What an amazing grand opening yesterday! I had the privilege of witnessing a stellar welcome to a new endorsed space to serve the community with services all offered in Imperial Nails Lounge. They had announced free pedicure for the first fifty attendees and they were true to their word. The service was not a so so because it's free, it was such a wonderful intro experience. Their massage chairs are a whole another level. They served food, drinks and we had so much fun participating in games where they gave away a lot of prizes. I can wait to try in the near future their waxing, brows, massage, facial (they offer lash services too!). And I'm definitely going back for the head spa with Annie! Congratulations Imperial Nails Lounge! You made your grand opening such a family affair with all of us!!!

I got builder gel nails for the first time and my first visit to imperial nails lounge on their grand opening day. I regret picking opening day as the day to get this expensive service, they seemed to just be overwhelmed and all over the place. In just a week one by one all the nails are coming right off, some of the nails have more coating than others, some of them are not filed correctly & so on. Overall it has been a really bad experience & though I really wanted to make this my go to salon, I will not be going back.

My technician filed my nails down twice to completely start over, which left my natural nails extremely thin and sensitive. By the end of the appointment my cuticles were cut and bleeding, and several of my fingers were raw and irritated around the nail beds. I didn't ask for anything crazy literally just square nails with one solid color. The absolute most basic nails you could get. I should've stayed home, saved myself the money, headache, and pain. Throughout the entire appointment I was asking her to make adjustments and explaining what needed to be fixed, but she still couldn't seem to understand what I was asking for. Multiple nails are uneven, the sides are over-filed, and the shaping is inconsistent. After sitting there for four hours and not getting anywhere with the technician, I went to the front desk to explain what had happened, and the receptionist literally laughed in my face like it was a joke. A nail appointment should never leave someone with cuts, bleeding fingers, and nails that look like this after spending that much time and money. I'm attaching photos so people can see the condition my nails and skin were in when I walked out. Will never be returning here again that's for sure.

After giving it some thought, I do believe I clearly communicated what I wanted, and I ultimately feel that I may have been overcharged. To start with the positives, I called ahead to see if they had availability for a walk-in. They told me it would be about 30 minutes, but I was welcome to come early and sit in one of the massage chairs while I waited. I appreciated that and did exactly that. It was relaxing to sit in the chair while they finished with other clients. Once they were ready, my pedicure began. I originally selected a lower-tier service, but the technician explained the Detox Pedicure very well and suggested upgrading. I agreed, and overall the pedicure experience itself was pleasant. While the pedicure was being done, another technician started on my hands with the manicure, but when another walk-in client arrived, that technician left to start a pedicure for the new client. The technician finishing my pedicure then move to her station and continued with my manicure and applied the clear dip. It was a seamless transition and excellent team work. I will say that I did like the quality of her work on my manicure and the dip. However, I did notice something with my pedicure. I had asked for clear polish on my toenails, and while it was drying it looked like some white dust had settled on the polish. I was trying to figure out how to mention it, but when the technician later applied oil to my toenails, the white appearance seemed to disappear and the nails looked glossy, so I assumed it had just needed to be brushed off. When I took a shower later that day my nails looked like I originally saw with a white dusty and matte look to it with some spot shiny. When I went to the register, I was surprised that the total was $130 before tip. I had calculated the $55 Detox Pedicure plus the $45 dip manicure, which I thought would be around $100. I assumed I may have miscalculated and didn't question it at the time, so I paid and left a 20% tip ($26) for a total of $156. When I got to my car and reviewed the receipt, I noticed there was an additional $10 charge listed for a "Cuticle Trim", along with a $20 "Additional Charge". $30 extra on to the bill. At most salons I've been to, the price of a dip manicure already includes the basic manicure prep such as cuticle trimming and nail shaping before the dip is applied. I get my nails done fairly regularly, and this is the first time I've ever been charged a separate and unclear $10 cuticle trim and $20 additional charge fee on top of the dip manicure price. The menu did not clearly indicate this additional charge, and it was never communicated to me beforehand. While I did enjoy the service quality of the manicure and the overall pedicure experience, I was not happy with the final finish of my toenails and was especially disappointed by the lack of transparency in pricing. This experience left me feeling unsettled. Clear communication about pricing, especially additional fees, is important so clients can make informed decisions before services are performed. Unfortunately, I don't feel that happened here. For that I don't plan on returning.
