I purchased my vehicle through my credit union's preferred buyer program, and my experience with this dealership has been nothing but frustrating. It took them months to process my title, and the paperwork was full of errors. I had to resubmit documents multiple times just to get the DMV to approve them. During all of this, my temporary tags expired -- a completely avoidable problem caused by their delays. They also advertised that the vehicle came with LoJack installed. What they didn't tell me is that they removed LoJack from the final sale documents without notifying me. I even received a welcome message from LoJack, but the service was never activated. When I contacted the dealership, the manager told me it would cost $799 to activate it after the fact. Whether this was a mistake or something intentional, it's unacceptable. A dealership should not misrepresent features just to close a sale. From my perspective, once they got the deal done, they stopped caring about anything else. I purchased a used 2024 Toyota Tacoma with 15,000 miles from this dealership on 1/30. It had a clean Carfax and was represented as a clean, one-owner vehicle with no damage. On 2/20 -- just three weeks later -- the truck broke down and had to be towed to a Toyota dealer. The diagnosis was rodent damage to the engine wiring harness. The battery was also not the original factory battery, which strongly suggests the vehicle had been sitting long enough for the battery to die and for animals to cause damage before it was sold to me. To their credit, the dealership agreed to pay for repairs. However, communication -- particularly from manager Derek -- has been extremely poor. Calls and messages have gone unanswered, and I've had to repeatedly follow up for updates while my nearly-new truck has been sitting in service. More concerning, the vehicle had three open recalls at the time of sale, including a critical safety recall. None of these were addressed before it was sold to me. A proper inspection and recall review should have occurred before listing the vehicle. Had that been done, the rodent damage likely would have been discovered prior to delivery. Rodent damage to an engine harness is not minor cosmetic wear. It raises legitimate concerns about long-term electrical reliability and the possibility of future issues from wiring damage that may not immediately surface. That is not something most buyers would knowingly accept on a nearly-new truck. I did not purchase a vehicle expecting major wiring repairs, open safety recalls, and uncertainty about future electrical problems within weeks of ownership. The vehicles electrical system is compromised and this dealership expects me to just eat it. read more

Regret & disappointment !! I found Impex through a car ad on Auto Trader. I read some positive Google reviews & decided to visit. The salesman, "Hash" also sent me a video of the car. I spoke briefly with him on the phone, and he also spoke to my son. Hash Let us know that "the car was in excellent condition, recently maintained, and was simply beautiful". I also shared that I had broken my neck and ribs a couple years earlier. Because of that, I especially needed a safe car, a reliable one that sat higher, and that I could back up easily. We arranged to visit the next day. Everything went downhill from there. We arrived at the dealership early. Hash did come in an hour early for us. However, he spent very little time with us overall, and more time on his phone. The car was running when we got into it. So, we never saw that there was a "system maintenance warning" when you turn on the vehicle. Apparently, they also did not want us to see this. We did drive the car for several miles and all seemed OK. There was an alignment issue and we did bring that up. Hash said "they would fix that for us". We purchased the car within a couple of hours (I already had my own financing). As I drove off, I noticed the "system maintenance" light come on. I thought it may have been an error. I wanted to believe Hash that the car was in "excellent condition". I texted him about this, as I was stunned that I was never told of this. I even said "I have to believe you would not have knowingly hid this from me". He said "that they could fix that when the car came in to be aligned". He said "the car had been maintained recently, but his mechanics failed to clear the message". Sadly, within 24 hours of purchase, the engine light came on and stayed on!! I could not believe this! It was a week worth of many hours lost at my job driving it back to Impex, and waiting for them to try & diagnose the issue. I'd already taken the car to a mechanic and hooked up a computer to read the error code. I made Impex aware of this code. They had the car almost 2 days, did a thorough check, and said "it was an electrical system issue and they would have a master technician look at it". Prior, they were not able to clear the engine light code. They eventually were able to clear it, and said "it wasn't the catalytic converter, an O2 sensor or a crack in the pipe to the converter". All things that I had researched in relation to the error code. But, they truly were not sure what the issue was. I came and got the car and hoped all had been fixed. Well, a week and a half later, the engine light is back on! The car is 3 yrs old with 25k miles on it. This should've never happened! And, they'd had the car for long enough prior to selling it to me to know these issues. As mentioned, I will now have to lose more time from my job, more sleepless nights, and have more HUGE disappointment about my decision to purchase from Impex. I will now be taking it to a KIA dealership and have them truly let me know what is wrong with it. This really has been a nightmare read more

My husband and I went into the dealership, hoping to trade in our vehicle. The dealership looks nice and classy when you first walked in. The sales person we worked with seemed to be OK. He presented himself very well and was very helpful in letting us see the vehicles that we wanted. They lowballed us really super bad and when we said that we were not willing to go in the hole for what we owed on our vehicle, the manager Lucius came over to talk to us. He tried to explain to us that he could make the vehicle worth more that we were interested in to help cover up for our loss.( Which really would have been no help, since you would end up paying more for the vehicle and still for the loss.) We had been there for several hours and we decided we were going to go take a lunch break. Lucious Promised us that he would give us a call and see how he could work with us. We stayed within a close distance waiting for a email or a phone call...which we never received either. Now I understand why this company has such bad reviews on yelp. Definitely something everyone should check out!! When you tell someone you're going to do something, you really need to follow through. Took numerous calls and emails... with nothing but excuses and shame blaming ... never taking ownership for the delay. From other reviews, corporate has serious issues with the post sale administration focusing mainly on the financing dept. I was given nothing but gaslight excuses... VA DMV backup... problems with my trade payoff. One day after I pushed, DMV completed my registration. Terrible professionalism. I purchased a car for a little over $10K with a $2K down payment. I then had the car for about a week and in the meantime, AFTER SETTING UP THE FINANCING AND SIGNING FOR IT AND PURCHASING NEW INSURANCE FOR SAID CAR, I quit my old job in preparation for starting my new one the very next week. Whether it's because of poor relations or communication with the bank that was financing my deal- the deal that had already made and signed for before driving off- they felt the need to contact me and bring me back to the dealership under the pretense of "signing more paperwork for the DMV". Once I arrived, I was demanded to "give back the keys" without any explanation or mitigation of the situation and was sent packing with a box they so graciously provided for me to hold all my belongings that were still in the car. (When I explained the situation and how I arrived there to a supervisor, i was shrugged off and shunted out the door) On the bright side, I was able to clean the car out myself and collect my belongings, then waited for my Uber to take me 40 minutes back to my home two towns over. Word to the wise, unless you're paying in cash, leave this place alone. I'm sure they sell lemons predominately as well, since most of their cars are either salvage claim or rebuilt. They included 1 year of LoJack but put a zero next to it. When they got the check they said it was removed from the deal, that's not what we agreed on. One thing I'm trying to wrap my head around is why the disconnect between reviews on Yelp (2.2) and some other sites (4.0+) for Impex Auto Sales. I had kind of a mixed experience with Impex Auto Sales. Being out of state I had concerns about purchasing a vehicle sight unseen but decided to give it a chance. Here is my experience. After locating a vehicle online (2023 Audi Q3) the initial negotiation and purchase process with Geoffrey Taylor went smooth. (Geoffrey was actually very nice to deal with). However, my experience with the delivery and post support was not great. First, watch for excess fees in the contract. The company initially included fees for ELT and LoJack tracking which amounted to nearly $1000. I do not want any type of 'tracking' placed on my car. The charges were removed at my request but honestly, there should be no assumption that I want or need these things. Second, delivery was a mess. The communication regarding transport and delivery was terrible. When the 3rd party transport company arrived they had non-functioning ramps which prevented the car from being unloaded. They also did not speak English so there was a communication barrier. After several hours messing around with tools that I provided, they left to find new ramps. All while my new car was sitting on the trailer parked in front of my neighbors house at night with hazard lights blinking for hours. After returning, the driver said he couldn't find ramps and that his boss in Brooklyn was "making a new set" at his neighbor's house, and they would return by next afternoon. Okay, onto day 3 of waiting. Again after nightfall, the boss arrived with ramps and they got the car down. Then he hands me 1 key. I asked where is the second key fob? He said to call Impex. I've purchased MANY cars, new and nearly new, and they have ALWAYS come with 2 keys. The car's onboard monitor even says there are 2 registered keys. If a key was missing then in full transparency this should have been disclosed prior to sale. A replacement Audi key fob is $600-700. Edit: Impex manager Sinisa reached out to apologize for the issue with transport and miscommunication about the key. He said they will work with me on a satisfactory resolution. So my rating is updated based on the excellent follow up. I feel like if you are buying a car 'sight unseen' from out of state, things will occasionally happen. How the company chooses to address the incident is important. In this case, I would say you can trust Impex Auto Sales to do the right thing. read more

The problem I had was that I wanted to see some electric vehicles and the one I test drive was undercharged and had some warning lights on. Had even sent a message the day before requesting a full charge but apparently that's not possible. Tried to look at another one but that one was completely dead... so eh. Did learn something about the cars but wasn't comfortable with the maintenance and cleanliness overall. FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES Be forewarned! LoJack is OPTIONAL and you can decline it! It's a money-making scam. Also, DECLINE the optional Gap Insurance policy. They add it to your bill before they ask you, then they refuse to take it off. It can add thousands to your cost, and even if you pay off the car within a few days, they will charge you a cancellation fee. The gentleman in finance forced us to buy both of these. He told us that we would get the money from Gap Insurance back if we paid within 30 days. We paid it within a week, but we got charged $87.20 to cancel it. The last paper we signed at the very end was regarding LoJack and the gap policy. In the small print at the bottom, it says "I understand that these are optional" and that they can be refused. They NEVER told us this during the sales ordeal. I made a complaint to the BBB and so far, they are refusing to reimburse us for the money. The finance guy intentionally misled us and withheld the information about the cancellation fee, I suppose because they get a kickback for this policy. "Fraud is a term that refers to the use of intentional deception to gain something of value, usually money. Fraud is generally committed through the use of false statements, misrepresentation, or dishonest conduct intended to mislead or deceive." I am considering calling the District Attorney about this company. read more

Overall I'm pleased with the car I purchased so far and the salesman (Ty) that I worked with was very good. BEWARE: make sure to double check your paperwork in the finance managers office that it matches up with what was discussed with your sales person. When signing the final papers I noticed some discrepancies in their mandatory LoJack system which in itself reeks of under body coating of the old days. Adding on a $500 option and never mentioning it to every car so that they can pad the price is more than a little disingenuous I think but alas. I told them I didn't want that option and they said the best they could do would be to discount it to $250. When I got in the finance managers office that price suddenly jumped to $800 without ever a mention of it. I was given an obvious lie of an excuse and had every other question dodged about it. Without being able to definitely prove this was done intentionally it sure seems to me to be at the least incompetence and at worst fraud. In summary, if you purchase a vehicle from Impex Auto Sales (or anyone else for that matter) make sure to get a copy of the deal that you sign and verify, verify, verify when you're signing papers. I must mention I have had this happen at other dealerships as well so it seems to be another one of those car dealer tricks that we all get pressured into just glancing over when it comes time to sign papers but this time I caught it. Granted I've been shopping around for a Bronco, inventory is not readily available due to manufacturing difficulties, and the market is inflated; however, I'm not sure why the sales reps and management keep changing stories to get someone into the dealership just to sit 4 hours. Alas, I left the first day only to be called an hour later and told that the deal could be worked out because they would lower their price, drop the install cost of low-jack (which i had no clue even existed), and offer more for my trade. After still not being able to work things out, I waited a few weeks and the Bronco is still sitting. The dealership lowered the price on their website so i reached back out but then offered less for my trade so they could continue the same sales games as before. DO NOT BUY THROUGH ONLINE SALES!!!!!! Purchased a 2023 4runner SR5 from Impex Auto Sales online. Purchasing through them online was a big mistake. For starters, the images on the website did not match the condition of the vehicle. I specifically asked the salesman (Sam) if the vehicle was damaged and was told that there was absolutely no damage. WRONG, the front windshield was cracked on arrival and needed to be completely replaced, the paint was chipped in multiple places and just painted over, and one of alloy rims had a huge chunk missing. I also asked for a video so they just rinsed the car to hide all of the exterior damage. I was also guaranteed a white glove detailing which was not completed. The car arrived as if it had been sitting in a lot for months. Please do not make my mistake and purchase a vehicle from them without first inspecting it yourself. This was my mistake but they should not be selling vehicles online with the option for home delivery if they lie about the condition of the vehicle. If I was told upfront about the damage I would have opted for another vehicle. read more
