I was so very hopeful this therapy would help him. But the scan showed measurement results that disqualified him for the treatment they offer. Despite the fact that the appointment was 2 months away, upon canceling the first appointment, they would not refund any money. It cost over $100, and there is no legitimate reason for refusing to refund this money given that his test results showed he didn't qualify for their treatment, based on standards they require. So disappointed in them. I had seen Dr. Tenpenny speak at a conference and had very high hopes for this therapy, and to be treated like this is unspeakable. Go elsewhere. If they take money for something where they don't provide a service, especially one not covered by insurance and it's all out-of-pocket, then this is not a legitimate health facility.

I work extremely hard & I have to take time off work to go here during their opening hours....and 5 out of 6 visits have not started on time - more than 30 min late. I came back so many times bc you pay 100% up front, so I'm using up my pre-paid services but I will not be back unless a serious effort is made to stay on time & respect my time and money. It's a shame because they do offer unique services that are hard to find in Cleveland area. Today they are training a new person so due to that I was started 30 min late & I was not asked if I was ok with someone training during an intimate treatment! It's unprofessional- I understand people need to learn, but at the very least I should have been notified or possibly offered a discount for the inconvenience it caused to start so late. If you are a person that has tons of free time then this may not be an issue for you, but when you are a person balancing a busy schedule and coming here to improve your health & wellness it has not been a great experience for me due to scheduling /late start problems . I'd understand if I was in a hospital waiting for an exam, but this is a wellness center - they should be able to book accordingly to stay on time!

I know it may be weird or uncomfortable to write a review on some as hush-hush as a colonic but it's so important to get the word out--it's incredible for your health & well-being, your friends & family members NEED TO KNOW! Who knows, it COULD literally save someone's life. So don't be shy, REVIEW :) I was in town visiting family--about an hour away from Gentle Waters--and due to a lot of factors was experiencing severe stomach cramping. This is not a new feeling for me so I knew that these stomach cramping sessions can last days on end. I had spent the night curled up on the bathroom floor, completely sick to my stomach, so tired, but in so much pain I was unable to sleep. I considered going to the emergency room but I had done that before in a similar situation and they were unable to help me so I decided to go a different route with a colonic. I called Gentle Waters in TEARS because of the pain and Beth assured me that everything was going to be fine and that she could help. After making the trip up to see her, I immediately knew I was in good hands. I've had colonics before but have never felt more comfortable or at peace in an environment like Gentle Waters. So clean, so inviting..just a very warm welcoming feeling when you walk in. Beth is very knowledgeable & kind. She speaks from her heart and something about her makes you feel like she's a mother-figure..only wanting what's best for you. She taught me a lot that day and I am so grateful for her and her willingness to serve in this area. I've never met anyone in this field who cares as much as Beth. I live out of the country, but am from Michigan originally. I know many people can't understand…read morethe concept of having a colon cleanse, and if you are on the fence, this review is for you. And yes, some of this is TMI, but I am hoping to reach and help others. I recently had an intestinal health issue - my ileocecal valve was inflamed and not functioning properly. I don't always have access to organic foods where I live so I think the accumulation of pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides affected my normal function. I had pain and an overall feeling as if something was stuck. I tried supplements and changing some things in my diet, and those did help. But I knew I needed a colonic. Noone offers this service where I live, so I came to Michigan a couple weeks ago to visit family and booked a colonic with Michelle. First thing to mention is that Michelle offers the closed system - far superior to the open system, which I tried in California in 2012. The open system is like a continuos enema, which isn't bad, but the water and cleanse can't reach to the other side like it does with the closed. And that's exactly what I needed for my problem. Michelle does a way better job at explaining the differences between the two, but all I can say is - I will always go for the closed method. Second thing to mention is I ended up needing two treatments to get through all the sludge and blockages in my descending colon to access the ascending colon. I brought a friend with me (that's a good friend!) and she ended up purchasing a four pack. If I lived near someone that offered colonics, I would go yearly or maybe twice a year. I know people who go regularly and others who only go when they have an issue. When you think about it, it is kind of weird to think about getting your butt cleaned out, but - just don't think about that. Instead, think about all the money, doctor's visits, and pain you could save yourself by having this done. That's the way I look at it. About half-way through the second session the hard plaque-like blockage came out and I immediately felt relief. Now, my digestion is 100% and I am pain-free. There was no pill that I could have taken to cure my issue and it cost me 2 treatments of colon hydrotherapy and 2 hours of my life. If you are someone thinking about this, I encourage you to call Michelle and discuss your questions with her. I really believe in the healing and preventative benefits of this service.
