I am so fortunate to have found such a high quality stylist that is very open to hearing any and all feedback. She wants you to be satisfied 100%. She's picky so it makes me feel more comfy that I'm also picky Her hair cutting skills are off the charts. She has delivered every time I've come in. She just gets it. Hair cutting is much more precise than color, to me. She's experienced, but an eager learner who is always furthering her education. And I love Aveda! Although the owner, Jan was very unprofessional w dealing with this. If all my money was refunded I would not be posting this... My first time here and I booked for a partial hili that is quoted starting at $95. I had existing level 9/10 blonde that I had asked for baby lights only on the top to connect midlength-ends. The stylist said no prob. ( I have had this done before so I know it is doable). I also stated I don't care about the sides or underneath, just the top. Stylist mixes bleach then takes almost an hour to foil a partial. She did side panels, and the top... because it took so long I was aware that she never refreshed her bleach which deactivates after about 30min. I also was aware that the last foil placement was the top and fringe area:/ this means my hair did not lift at the areas I specifically asked for. I waited awhile for bleach to process....then she stated that she will add a beige/ash gloss to tie the color all together. After the gloss/toner my existing blonde seemed closer to my natural color but was pretty. I couldn't really see the hilights well in the salon until I got home. They are super brassy/orange level 7/8!!! Soooo bummed. The appointment was 3! hours long and I was charged $180! When I asked what the breakdown was, the front gal stated, partial hili, gloss and blowout. What! Being charged for a blowout after a color service was boggling to me. I thought they must have this posted on there website. Nope. So I was suppose to walk out of there w wet hair and not see what my color actually looked like to save $55 for a blowout. Crazy. The owner Jan stated she oversees all Aveda salons in this territory and that is what they all do. Really? Why is this not posted somewhere? Hmm. Very disappointed w the lack of communication from the stylist who was not able to achieve what she stated. And extremely disgusted w the owner who didn't take ownership of my experience. I now have brassy/orange hilights, the worst.

I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS, i have never in my life experienced anything like this and its honestly…read moreheartbreaking today i found this salon after some research, messaged the manager explaining exactly what i wanted and showed a picture of what was my current hair i explained i had a lot of new growth and wanted to bring it up, it looked way too overgrown and i wanted to bring up the root and tone my whole head when i sat in the stylists chair i physically showed her with my fingers multiple times how much of my natural color/root i am comfortable keeping it was about an inch give or take she made me feel really comfortable and secure it's very scary going to a new salon and trusting someone with your hair i also told her verbally multiple times i am wanting to bring up my new growth more than anything i didn't care so much about the green blonde but if we could tone everything to match that would have been great i never asked for color remover never asked for highlights i really was confused when she started doing foils, i didn't know she was only doing highlights at the time i couldn't see myself so i genuinely thought she was bringing up my new growth as we talked about along with highlights we talked about her doing that and blending my roots so everything looked together enough i told her multiple times my biggest thing was the darkness i had, and she kept assuring me it was going to work out and that she understood after sitting under the dryer she brought me back to the chair and took out the foils, i still couldn't see myself for a few and once i did i noticed it was still dark when i noticed she seemed to notice my face and assure me it was because my hair was wet she then decided she wanted to try color remover i asked her NUMEROUS times if it was going to be damaging, i never once asked for color remover but seemed as if she was almost promising and offering so i thought it would be fine im going to say, i really trusted haley, she was very nice and warm at first. She really did make me feel comfortable again my concern wasn't specifically only the green, just the overgrown roots she did the color remover, it worked okay then she started toning, after all was finished she started drying my hair and it looked awful i once again still don't even care about the green my hair is just as dark as when i came in just with highlights it made me feel so down and i have a hard time speaking out so i asked to use the bathroom when i got in the bathroom i looked in the mirror and just started crying i had spent 4-5 hours there and this is what i got when i came out i was apologizing for crying and her whole demeanor changed, she had an attitude, a nasty tone, never apologized, she then went on to tell me i could come back saturday but pay for it once i started explaining what happened verbatim she went from blaming me to saying "i misunderstood" she told me 3-4 times she "misunderstood" never apologized still, i asked to speak to her manager and she ignored me i genuinely was going to pay in the moment, even being upset i thought i should as i went to grab my things and ask if she takes card or digital payment she very nastily said "you're not leaving here without paying" that just made me feel so awful i had every intention of paying her even though she messed up that made me feel so small i went outside and stood there for 5-10 mins calling people asking for advice her and another lady just looked at me out of the window talking i messaged her and the manager and was ignored but sent different invoices after my texts all i wanted was an apology and a fix that i don't have to "pay for" because i didn't mess up i was extremely clear with what i wanted so im not understanding how she misunderstood

I'm not going to name the stylist because she was very sweet and kind throughout this experience. On 10/14 I spent over $200 for a service I did not receive. I came into the salon as a professionally colored brunette with some roots showing. After a consultation with my stylist, we agreed to touch up my roots and add lighter pieces up to my roots and the majority of my lower hair for a full balayage with a natural grow out look. After my next shower and straightening my hair, I realized that my roots had NO color, there were harsh horizontal lines all over my head, and a large section of the hair on the back of my head had NO color. I emailed the salon requesting a refund. In response, I received an Instagram message from the stylist offering color correction at no charge. I kindly denied not wanting to risk the health of my hair with lightener and bleach more, in addition to not feeling comfortable with the quality of service I would receive and having to find child care for over 4 hours again or take off time from work. She said she would let the owner know my decision. I emailed the salon 3 more times after that with no response. I messaged the stylist again on Instagram requesting that the owner call me by end of day or I would come to the salon in person to resolve this. The owner called me 11/1 and she was MEAN. She told me that my poor result was my fault after needing so much color correction in the first place... I simply had an even brown hair color..? The color correction I need is because of the terrible service I received at her establishment.. She told me they don't offer refunds, and became very defensive when I calmly mentioned my concerns about not wanting to further risk the health of my hair or get childcare for 4+ hours again. Her response to that was that she has been in the business for over 20 years and has never had a balayage take less than 4 hours. Okay, fair.. I just was explaining why I would prefer not coming back and time was one of many reasons. I asked 3 times why she didn't reply to my emails and it took her over 2 weeks to finally respond with this phone call. She eventually said that she was "busy doing business things yesterday". That call ended with me in tears. I just wanted my concerns to be noted, not to be belittled by the owner. Photos are what I asked for and agreed with the stylist on doing at the consultation vs what I received.
