding a cheaper booking with Executive/Imperial Moving. Coincidence? I think not. And naturally, the price for them to get me now was 3x as much and I had to put a payment down RIGHT AWAY - terrible.  A handful of hours later I got 10+ calls from the moving company (and one from Imperial Moving Group) informing me that the movers were finally ready to pick me up! Totally terrible experience. Sales rep, from word go, was only interested in getting me to approve a deposit down payment, very little listening on his part. Huge red flag that I missed. I gave them the cubic feet and qty of every box, piece of furniture, appliance, everything, They came back with a cubic foot quote of 850 cubic feet. They show up with a moving truck of about 1/2 of a normal trailer. Driver tells me he thinks that will do it. When they get to 850 cubic feet the driver lets me know that he is out of space. I still have half of items that were on the list they provided to me based on what I gave them, and I approved, yet to load. So I wind up with a bunch of good furniture and a washer and dryer that I had to donate to get rid of them, given I was closing on the sell of my house. When I called Imperial they told me the driver was out of the area and would not come back? Where was the additional space supposed to come from. i was not about to give them (Imperial) more money to do the job they had already agreed to do. The drivers and loaders and the person delivering did a good job. The incompetence was with the Imperial Groups estimation capabilities. How do you miss your estimate by 50%. I rarely write reviews, but Imperial Moving Group deserves the time and attention. They are an awful collection of humans that sell snake oil. I will pursue them in small claims court to seek reimbursement of my deposit. Reasons you should cancel your competitively priced quote: 1. Combative and non-responsive customer service 2. Non-committal delivery timelines (up to 12 business days) 3. Lack of accountability and empathy 4. Awful track record of delivering items on time and in one piece. I cancelled my appointment one day prior to service after 1) losing faith in their ability to deliver my items on time and 2) after being treated poorly. Booked 3 months in advance for move out of state. Told me everything I wanted to hear and when time came didnt do any of it. No free storage for a month where I could access items. Didnt deliver within 7-10 days. No free redelivery. Subcontracted to third party when the entire time they said "their driver". Charged double once items were in the truck. 3 weeks later part of my items were found clear across the country, and Im paying again for new service with a new company. Company wouldnt call me back. Didnt provide new eta and I had to pay for an empty storage unit. Do not use these people. They lie, dont provide customer service or follow up. They quoted me $11,000 to move from Utah to TN. After packing and loading have my house, they came back and said it would be $22,000. Could not stop and had to pay. I paid them to pack my entire house and they did not protect any of it. Any wood furniture have scratches and huge dents. Three of my four TVs were delivered broken. My appliances have huge dents. Should have done my homework. Next court, they didn't even respond to a settlement offer through our attorney. I am out $6588. Buyer beware. I'm giving them 2 stars because at least I got most of my things and it certainly could've been worse (by the looks of the other reviews). The sales rep was amazing and that was the best part of my experience. After getting a very competitive quote, I booked what was originally a 2-part move. I was supposed to have one truck go from CT to OR and another truck from CA to OR. I found out my company probably couldn't afford to reimburse me for all of it, so while they deliberated, I reached back out to the sales rep asking her if I should just cancel that move within the 48-hour free cancellation window until I had concrete information. I didn't want to risk losing a $900+ deposit. She assured me that they would be accommodating while I waited on my employer to get back to me regarding my relocation monies. When my boss told me about a week and a half later that they could only cover one, I let Imperial know that I would only do the CT to OR move and cancel the other. They did accommodate a refund, but they kept 15% of it as a service charge which was not my agreement with the sales rep. If she had been honest, I would've canceled my booking within the 48-hour window and gotten a refund, but she lied to get her company more money. The load-up at my house was quick and efficient, but they were entirely careless with my things and it was clear that Imperial had not told the actual movers about the items in my move. For example, I told Imperial about several paintings, mirrors, and glass-top desks I would be moving and they said this was all included in my quote. When the movers got there, they said they didn't know they were supposed to have materials to protect those things, and they added hundreds of dollars onto my estimate for the "additional" mirrors, paintings, and desk. The movers scratched several paintings in the process, threw several floor lamps into a large wardrobe box with no protection, and roughly handled my boxes, included holding some of the ones marked "FRAGILE" upside down. The truck driver seemed to move efficiently because he arrived within a couple of weeks of my load-up in CT. However, it was very frustrating to me that the office could never give me an estimate on the arrival date until the day before. You'd think that after doing this for years they could at least give me a 2-3 day time frame of arrival, but every time I called to check on the status, they'd deflect and say they couldn't get a hold of the driver. The driver called me the afternoon before an 8am drop-off to say he'd be there the next morning. I'm lucky that I didn't have any conflicts on such short notice. During the move, 1 box and 1 heirloom trunk were lost. One of my TVs was also cracked. I called Imperial the same day to ask for claims forms, and they told me to expect the forms and a detailed inventory in my email that same day. I waited over a week and no email came. I've continued to reach out to them because I now have hundreds of dollars owed to me for the damaged and lost items. Frankly, I'm not confident I'll get a response. They have never once responded to an email from me. The final thing I'll note is that they are a broker and not a moving company, so it's hard to build real trust with them. The men who moved my things were perfectly nice people, but it was bizarre to see a rented U-Haul arrive at my house in CT for the pick-up (it didn't feel very professional), and the movers who unloaded everything in OR told me they had just found each other a few days before on Craigslist. These aren't people who have been thoroughly vetted and trained to do this work, which I suppose is why it's so cheap. I just wish I knew what I was trading for the discounted price. And I really wish I didn't constantly have to stay on top of them to be taken care of. The only point when I felt like they had excellent customer services was in the initial sales process. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. DO NOT USE THEM. For starters they Low-balled the estimate so 5 days before my move I find out the cost has more than doubled,.....it gets worse. The 3 day arrival time is useless, they would not tell me who they subbed the move to until the day they were supposed to come. Then they informed me the 3 day window was just an estimate. First there not movers there a broker so they do not send anyone out to do a walk through They rely on you to tell them what you have to move. Then they Do a quality call and ask again. My guy asked if i had anything to add and I told him a few things but he inflated my estimate by 35 boxes out of a conversation that was misleading at best. This company is the biggest scam, they not only lie and tell you they are military owned and understand that moving is difficult and offer huge discounts because they understand as vets that moving can be expensive and they care more for their clients and don't feel that charging high rates is needed, thus having you rent space in a truck with other movers to cut costs down tremendously. I was basically begged by their sales rep to use them and give them a try and they did in fact come in way cheaper than other companies so I said why not. BIGGEST MISTAKE of my life!! The rep quoted me a price and I specifically told him I did not and was not doing an inventory list because everything was already packed and in a storage unit ect... he said that was fine that they went by weight. He asked me to name several items that I would be taking and estimate how many boxes/storage containers ect... I did, he sent me a document that he wanted me to sign and of course pay 50% of the moving costs, I told him that the items listed only showed 3 items as my inventory and that was incorrect, he said oh don't worry about that we have to put something on there or the computer won't let us move forward but I have noted everything and you are good and we record our conversations, I paid as requested . So here we are a few days short of pick up. I flew in to be present and do you think they contacted me for the pick up of my items? Of course not I had to call them and then they changed the date and didn't bother notifying me. then on the day of they come and tell me they are here to pick up my items, I open the storage door for them to start loading and they tell me they are only there to pick up 3 items and I proceed to explain to them what myself and Dalton (The rep with Imperial moving group) spoke about with the inventory and they told me that I signed the document with the 3 items and that was all they were picking up. I tried to call Dalton, he didn't answer or return any of my calls of course. I then spoke to quality control and told them of our conversation and told them to pull up the recording and their response to me was that whatever was on the document was all that was going to be picked up, however I could pay to have the rest of my items picked up. I had already paid $3500 for this move and explained to them there was no way they would think anyone in their right mind would pay $3500 to move a lawn mower, a tote and a refrigerator for $3500, that for that amount I could have just purchased the items brand new if that was the case. Again they did not care and said there was no refund and I could either proceed or forfeit my funds already paid. Fast forward I had no other option as I mentioned they were 2 days late picking my items up and I had flown in just to be present for the pick up of my items and was flying back home the morning after my new pick up date. I had to pay the extra to have them take all my belongings, the movers were lazy and had the nerve to ask me how much of the items I wanted them to take, I told them everything, that it was a complete move, they again said so what all do you want us to take, I was so frustrated that I just had to pay 3x the initial amount and they were not trying to take all of my items. LOL then after they were finally done, they had the audacity to tell me that was a lot of work and asked me for a tip!!! I know it was not their fault for the situation, but seriously if you knew I just got charged almost $9,000 for a $3500 move why would you ask me for anything. As if things couldn't get any worse, they scheduled me for drop off and the guy showed up 2 days early and said he was 1 hour out to drop my items off, no previous communication or anything to see if an earlier drop off was possible. Unfortunately I told him it was Mothers Day and was not an option and that he could come the next day he was upset but I wasn't canceling my day with my family, especially for a company that didn't give a crap about me or raking me for an extra $5000+. The guy showed up the next day solo, he was alone with no help. I felt bad for him, he had to unload a whole 24' box truck by himself (not everything was mine as it was a shared load with another customer). I asked them repeatedly I didnt want my stuff transfered from truck to truck well my stuff came thrown together in a cargo trailer pulled by a dodge 3500 pickup. This is because they have not licensed dot truck drivers so if its in a cargo trailer they dont have to go through dot checking stations Buyer Beware I paid 1600 dollars extra to have my husbands motorcycles crated and they came wrapped what looks like a trash bag and wraped in a thin layer of plastic with bed rails sitting on top.When I called the company and complained because my son in law was there when they delivered they said oh its not in the contract these people are crooks with illegal immagrents working for them upon further investagation KAZ Interstate movers are the ones that picked up our stuff to move only to find out there business was located in Washington State there headquarters on in an empty house that is for sale. Upon further investagation the only dot driver listed for that company was not my driver how convient and he refused to show me his dot License and Im sure he did not even have a valid drivers license so if it wasnt the dot driver listed on there business license who was it? This is why I believe they had my stuff moved not once but twice or maybe 3 times . This company is ripping people off left and right hey lets get a class action law suit together so we can never let them rip anyone else off again. I would like to warn every single person that is looking for a moving company to avoid Imperial Moving Group. I booked my move with Spartan Moving company. They asked for a deposit of 1/3 totaling $1307 on my quote. I specifically asked if I canceled if I would get my money back. They replied, "yes, we understand that things happen so you will get a full refund if needed." Well weeks after me giving them the money I began trying to get a hold of someone, received a text that they were bought out by Imperial Moving Group. No one would answer my calls. I sat on hold for hours many times and never got through to anyone. Finally one of my emails were answered. I explained my situation. I was no longer moving. I have an ill family member so stayed with current job and current address. I was told that no one would ever tell me that I would ever receive a refund and their policy is within 48 hours. I would NEVER have given them a dime had that been the case! Perhaps it is at Imperial but that was not what Spartan told me. She said that she will keep my account open with a credit. If I don't use it in a year, then I will lose all my money. I need my money back!! I am staying in town. I will not leave my family when they need me. This is the worst most unprofessional experience of my life!! They are stealing money!!! This company is a broker. DO NOT USE! This company paired me with a moving company that most likely is tied to the Mafia. They went by the name of All Moving Services. They told me I would get a truck and that anything that could fit on the truck there would not be an additional charge. I had to be proactive in getting them to do the detailed inventory. Again no additional charge. Movers finally arrived a day late. Took a look around and told me I had too much stuff and that they were only tracking 3000 sq feet. It would end up costing me another $8000. Laborers were actually decent with stuff except for them taping directly onto antique furniture which wasn't seen until we arrived at destination. Laborer's finally finished late at night. Gave me a sheet of paper for filing any claims through CSIPros. Went to file claim and months later discovered that CSIPros does not service either the broker or the mover. This company is a nightmare. read more

This company is your worst moving nightmare. There are several businesses with the same name listed in different cities - this one in Boca Raton. We were given a quote and references at the start of the process. That quote changed when they did a follow- up inventory and AGAIN when they arrived (a full day late with no warning or communication). We were on a time crunch, so we literally left while all our belongings were still scattered in our yard. We sent our two young kids to live with their grandma while we waited for our things and slept on air mattresses because we had no idea when our things would be to our new home across the country. We called hundreds of times and we would get recordings, tossed from number to number with no call-back, and left with simply no clue about our entire house of belongings. The last time we heard from them- 24 hours ago (seven days post-pick-up), they said it could be 7-22 business days BEFORE THE TRUCK LEFT THE WAREHOUSE. We tried a few months ago to update our inventory and they said wait until the call before the movers come. 2 days ago we updated our inventory and they charged us an extra $2500. Not the end of the world.. we expected it would be more to make up for rising gas prices. We needed to have $4,000 cash for movers today. Today our movers showed up and told us our new quote was an extra $5,000 and wanted us to have $8,000 cash ready right then and there. Our initial quote was $8,000 today it was $16,000. We gave very specific inventory, this is not on us, this is on them. They weren't expecting us to say no thanks and book our own truck. omg! why did i fall for the b.s this company (and i use that term loosely) give me? they were great while they tried to get my business, but after the money was paid - they ghosted us. movers were scheduled from 2-5 on a sat., showed up at 9:15pm and proceeded to let us know they couldn't work past 11 and would send the 'am crew' the next day. no show, no call, couldn't get ahold of anyone - finally did - the exact crew showed up at 12:30 and basically complained the whole time. still trying to find out when the shipment will arrive at the final destination. i dealt with josh goldstein who insisted at every turn he would not leave us high and dry - guess what? he's a fraud just like this entire company. do yourself a favor - do not use them by any means whatsoever and i only wish i had gone with my gut and didn't listen to this used car salesman crap. live and learn. they are the absolute worst moving company i have ever dealt with and i've moved several times for work. they talk a real good game but absolutely do not stand by any shit they dish out when trying to get your business. not sure how they sleep at night knowing that they screwed a young family with 2 small children trying to start a new life in a new state who has never dealt with a full-service move before. they absolutely do not give a shit except to be sure they got their money and then you are nothing to them. please do not be fooled by this incompenent company. how do they still have a license with the dot? amazing - says something about the dot as well - i will also file a complaint with the bbb - not sure where that will get me - certainly won't help the damage that has been done. can't get anyone on the phone so not sure if the goods will ever get to the final destination. we were duped - do not be their next victim! read more
