I witnessed him be condescending, disrespectful and demean the knowledge and care that Jalina the assistant at Lake Houston Dental Care was graciously extending towards me throughout my entire time there. At first I dismissed his comments towards her, which seemed to be a mistake, as he is very comfortable at speaking to women the way that he does. I told him about some 3D X-rays I'd gotten done the Assistant wanted to look it up to see if they had put it in my file and he starts telling her you'll never find it, and please teach me if you do, then when she couldn't find it after he was mocking her openly in front of me, she just stood back and allowed him to try and find it, he started going off on her telling her never in the history of creation have the systems operated like that and continued to berate her openly in front of me. I was silent for a minute before I quietly said, Dr. Anosike is this how you talk to the women in your office? And he started trying to say I don't understand all sides and that he wasn't being mean towards her, and I was confused on the feelings, I then told him my once low blood pressure is high and my heart rate is up after listening to him talk to her that way, so it's no mistaken feelings, he then walked out of the room. I immediately got up out of that chair so quick. Looked Jalina in the eyes and said never let a man speak to you and treat you this way, but you don't have to do nothing because I'll handle it. And walked out to file a complaint. PSA:The number posted to file a complaint for the board in Austin Texas is a dead end and doesn't lead anywhere. Be weary, this man travels, and is also the OS at the location on park lakes dental. (They are very much aware of his behavior as well). This man is a disgrace to all OS in humble, and to be a Nigerian man at that. I can assure you he's shamed his mother and father for raising a man of this character. It's an abomination to God and I pity his wife if he has one. If he was concerned about his personal life being examined, he would have shown greater care at being professional in the workplace. I'd rather keep my imperfect smile than let this man operate on me. Nothing will go well for a man like this. I'm studying Narcissistic personality disorder in school, and I can assure you, I've gained in the field experience from this encounter.

What could have been an informative and empowering experience quickly turned into a frustrating lesson in how profit can be disguised as patient care. The dentist hinted at some "serious concerns" during my exam, but rather than addressing them with transparency, she dangled the information like bait--only to reveal that I'd need to schedule another type of appointment (with an entirely different fee structure) if I wanted to hear the full story. That kind of manipulative upselling left me feeling more like a sales prospect than a patient. The final insult was being charged an additional $25 to access digital scans I had already paid $355 for. I'm not sure how withholding a patient's own medical records unless they pay an extra fee fits into the "holistic" ethos, but it certainly didn't feel ethical. Thankfully, I visited another holistic dentist soon after and had a completely different (and far more respectful) experience. Had I not done so, this visit to Adore would have left a bad taste in my mouth of holistic care--no pun intended. I'd advise others to do their homework and choose a provider whose priority is truly your health--not just your wallet.

I am one who travels far when I trust a doctor/dentist because it is very very tedious for me to…read morerebuild that rapport again - I used to drive from Houston to Austin for the day just for a cleaning or to see my derm/OB/GYN, etc. I originally went to a dentist in Midtown when I moved back to Houston and he performed a filling, but postoperatively, I felt a sharp pain when I chewed on soft or crunchy foods. So, I went back to them for a reevaluation and they did not see anything and attempted to file my upper tooth down thinking that was the issue. The sharp pain persisted and I LOVE MY CRUNCHY FOODS, so I decided to take a day trip to my Austin dentist and they performed these tests to see if my teeth were misaligned and they took a look, but found nothing again. Unfortunately, the pain persisted, so I googled another provider and came upon Dr. Hassid. Him and his staff are so friendly, personable, and accommodating. Being that I had a recent XR with my dentist in Austin, he waived that fee for me as a new consult as well and just had my Austin dentist email my XR results over to his office so he can evaluate it - saved me tons of $$. He ended up fixing my filling and thanks to him, it's now pain free for me to consume my favorite food texture again.

They were extremely thorough with my cleaning, and talked to me in-depth about the condition of my teeth based on various x-rays and photos: what I'm doing right, what I could improve upon, what I might be at risk for, and more. The dentist also talked me through what to look for when buying toothpaste and mouthwash, and provided scientific explanations for which products work best. The new patient/scheduling process is very smooth, as well. I simply filled out the new patient form online, got an email the next day from the office to schedule my appointment (which worked great for me, since I often can't take phone calls during the day), and was ready to go. Overall, I'm very impressed with the organization of the office and the kindness and consideration of each individual I interacted with! Definitely recommend.

After my visit, I can honestly say he is the real deal. He is thorough and will go over your whole dental history in order to answer all your questions. He is honest, and will only recommend treatment you REALLY need unlike the majority of dentists I've experienced in Houston and Florida. Plus, he is really competent. I had to have an old, huge Mercury containing filling drilled out today, and it was honestly pain free. He is the first dentist to ever tell me not to swallow, due to the Mercury, and so frequently suctioned, that I didn't feel I was drowning. He recognized that this was a huge ordeal for me, (and him), and frequently stopped so that I could relax my jaw, and even massaged my jaw to help lessen the ordeal. I do not have Dental Insurance, but I am paying pretty similar to my copayment, when I had I dental insurance, through my deceased husband. I will never go to another dentist in the U.S.
