There's something sketchy going on with an upper right molar and I decided to start with a root planing scaling (extra deep cleaning)... and see if that would help. It did a bit I guess but there might be more necessary so yay 2026! Anywhoo... this place is nice enough but its definitely more a family shop then professional office location is in a south Schaumburg strip mall and seems oddly designed. The admin staff seem okay but had a habit of not returning calls for 3 or so days which I was not a fan of in terms of service level. Loved Siena (dentist daughter) she was very cool and fun to chat with... her Dad was alright but seemed to over-explain basic dental procedures which made me think the demographics of clients were not critical thinkers... Ultimately though I think it wasnt a good fit after a year of trying their services... others might like the practice though.

Furthermore, they do not take insurance and make you pay up front. Well my insurance accidentally sent the reimbursement check to them instead of me, and instead of forwarding it to me (like they said they would) I never heard from them and they cashed the check! Four months later I had to call them when I realized I still never received the check- had I never called they would have made twice the cost of the exam (I paid them, and insurance also paid them).

The woman at the front desk was very helpful in getting us checked in and assisting us as our current insurance was ending that month. My hygienist was pleasant and went into detail issues she saw. I'm one of those patients who love a good, deep cleaning and she did not disappoint. The dentist was thorough with his plan of care with me, and answered all my questions regarding it as well. When I was told I had to go to an oral surgeon for issues with my 19 year old implant, I figured I'd go to Oramax being that my past experience was good. My appointment was 10/2/25 with Dr. Ads. I had an xray done and the Dr said I needed to have the implant replaced but being that he could tell how shocked and stressed I was about the situation, he recommended meeting with another Dr about possible laser treatment for the issue first. As I was leaving, I asked him if I could still get a quote/estimate for replacing the implant. On Monday 10/6, I called the office to ask if I could have the panoramic x-ray sent to me. Being that this is a big procedure, I just wanted to get a second opinion. I was told that I didn't have a panoramic x-ray, that it was a CT scan. I told her whatever it was that I had last Friday, can I get a copy of that. She said it would have to be put on a disc and picked up after 24 hours. I also told her I was waiting for an estimate and she said I should have that within a few days. On Thursday 10/9 I called to see if the disc was ready for pick up. The women didn't know what I was talking about. She looked at my file and said I had a panoramic x-ray and said it could just be emailed over (OMG, that's what I said the first time and I was told I was wrong). She did email that over. I then told her I was still waiting for an estimate since last week. She connected me to someone in the billing department. The women told me I would need an implant removal, bone graphing and implant replacement. She assured me that she would get me an estimate Friday (the following day, 10/10) morning. On Wednesday 10/15, being that I still had not heard from anyone, I called to leave a message for the dr. The receptionist asked what I was leaving a message regarding and I said I had questions about the implant. She wanted to know what the exact questions were. I told her I wanted to know the urgency to do the procedure and listed off a few more questions. She said fine and that she'd have the Dr call me. It is now Monday 10/20/25 and I have no received a quote OR a call from the Dr!! Very disappointing!!!!! I have read negative comments about the office staff many times but figured since the Dr is the one that does the work and he's always highly recommended, I'd continue to struggle through the difficulty with the staff. There's always a chance they didn't relay the message to him but at this point I'm pretty much done. I'd rather not spend thousands of dollars at a place where I feel disrespected.
