He told me that he is scaling back his operation to primarily exhaust and suspension work these days and is no longer open on Saturday. Whatever the case, I feel that's a positive for anyone requiring that type of work since Jeff will most likely be doing the job himself now. Another reviewer once complained that he took too long to perform services and charges too much. One of the main reasons I'm comfortable going to Hoekstra for my car repairs Is because he does take the time to speak in depth over the phone and in person about what's needed. Jeff gets the repairs right the first time and his prices are always reasonable. If you want a quick Jiffy Lube or cheap Walmart experience, this isn't the shop for you. I'll be sad when Jeff retires. Mechanics like him are hard to find, and when you do...you won't soon forget him!

We ran into a repair issue and the dealer had our vehicle on and off for months and still could not fix the problem. They misdiagnosed several times and used up our warranty and charged us out of pocket cost only for our engine light to return. I requested that he remove the bolt, drain the fluid and replace it. He said it was something he could do. So I waited inside to talk to the boss who happened to be on the phone.
