I tried for a few months to get in for service. I even dropped my car off for oil change told they would at least try and take peak to let me know what's going on. Even after all that still they didn't look at my car during the oil change. Then they tried to lie and say I needed wiper blades and air filter.... All things I changed in the last month. I even showed them the receipt where I bought the wiper blades. I kept my mouth shut and kept waiting at least to give them the benefit of the doubt. My Mistake they completely over loaded. There is a reason why so few mechanics refer this place. I should have listened. I was just hoping they would have some tools for bmw that the other shops didn't have on hand. 1 Star is way too many. I took my car there back in 2001 and they tried to rip me off. I had a water leak and they told me that for them to fix it, they would have to remove the water pump and since they were gonna be that deep that I might as well have a new timing belt put on. My issue was a busted thermostat housing hose. I knew what it was but I did not want to do it myself. Needless to say, I bought a $15 hose and had it wrapped up in about 30 minutes. I will never go back to this place again. The associate got upset and made the comment, "You people are always trying to get something for nothing." How many others have they ripped off that don't know a thing about cars. Luckily I am mechanically inclined. It's been 22 years and every time I pass by their shop I am reminded of that day. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about choosing Imports Only but I am so glad that I did! I had the brakes on my 2018 Volvo XC replaced and was completely satisfied with not only the service but also with the friendly staff. Listened to all my concerns. Very professional. Local business. Worst service ever. We had our car in for repairs because we used them a while back and it was ok. This night was total BS time and time again. We live a ways out and they knew that. We called to tell them we were coming to get the car and had to leave a voice mail because no answer. Drove 108 miles in a borrowed truck. Car not ready. They said they didn't get msg because they don't know how to use their VM. AND BLAMED US for not posting on Facebook what????? They wanted it another 8-10 days. We were borrowing our sons truck because he had to leave country and we had his kids in carseats. Finally had to take truck back went to get car. Got there took car home guess what a part that worked did not work anymore. So a couple days later we drove that car and our small car over because they said they need to keep car multiple days. We got there a couple hours later they called said some get it. When we arrived they said "We didn't break that part you had a 20 amp breaker where there was supposed to be 5 amp. Husband said no technician came out said. You didn't have wrong breaker, but the part just quit working while it was here. BS. Total cost $2750 buck part still broken. We put Over 800 miles going back and forth back and forth with 2 vehicles one a gas hog. Don't go there. big surprise! automobile mechanics since time immemorial have been lying thru their teeth... and these guys at GIMPORTS BALOGNA are no different, except they charge more $$$$$$! the pros across the street from Kroger on Russell can work on your special car for 1/8 of the price - you can actually see the bay with vehicles on the lift, and they will tell you straight up what you are paying for - or you can just blow your money spent on purchasing parts at 300% mark up - when the procedure more than likely does not need to be done- we're talking getting charged $120 bucks to fill a coolant reservoir!!! read more

I've been dealing with them for years with no issues but recent changes in the ownership or management...all new faces. Anyway I took my car into have a technical inspection which is required if you want to go through the BMW CCA driving school at Road Atlanta. Everything checked out fine but Jamie showed me a picture of one of my rear tires he took with his phone and there was a nail or something embedded in it, plus they reported on the form that I was below minimum tread depth at 3/16". Well, I was surprised naturally since the car only had 22,000 miles on it (bought it used). So he offered to quote me a price on a new set of rears and I wasn't interested because I buy my tires from Tire Rack and have them shipped to me. Pretty upset because it's a CPO I bought at BMW of South Atlanta only a month ago. Called the Sales Manager there and told him the story, he reviewed the records and said that the inspection was done and there wasn't a requirement to replace the tires since 5/16" is the minimum before the wear bands begin to indicate a lack of tread. He said they were trying to trick me and sell me a new set of tires which kinda pissed me off. So since Atlanta's so far away, I called the service manager at BMW of Macon and discussed the issue with him, he volunteered for me to drive up and he would personally measure the depth and then if they did in fact sell me my car with wore out tires, he could provide some validity being a dealership and they would hopefully replace the rears. So I drove up there this morning, second car in line and Andrew, the service manager, took the tread depth gauge, got down on the floor on both rear tires and at the very worst, he measured 7/16" which is normal for a car with that many miles. So I am totally blown away that these crooks pulled a cheap trick like that in order to make a few bucks. Andrew suggested I never do business with them again and he's right. You know, you try and use local companies when you have issues and not go with the large dealerships but in this particular case, I made a mistake. I had my truck towed up there for a power failure. They called me and picked me up later to sign the paperwork. Told me flat out that it was going to be $100 to do the inspection. They drove me over to a rental car place because it was going to need a couple of days. When I returned, my truck was working, and because they couldn't find the error, they didn't even charge me. Turns out, the power failure was linked to a factory-recalled problem that the dealership would have to fix anyways. They have a very friendly informal atmosphere, which I found refreshing. They had a cool dog while I was there, too. :) read more

This was one of my go to automotive repair shops. My last two experiences has been awful. First of the two, my car was not put back properly after the repair. And they lost the key portion to my FOB. And I had to get that repair done again. But I assume it was because the car is a BMW. He second visit however was even more terrible. Went in for an oil leak. They found one leak and called to let us know how much it would cost not including the standard $150+ for diagnostics. Then the next day after repair, they said they found another leak...understandable. But then gets crazy from there. We were told that it would be done Friday but they needed a special tool. They got that tool and couldn't get the leaking part out. The following Monday, they tell me that they did another inspection and found debris in the oil pan. More work....so I owe approximately $1100. Now it will take another $2800+ to repair. The original two leaks were suppose to be repaired but one wasn't and that it would take another $500+ in labor to fix. So I just told them to button it up. I had to pay about $800 and my car leaks worse than it did before. They did discount it after I complained about labor that wasn't done but I was being charged for it. I believe I wasn't informed as I should have been up front. And the explanations were too vague which led to my trust issues with them. I'll never take anything back to them. I give them a one star because they did finally discount the labor that I thought I shouldnt pay. So I was at least compensated but still left with oil pouring out of my engine.
