It is great for walking with no interruptions or noise and the paths are clear. I know there is an archery range or something but I have never visited. I also am aware that people bring their horses out to ride. All the times I've gone, I've only run in to other people twice so it must be pretty large. Parking and space is ample!

I took my new (to me) Hoyt Vixen to them to have the draw length adjusted, install a new sight, adjust the peep sight, and have arrows cut for me. I'm new to the sport and I know that was obvious but they were patient with me as they helped me get the bow set up correctly. There are plenty of sporting goods stores in Lexington that sell archery equipment but I think R&R is worth the trip to Georgetown for the level of service and selection they offer.

I saw their grand opening sale ad in the newspaper and drove down to check it out and maybe buy some gear. I put on my mask and walked into the store about 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, (during a week when Covid-19 was running rampant). I was met by a young female sales clerk not wearing a mask who approached close to me. When I asked her "aren't you supposed to be wearing a mask?" she responded "No". I noticed that NONE of the sales staff were wearing masks. A moment later the manager/owner approached me, so I asked him "Aren't you and your sales staff supposed to be wearing masks?" He said "No". I told him I was a senior and caregiver to a 94 year old veteran and needed to keep him safe. Then I asked him "isn't it the law that you and your staff are supposed to be wearing masks in a retail store?." I never raised my voice, was polite - just asked that question. He responded "No!" and told me to "please leave my store" and shooed me out. I was shocked. This is the first time in my life I have been asked to leave any establishment. Maybe the owner thinks he's being tough, or that no one can tell him what to do, or even patriotic. If so, maybe he should rethink his position in light of the dozens of veterans who have died from Covid at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, just down the road from his store. I will never go back to the Whitetail Heaven Outfitters Store in Nicholasville. NOTE: I don't know why the Yelp site is saying I'm from California. The farms that we randomly drew were not the best hunting ive ever had to say the least, but it was luck of the draw, other hunters in camp had incredible farms, and they all had amazing hunts! with that being said i killed the biggest bird of my life and he did it right, i had a great hunt and filled my tags on 2 great birds but they did not come easy! My partner and I just left from opening weekend of turkey season and to say it was a disaster is putting it mildly. He can post all the pictures he wants but those turkeys were sheer luck. The land is over hunted. The "lodge" is their personal home where your crammed into space if your single and as a couple let's just say the room was less than ideal with glass doors where anyone can see in and no quiet or privacy. The toilet didn't work so we're sharing spaces between hunters. We were told there was a yard and a pool if we needed it. Surely in jest but the issue wasn't fixed. The room was dirty. The bathrooms in the lodge broke down. Ice machine broke down. Told we could use the washer. Broken. The food they post is not what you're served. Look up the outdoor living article. 19 hunters crammed on minimum leases. No scouting. Didn't hear or see a bird. Fair chase is one thing. Over hunted poorly managed property is another. His kids were running the outfit. One guide. George. He tried hard to get us on a bird but it didn't happen. But the experience over all was trash. When we stopped for ammo in town they outright told us Tevis didn't pay his leases and had a bad reputation in town. A short google search last night revealed they weren't wrong. I've traveled all over and have hunted and fished. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose it's the name of the game. This place is an outright scam. Paying people to remove poor reviews and creating new pages isn't going to change a thing. Better business bureau. Yelp. And just about every hunting page is going to reveal the true story.
