Extremely Disappointed - Major Title Issues with Vehicle Purchase
On May 5, 2026, I visited the Greensboro dealership and purchased a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V after completing a test drive. I paid the full amount in cash with a cashier's check from my credit union, covering the vehicle price plus all applicable North Carolina taxes and fees.
At the time of purchase, I was not given the vehicle title. I was assured by the finance manager and another staff member that the title would be mailed to me shortly.
It has now been 15 days. The funds cleared my bank within 24 hours, yet I still have not received the title. I have already made four separate trips to the South Carolina DMV, where they have no record of the title. As a result, I am unable to register the vehicle, obtain tags, or legally drive it in South Carolina.
I have followed up with the dealership multiple times, and each time I receive the same response -- that the title is "on the way." This has left me in a very difficult position with a vehicle I paid for in full but cannot use or register.
I have now filed an official complaint with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol's Investigative Services Unit regarding this matter.
I strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from this dealership. A vehicle purchase should not come with this level of frustration and risk. I expect the title to be provided immediately so I can resolve this situation. read more
