I'll admit I'm often tempted to go with a national chain, but especially at this time wanted to do business with a local small operator. In addition to the overall quality of the work, I was pleasantly surprised at what they were able to do with a very reasonable budget and also with limited selection due to COVID-19. This was my first time to in Bloom floral design studio, and I came to buy a nice bouquet for my daughter who is starring in a theater production. I really had no idea what to buy so I asked for some assistance they had nothing to show me, but with the woman who helped me explained it and it sounded really nice so I said yes and said I would be there before closing time to pick it up. When I arrived to pick it up, the bouquet was smaller and not quite what I had in mind. I wanted something that would make an 11-year-old girl really happy. So even though it was closing time they took it back and re-did it for me and it looked amazing. I asked him if I could pay more money for it and they said no, that it was their mistake. They definitely went beyond the call of duty on this one I really appreciated it. I found myself a new florist here. read more

Yesterday about 15 minutes to closing I walk into the store to conduct the business of purchasing a dozen of roses, two half dozens, and three roses of three all wrapped. I told the young lady at the counter that I was interested in red roses and a friend of mine would be interested in yellow roses. I was in a Army uniform and I stated it was for a Change of Responsibility Ceremony to be conducted on Friday. She quoted me the price on a dozen but the price quoted on a half dozen wasn't commensurate in my opinion to a half dozen. So I question that in a professional manner. She went to the back to consult with someone a returned with a price. I felt this price was in more align of a half dozen. She never made eye contact with me when she return to give me the revised quote. Then she had an attitude which was not commensurate with a business that's in a customer oriented. I never said a harsh word to her. I'm a 35 year service member retiring for the Army and my intent was to purchase flowers and potential provide her with another customer who's changing position me. So I said to her that my money spends everywhere and I refuse to spent it where I'm meet with an attitude because I inquired about the price. Disappointed because I was referred by a coworker! I went around the corner and purchased the same flowers configuration at Bishop's Flower. Loose the attitude and remember you're in a customer service business. Thanks! read more
