They offered pretty much the same services as the vet, but a little extra touches, like offering more clay paw prints, ink paw prints, and more variety of personalized urns. All that In Memoriam offered was right for our situation because our dog was our first family dog and the first dog that we had to help cross over the rainbow bridge. I understand memorial items aren't for everyone, but it's what my family and I wanted in our dog's memory. Originally post: This is the second time I have used this business for my horses. I had no issues the first time. This time seemed fine too. When I filled out the paperwork I told the man I wanted the companion cremation and asked if I should circle that option. He said no that someone would contact me. I circled it anyway and should have taken a photo of the paperwork, but I thought he was going to give me a copy since it was a carbon copy form with multiple copies. He didn't and didn't realize it until later. Well no one ever contacted me regarding the service, but I received a condolence email that had a link to the bill. That is when I found out they did the more expensive individual cremation. I immediately sent them an email about their error but have not received a response. I called Bethany at 6:30 in the morning, and she was able to send someone to pick up my cat from my parents house, transport her to get cremated and have her back home in 2 days. I am so disappointed in their services. My family, like all their clientele, was vulnerable and heartbroken by the loss of our pet and we put our trust in this company to treat them with dignity. In the past (not necessarily the same company but for three pets over the course of 15 years) our pet cremains have been returned to us in a beautiful wooden box with an engraved plaque. This place? They asked if we wanted an urn, we said yes. I thought the urn or box was inside the cardboard box we received. I was taken aback when I opened it. That cardboard box was the "urn." Moreover, the cremains were in a clear plastic bag within a see through pouch. Their presentation is shameful and sends a message that they don't care. In Memoriam did a marvelous job handling the details of our dog's cremation. They were very patient while we decided what we wanted to do. In fact, they stayed beyond closing time to accommodate our late arrival. We ordered an urn from their website which was delivered to our home, well packed insuring safe transport. They are handling working with a vendor to have some of the ashes infused into a beautiful blown glass pendant. They did a great job creating a clay dog print as well as an ink paw print and nose print. It has been a pleasure working with them to create a memorial for our dear deceased pet. Not happy with the people at In Memoriam Pet Services. My sweet little bird passed away and I had him cremated. The process was several hundred dollars with the additional cost of the container for the ashes. They include a clay paw print with each cremation. I worked at a clinic where we did these and always took the time to smooth out the lines and make it look as nice as possible. The paw print I received looked like it had been stamped multiple times and nothing was smoothed out. They even had the audacity to stamp their logo on the back! My pet's death is not your marketing opportunity! It looks like utter crap and just made this already hard experience harder. Whoever made this obviously took little to no care or thought. I didn't expect a masterpiece, but this is just ridiculous. Waiting to hear back because I am extremely upset. Wish I had kept his body and either did it myself or done the cremation through his normal vet (it was new year's day when he passed and I just wanted to get the process done). read more
